I'm a master cabinetmaker. I work in high end applications (aviation, yachts, residential)...and the wood work on this boat is amazing. Kudo's to the craftsmen who built this piece of art.
What kind of wood used to build this amazing yacht??
Same here. Fine furniture maker. It's like one big piece of fine furniture
I do chainsaw carvings as a side gig. I don't own a boat.
But damn this is gorgeous
I love traditionally flavoured boats that are built with modern technology
I live in ipswich and recently saw the 111 being finished pre delivery .
Soon as i saw it across the quay i said to the wife .
Nicest yacht since the J classes.
Thats just how beautiful Spirit Yachts are built.
In the same league as Rolls Royce and Holland and Holland .
The detailing is top line with screw heads lined up fore and after just as in the finest sporting guns.
Modern style and classic style are both great, but what I really like is the warmth and look of the traditional wood. If you're going to be out on the water for a while I just think it has a calming effect on the mind. And when done properly would detail right down to the last inch it is a work of art that you are inside of. So much craftsmanship it's just all inspiring! 👍🏻
A wooden yacht with such lines as this is such a classic design that deserves three things; to be sailed regularly, an owner who will treat her with respect and fair winds. A ship builders proof.
Drop dead gorgeous! Art that you can live in. Wow.
Drop dead beautiful yacht with incredible joinery. Traditional yachts are far more appealing than modern production boats.
This yacht is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. She's amazing!
The detailing of the design is far past competent. People will be raving about this boat generations from now. So gratifying to see the dedication and love.
I've watched several videos of Spirit Yachts, and this boat is my favorite so far. The traditional interior is much more appealing to me personally. Elegant beauty and practicality.
Traditional styling boats are beautiful and this boat is stunning!
A work of art of the finest order.
A masterpiece indeed.
The pride and workmanship rarely seen in the modern world.
Always amazing to see mans ingenuity in design when you consider all the various options that exist in a yacht. Great video.
She has been well maintained and the workmanship is amazing nice boat.💚👍
I love this yacht , stunning woodwork, finishes and design I would have liked to see more of the engine room.
I love traditional outline with modern interior/equipment inside. Appreciate the craftsmanship of the boat, just love it!💜
I'm firmly in the trad camp and this beautiful boat is a good demonstration of why.
Good to see a new built boat with an offshore sailing layout. The old time sailors where the real deal and knew how a boat should be appointed.
A work of art! Fair winds to the deserving owner!
She truly is a beauty!
It’s very appealing. Beautiful in fact. A rare find indeed.
I was invited to stay on a wooden sailboat some years ago and it was the most comfortable boat I had ever been on. I owned a fiberglass sail but the difference was amazing. It was in Florida keys and winter where it gets cool at night and warm after sunrise. That boat was comfortable all the time... wow... loved it.
I had the luck to be allowed to sail several times on an early 46 (with the curved carbon mast). Lovely. Very fast, easy to handle and simply beautiful. Comments in port were always funny since the people thought it was an old boat and they often asked why we had these modern winches etc. on a classic.
Absolutely beautiful yacht!
Absolutely stunning!
It does not matter .........she is simply beautiful!!!
Beautiful ❤
I can't help admire the brightwork as well. I put myself through college by varnishing boats.
1:47 looks like they sprung for the integrated toe stubber option!
very nice !, fit & finish are definately a result of talented, & concise woodworking. attention to detail, & a traditional design , with modern embellishments, make this ship a standout amongst all others.
A beautiful yacht .I love the lines .My favorite over all other inside and out .⛵
I specialize in classic yacht restoration for international boat shows...this is wonderful....splendid job..
I'm a fan of center cockpits and this one is a wooden beauty.
Absolutely fabulous creation what a beautiful lady
Beautiful yacht, unique style..
I love the look and layout. I would like a few more technical details: rig, sail options, engine, keel depth, beam.
Saw this lovely yacht at the boat show. Smaller inside than you'd imagine when looking at her from the outside. Great if you've got someone to look after the paint work, but if you can afford her that's probably not an issue. I'd love to see how she sails!
Hello from Uruguay. Fabulous wood work indeed & great yacht altogether
Utterly gorgeous!!
Like the reporter, smooth, knowledgable, factual, present. Much preferred to the usual style. Tx
The boat is fantastic.
... REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IT'S A BEAUTIFUL YACHT/BOAT, I LOVE IT, BEAUTIFUL, HAVE A GREAT DAY...
