They never actually ate Scar. The Nymean Lion had impenetrable skin (hence he took full own facial attacks from Simba, who was clearly younger and stronger than him. If Scar was stronger in strength, he wouldn't need the hyenas.) If the hyenas killed Scar then there would be no lion for Hercules to defeat as one of his 12 tasks so either he DID defeat Scar or Hercules would be lying. And lying is not in his Hercules character nor would that earn him points towards being the hero. Therefore, for continuity, Hercules had to defeat Scar.
Hercules: Phil, what’s the point?! Painter: YEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYY!!!! THAT’S IT! Phil: Keep your toga on, pal. (Gets hit with the painter’s paint and brushes) 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So many talking about Scar...From 0:45 to 1:03. To me, That's ''Disney magic''. That one part stayed with me, since childhood. Because more than herc's trainer, his schedule planner, his financial adviser; Phil, was his best friend. A true friend is worth more than gold or status, you don't get many of those in life.
I saw some folks asking why Scar is in the movie in this scene. It's not just an Easter egg left by the animators. Scar's pelt is actually from the lion Hercules defeated as one of his tasks (seen in the "Zero to Hero" scene). He just doesn't look quite the same during the song, probably because it was such a short moment. They put more focus on making it look like Scar in this scene because the audience gets to enjoy the visuals longer.
ReduxEditor335 lmao yep all IV done is mainly draw up to this point . not being able to nail a position on a price of paper to hit a wall because of skill problems is stressing . "THATS IT !!!" rage quiting-
There's something interesting about this movie: Hercules never gets conceited or arrogant about his fame, he just gets down on himself. Despite all the fame and fortune he's accumulated he never lets it go to his head, he just feel feels like he's wasting time on pointless celebrity crap. Sure, he doesn't understand the true meaning of a hero is more than just being famous and admired but he never gets a swelled head over his fame. It's an interesting idea.
The reason why Hercules was easily defeated by his fan girls was because they weren't the same as his previous opponents. He was trying to be a patient gentleman until Phil intervened.
Bonus clip Mufasa: what are we gonna do with him, Zazu: he would make a very good THROWRITE.. Mufasa: Zazu! Zazu: when he gets dirty you can go out and beat him! (Mufasa & zazu laugh) Me: Jesus..

I JUST MADE A CONNECTION! Andreas Deja, the guy who animated Scar on the Lion King, also animated the character Hercules as his first non villain! I just read that he did so in an interview, and now I’M thinking he did this himself so he could reference his roots animating Scar, purring his body on Hercules! I hope I’m right.
Whenever I'm down on myself and feel like giving up I play this clip and it makes me feel better. Hercules will always be one of my favorite Disney movies.
I remember watching this with my family once and saying “look, zazu was right, he DOES make a good throw rug!” My grandmother is always impressed in how I notice cameos and references in Disney movies and asks how I know. Sometimes because I research but most of the time because I pay attention.
It’s possible that sometime during or after Lion king, some Greeks were probably out in the Savannah, came upon Scar and transferred his remains to Greece to be made into a rug.
Scar is my fav Disney character and I LOVE him! This is just plain cruel. :( This scene freaked me out when I was a kid. I was like, "Oh my God that's Scar! Nooo! Why? Why is Disney doing this to me?!" D': *cries in the corner*
Me: *to myself, when I saw that Hercules got ambushed by fangirls* I'd better help Herc by usin' Escape Plan Beta. *I distracted the fangirls after playing a single note on a set of panpipes* There he goes on the veranda!
The part when the artist flips out and has a fit is hilarious.

I really do love the father and son relationship Phil has with Hercules. It really hits home with me!

What this painter roared? I don't understand that roar.
Artist: AIIIE!!! THAT'S IT! I QUIT!

I feel this on a spiritual level

Couldn’t agree more! I think this is the type of friendships and father/son bonds that are sorely lacking in Disney today!
"There is nothing you can't handle."

Hercules and phil does need anger management
What's creepy is that when Hercules takes it off, the eyes are closed. The eyes open on him when it hits the floor!
