Nicely done. No lost boat hook and no divorce in the offing. That's a successful morning 😀

My wife and I got a good chuckle from your comment! We’ve seen a lot of sailing couples yelling at each other over the years. We’re pretty good about staying calm. Thanks for commenting!

@@tcsadventures We are sailors ourselves and have a 51ft Beneteau here in the UK. We are chartering a cat this December in the BVI's. It will be the first time we have sailed a cat. Your video has helped us understand the difference in the process from mono hull to cat. We have lost a few boat hooks and had some "disagreements" in the past as all sailing couples do 😀. Blue tooth headsets are a great help to the marriage lol. Happy sailing.

@@darren5472 I’m jealous! We’ve had our Hunter 30 for over twenty years and I’ve been looking at 38 and 40 Beneteaus recently, but don’t have my wife on board for a new boat lol. I’ve wanted a cat after we chartered one in the BVI and Italy. But cost and available slips are obstacles. We first did BVI with our kids several years ago and the cat was such a different experience. So much space and having an up galley and salon. I don’t know if you’ve sailed BVI before, but if you haven’t and you have any questions feel free to email me at: tcadventures2@gmail.com

Great! Are you using a charter company?

@@tcsadventures yes. Horizon out of nanny cay. Been dreaming about this for awhile. We are also coming from CA so definitely looking forward to the end of the travel day. That’s the biggest source of anxiety. After that it’s the ability to explain to my wife how to grab a mooring ball.

@@tcsadventures update: overall a great trip. We did go out during a storm which turned out to be hurricane Nicole so that was something. By the end of the week the kids were tying the cleat hitch which was awesome.

I’m glad you guys had a great time! Yeah it’s really cool when the kids get involved and learn a new skill on the water! Thanks for the update!

I would suggest you pull back with the engine in reverse on any morning ball. Its the best way to check of it will hold your boat. Check out "the sailing family" video where the new mooring breaks in Bali. Almost destroys their Outremer cat. Keep up the videos guys. 😀🙂
