Thank you Nat Geo for giving those who are not in the path of totality such amazing footage and in turn an amazing experience. I cried. Love from the 246.
Just watched the live feed all the way from melbourne Australia... i cried too. It is the most beautiful thing i have seen. It is always disappointing us down under miss out on these amazing events. But thank u Nat Geo for having this available for us 😊
you are absolutely right. the liberal agenda is to make us believe earth is flat. there is no sun or moon. just a giant light bulb they put up in the sky with a on and off switch. gd liberals
I'm sorry but Cara was a distraction from this video. This was more about her experience than it was about the eclipse itself. She ignored Terry's suggestion for a countdown (which would have made the experience cooler) and then couldn't get over her own excitement with the eclipse. The video was outstanding (for someone who hasn't seen much of anything on the subject) but she did little to explain some of the more interesting aspects of the eclipse (I had to research the web to confirm that I was indeed seeing solar flares or solar prominences).
Patrick Woodstock Watts is with the National Geographic Channel! Can't wait for the solar eclipse, I'm in the west coast! You guys are apart of my COSMIC DOCS!; WOODSTOCK'S COSMIC DOCS! LOVE U GUYS!
Hey Ya'll. Alvin TX here it was fun watching through the glasses i think we were the only office standing out in the parking lot though. The mail man was super happy we let him borrow a pair
I'm just going to keep watching this, over and over, and imagine what it would've been like where I live, where we were covered by thunderstorms when totality arrived. This is amazing video!
When the eclipse first was complete the only light was from the shimmering corona that produced a wavering effect on the driveway pavement. The effect lasted for less than 1 minute but it was absolutely beautiful!
I recorded some tv programs of the solar eclipse while I was in Idaho. I am SO GLAD I did, s on ow I rrewatch & rewatch the actual eclipse as it happened live! STILL SOOOOO EXCITING!!
Skip to around 51min to see this amazing event. It was brilliant! Wish I could have experienced the Total Eclipse. I just wasn't anywhere near the path of Totality.
I hope some people realized that not all states went dark only certain states... I live in Florida and the temperature changed and it went half way dark. It was the weirdest yet cool thing I've ever experienced. I have photos has well. For me at least I felt like i was in a dream.
It got dark in Illinois, I was right outside the path of the solar eclipse. It was so strange cause it was like it was turning night all the street lights were turning on, all of the night time animals were out.
That's awesome to get the animals reacting to it. Very close to totality it gets real eerie. But if you can, I suggest trying to catch the next one (in 2024) inside of totality, and check out the difference it makes there. I think you'll be amazed. :)
I am posting mine... I was able to see it in NC... but nothing like this... we didn't see the totality. But still was able to see it. Quality nothing compared to this either...but... sharing it with you guys!!!😎✌🏽🌚🌝
While we were all looking up, I took a few seconds and looked down.... there were around twenty tiny ants, going around in circles to each other, flies landed and even when batted away would not take flight, and Small flying insects where all landing. Also saw no birds in flight or song. My mini schnauzer, was losing it.
I was just north of the path of totality and it didn't go completely dark but it did get noticeably dimmer and colder. I couldn't see it through my makeshift box but I did use a welding mask and that was when I could see it.
In NOVA only about 1/4; it got dim for a minute or two; like the difference between a 100 watt bulb and a 40 watt bulb...the one during the late 70's was much darker....
Kio The Budgie Bird In (mostly) seriousness, you can make use of your special glasses between eclipses. Kids can keep track of sun spot activity over months and years as a neat long term science project. You can also combine them with carefully sculpted tinfoil to make a poor man's arch welding mask.
Cara must have been a few miles South of centerline? Diamond rings would be on opposite sides of the Moon on the Centerline of Totality? Spectacular none the less!
That eclipse was next-in-row after the one from August 11, 1999 (the last total eclipse in 20th century), both from the same Saros series 145. Each eclipse in the same saros series is repeated after 18 years and 10/11 days period.
So I'm staring at a live RUclips broadcast of the eclipse through a pair of eclipse glasses. The monitor is so dark, I can't make out anything. This is a lot like the time I tried to watch a recording of a 3D movie with 3D glasses.
Second contact at a bit after 51mins. Corona not too bright here (what filter was used?) but the Baily's beads and bits of chromosphere were nice. Too bad no prominences.
Why can't I find footage that just shows it instead of this? I can tell this has some weird lens or filter but I don't want to watch a paper plate cover a lightbulb, I want to watch the sky darken as the sun is consumed. 😡😡😡
to all those saying it was underwhelming see a total eclipse again in totality zone then talk to me. Totality and being there in real life no cameras or anything is what it is about.
Yes, a lot of people see partials and then don't understand what the big fuss is about for the totality. If you're outside of totality, you miss the real show.
Watching it on a screen compared to actually being there feeling the weather change and seeing it turn from light to dark having to wear protection yes it's. Wish I was able to see it live. I understand your point.
Very strange. I have a big garden with trees and normally the birds chirp and busy at this time of the day. Yet today it is quiet and I can't see any birds flying even though we had a veryr partial eclipse here. I started to notice few birds again about 40 minutes after eclipse was over but it is still quiet comparitively
I'm from Australia. It's so great that I can still watch it.
Thank you Nat Geo for giving those who are not in the path of totality such amazing footage and in turn an amazing experience. I cried.
Love from the 246.