A fabulous yacht... We also had a guided tour of the new Spirit 111 recently. Wow. Just wow.
A boat like that should not be in salt water, it should be in a museum.
Gorgeous boat.
I know absolutely zilch about boats of any kind, but this goes to number 3 on my shopping list of British class and elegant toys.
Lottery win will solve it!
So the Pair of Purdeys, or Holland's, the Phantom 2 Vintage Sedanca de Ville and this will keep me very happy.
Not greedy, just nostalgic.
With all that wood, the thing will never leave the slip
That boat is exquisite!
I’m a Traditional Wood Boat Sailor. Though, I’d love to see this one underway!
Stunning
Very beautiful sailing boat ❣
Nice on the eye.
I like this one. Very much!!
That looks perfect ! I'm getting a second job then...
Beautiful yacht, love the woodwork! Might be a lot of labor to take care of actually using it for cruising over time? Never the less, I would dearly love to own one...
Absolutely beautiful woodwork everywhere! My only thought was the lack of windows. Not a big deal, just a thought.
What a beautiful vessel!
Superb!
wow, beautiful. Love the looks and the wood. thank you for sharing.
that was a fine boat ,fine for sure .
Thus us a beautiful boat the woodwork is completely awesome
STUNNING!
That is one pretty boat.
Stunning 👍
Stunning!
Beautiful construction & workmanship - the design leaves a lot to be desired by today's 50' standards.
A work of art the water doesn't really deserve.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. The maintenance however, must be a real bear.
Had a good look around this one last week. Really very pretty.
the nicest sailboat around.
Is incredible! Amazing! 💗
Beautiful boat
Traditional, any day! Lovely sailboat. The J's are my favorite. Give me class over speed any day. But you get what you pay for. I'd be happy with an Alberg 30. :^)
Very good video
It might turn upside down but it won't sink. Its wood folks! I'm gonna get me one. I especially like the small wardrobe with port hole ventilation above it.
lovely.
Most definitely prefer traditional yachts With a lots of woodwork.
She’s perfect
its a wonderful yacht!!
Well I think that this boat should have me as the owner haha I do love this boat I would make one big locker behind the navi station. Have a folding seat on the door of the new walk in locker . I like old yachts and some new one's aswell. My favourite yacht has got to be the J boats. I all so think England has the best yacht's but Shannon boat's are pretty cool as well . Who am I kidding I love all yacht's, boat's anything that is involved with water lol
👍 thank you
Beautiful balance of fine cabinetry and sleek design, i will have one please, when I win Lotto
I love it
Magnificant!
Ermagerd that boat is delicious!
Wow!
Beautiful boat. I would have liked more information on hull design and construction and also how she sails.
Noted. When we test sail this yacht will delve further.
Great, just great
She is the beauty
Absolutely gorgeous. Exterior exudes timeless beauty and pure class. Hull design is reminiscent of the J-class. The design below deck however, is not what I’d expect from a 50 footer-most notably the aft births and two wet heads. True aft cabins, an en suite dry head, and at least one dry day head are all fairly standard things on modern boats of this size. Personally this would be a dealbreaker for me, but I understand not everyone feels that way.
For a boat of this size I would favor a interior lay-out more like a Hykas 46. The wood work inside & out is second to none!
@ted ted Of course you do, the Hylas 46 is a Frers design after all. 😉 I lust after the Nautor’s Swan myself!
that's really nice yacht - the best are made for private users - question - how it sails with a few crew members, how all thinks works ( engine, sails, elektricity, other instalations )
She is really nice. If a win lotto I'll have one.
Absolutely gorgeous bost! It almost looks too good to take out sailing.
Amazing and Beautiful. Bring her “Down Under”!
The Stainless ventilation allows for excellent cooling and fresh air across the cabin.
Traditional Nautical design especially in the interior with modern equipment.
The cockpit is so huge seems to be good for day cruises with party guests. I’d expect a 2nd full sized and private guest berth. But this is the perfect boat for someone I’m sure.
The design, ie the short waterline due to the overhangs doesn't allow this. What you see is limited by the constraints of the hull
They must do something with thoes beds, othwise a beautiful looking boat .
It is a bit like rich people moving back into student accommodation :D
Love the outside. Wish the inside was more modernized. A brighter colored wood.
Classic boats are like camping vs staying in a hotel. Not ideal if lounging and being fully catered for is what you need, but sensory experience is unrivalled. Sailing them, you are not taking your country home to another location by moving it over water, you are actually going on an adventure, and that is a rare commodity these days.
