Absolutely love all your stuff Pooky, I've learned so much in last couple of years, on a journey with my own 16 yr old recently diagnosed and passionate about early identification of autism in girls. Keep sharing!

Loved this webinar replay @pooky really useful information and explained in an easy way to understand. Recognise a lot of what you say in myself and in lots of children I have worked with.

This is such an illuminating video. I think anyone who works with people with autism or mental health diagnoses should watch this or at least part of it. As professionals we often have expectations of what autism looks like and don’t respect the fact that individuals own experiences can differ greatly from the within group norms.

Thank you Pooky for this. Another brilliant video, Can't believe I missed the live webinar but so grateful that you have put up a recording of it. i would definitely be interested in something about the link between autism and gender dysmorphia. And I too did not know there was a Ted Talk about Spoon Theory. Was talking to a parent about it just last Friday so will check out the Ted Talk. Thanks

Jenny Lawson fan and fellow Spoonist here. I had no idea there’s a Ted talk about The Spoons!!! Although its late in the mental health & diagnostic game, females w/autism, add and other (disorders?) are finallllllly being studied more and more. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Great videos and information. 😽

Anxiety can be triggered by literal thinking, which can be a flag. I thought the school was burning down when the fire alarm went off and refused to enter the building because I misinterpreted the instructions during fire drill.
