ABOUT ME
I am 25 years old. I was born in Poland and grew up in the UK. I am married to a wonderful man called Maciej with whom I vlog on a seperate channel (everdaters). I also lived in places such as Paris and Alesund in Norway throughout my life.
Why fragrances? I have always been very sensitive to smells. For example I remember being 6 years old and going on a fishing trip with my family. After catching fish I could smell fish oil on my hands for days but no one believed me. Wherever I lived I always spent hours in my local fragrance shop and get to know many amazing fragrances. Now I am sharing my passion for fragrances on RUclips. I hope I can bring you value by introducing you to new fragrances and hopefully someday interviewing perfumers and giving you an insight into the perfume industry. My dream perfumer to interview is Frederic Malle, just saying :)

Refreshing to see an honest review. I can’t take Demi seriously at all.
Perfumes are purely subjective and option based, you should take everyone’s review with a grain of salt.
I’m sure I’m not the first one to notice this but Monika you seem to have the perfect type of soothing breathy enunciation for ASMR content lol. I’m personally not even into that sort of thing, but your voice is pretty much ideal for it. I’d start a second channel.😂 Has anyone else ever pointed this out?

My favs so far in this order: Oud Jaune (stunningly gorgeous!!), Oud Orange (sexy and delicious!!) Santal Complet (sensual and addictive!!) Oud Bleu (unique for a freshie) Oud Rose (not you average rose scent). I’ve sampled most of them and still have a few more to try. Definitely one of the BEST niche brands that I have ever discovered.

I finally tried few out and loved Oud Orange Intense!! Once I got home I couldnt stop sniffing my arm, it is heavenly!!

Oh my goodness, tears of joy. I can’t wait to get my hands on the sample sets based on your recommendations. After watching Aussie girl Demi Rawling rave on this House of Pefumes as easily one of her favorites, I knew that had to get my hands on some of their fragrances.

Wow I want to try Parisian Oud! Curious to try their Sahara Oud also! And btw I ordered and tried a sample of NY 5th Ave and I gotta say- Wow! I think I need a bottle but I ordered a decant so I can smell it more. The drydown is a gorgeous, transformative sweet rose!
Awesome fragrance review!💛I really like Oud aswell.I was drawn to Clara by Penhaligon's because of its resemblance to Oud.I like to wear it when the weather is super chilly outside.I get the spicy notes when the cold air mingles with the fragrance. It is beautiful. ❄

I want your honest opinion on if duas version of this"aoud intense sunlight "actually smells like this the original. Im in love it but it's so expensive to keep up with so if duas version is any good I'd like to try it but don't want to waste my $ if it's a joke like some of the cheap Fragrances are that try to copy expensive Fragrances. Anyway let me know your opinion and other people's thoughts if they have tried both.Thanks!

I went to the Jovoy store in Paris where they treated me like a king, gave us free coffee and free samples since we told them we’re from abroad.. (and ofcourse after that expierence we came back the day after and bought a Xerjoff full retail price 😂) so i’m interested to see if it will be different in London
Wow! I got no free coffee although I saw it there haha 😂 They guy there literally refused to speak to us and sat there cleaning his nails haha. I have heard good things about Jovoy though so I hope it was a one off 😊

I even complimented them for it, they offered my friend and I something to drink, gave free fragrance du bois samples 🥰 a couple other samples as well, it was a great experience and i hope you will be treated the same when you go there again 😁 the fragrance du bois samples are all thanks to your video, otherwise i wouldn’t even consider. Im curious about oud jaune- and oud orange intense. I already own santal complet and received some good compliments from my sister. Which never happens since she's very sensitive to alcohol, but I think she likes the coconut in there. Im going to lisbon for vacation and am going to sample the whole line. 😍
I can't say that Demi is not trustworthy since scent is always subjective.
Bought some fragrance du bois it’s lovely but just doesn’t last I’ve changed to Oud oils which is amazing
Thanks for the review Monika. Sadly I have the orange and rose and both are colored very differently than yours. Clearly reformulated and from multiple sources not for the better....i bought smaller bottles 15 ml but still I bought because I wanted a unique and quality fragrance. My bottles have Parfum on front...yours have eau de Parfum the one that trusted owners say are devine.
I can't decide between Oud Rouge, Oud vert and Oud bleu. Which one out these three do you like most?

Parisian Oud ended up being absolutely my favorite from the brand, but I can't afford it right now! I did like a lot of their offerings, but Parisian Oud was definitely a standout.

Hard to listen to that forced accent
Since you, much like myself, clearly have a degree in dialectology, you should know that one who is polish but also lived a number of years in France and the UK (I’m referring to Monika), much like when an American lives in different regions of the US, you subconsciously pick up small aspects of the area’s dialect.
If you recall, one of the first things we fellow dialectologists learned in school was:
“When we move to a new area or are around different regional dialects, we tend to mimic the sounds that we hear around us. This helps us to fit in. It's called bidialectalism and it's mostly subconscious.”
But if you don’t like her “forced” bidialectalism, don’t watch her videos, it’s that simple.