I can't believe there is actually people out there that believe the earth is flat.
BlueBoxStudios it is though
It is
I hope these people who are saying that are joking
earth is indeed flat despite what liberal brainwashing might lead you to believe
you are absolutely right. the liberal agenda is to make us believe earth is flat. there is no sun or moon. just a giant light bulb they put up in the sky with a on and off switch. gd liberals

The eclipse just passed my place, it was so facinating!
Just a postive person :D same. i didn't get full totality, but it was still cool.
Just a postive person :D it didn't even get dark in Maryland
Patrick Woodstock Watts is with the National Geographic Channel! Can't wait for the solar eclipse, I'm in the west coast! You guys are apart of my COSMIC DOCS!; WOODSTOCK'S COSMIC DOCS! LOVE U GUYS!
Anybody else notice how dope her necklace choice is? Nicely played

I still LOVE seeing this stuff! I was in rexbureg, Idaho for totality! To REWATCH the solar eclipse again over & over again..is STILL AMAZING!!!

I just wasn't anywhere near the path of Totality.
the eclipse looked better where I was. The light sticking out of the sun was amazing!
Proud to be like no 14,747!! Because science!!

It'sArrem'sDayToday it was kind of felt weird lol
Ikr..cooled down a bit in northern AZ
It did! I thought my lights are going out but then I remembered the solar eclipse today! DUH on me! lol It was really weird....
It'sArrem'sDayToday It was raining in Las Vegas and there was a ton of rain so we didn't see anything

I hope some people realized that not all states went dark only certain states... I live in Florida and the temperature changed and it went half way dark. It was the weirdest yet cool thing I've ever experienced. I have photos has well. For me at least I felt like i was in a dream.
Total darkness here in Missouri around 1:18. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. Birds and bugs went crazy lol
Lincoln, NE cloudy but still got to see it! Fab!
I had the best view in the country. FREAK YEAH!!!
Totality at Pacific City, Oregon. With a slight fog made it seem even more brilliant.
I'm northen Calif, no darkness, no glasses, no decent photos. But seriuosly, I'm glad it's over, it has had my biorythym messed up for a week.
She's gorgeous
I NEED TO GET READY
The Eclipse is amazing just passing of Alabama in the United States
It got dark in Illinois, I was right outside the path of the solar eclipse. It was so strange cause it was like it was turning night all the street lights were turning on, all of the night time animals were out.

It was complete darkness here in India when moon ate the sun. How beautiful
great coverage! interesting that this was exactly 2 weeks after a lunar eclipse here in Australia (both at 3am Tuesday local time)
I am posting mine... I was able to see it in NC... but nothing like this... we didn't see the totality. But still was able to see it. Quality nothing compared to this either...but... sharing it with you guys!!!😎✌🏽🌚🌝

I can't believe I missed this special event, especially the annular solar eclipse of June 2021...
i was expecting a giant cross to shine across the sky and then a giant super jesus to rise up from the ground
In NOVA only about 1/4; it got dim for a minute or two; like the difference between a 100 watt bulb and a 40 watt bulb...the one during the late 70's was much darker....
Aww great now im blind.
Kio The Budgie Bird 😖..same
My info
How did you read his post?
I had to share my eclipse glasses with a friend, now we're both blind in one eye each.
bag o' toe tags are you being serious?
Kio The Budgie Bird

Omg no way it's so cool😑
50:00 - that's when the exciting part starts 🌝
Im in Erie PA it cover the bottom of the sun for a min but you couldn't even tell unless you had welder glasses
NOTHING I CAN DO, TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEEEEAAART!!!
51:00 And that, my friends, is what we call an eclipsegasm.
It was like a green flash of Bailey Beads for 10 seconds.

I have an old book on eclipses and it talks about the lunar and solar eclipses...now, if only i could find it.😅
50:40 for the show!
Dang Clara Santa Maria is pretty fiiine
It was awesome, if you put your thumb and index finger in a circle and look at the shadow, you can see an eclipsed shadow
Eclipse starts @ 50:45
Second contact at a bit after 51mins. Corona not too bright here (what filter was used?) but the Baily's beads and bits of chromosphere were nice. Too bad no prominences.
Post the time stamps for each time it shows the moon over the sun
The eclipse was crazy
Beutiful
I'd just like to thank Donald Trump for organising this great solar eclipse event, with the next one could he please organise it on a Sunday.
Nathional :) good
The first eclipse is like it where I live
Why can't I find footage that just shows it instead of this? I can tell this has some weird lens or filter but I don't want to watch a paper plate cover a lightbulb, I want to watch the sky darken as the sun is consumed. 😡😡😡
Cause it's not real
GOD IS SO PERFECT!
This won't be popular but if you were looking for Jesus to give you a sign... you missed it
TwennyGee lmao
Shut up
I live in the top location to be, darkness fell and the night critters cane out. I then gained a super power to fly while farting.
it was totally dark in europe
Laurent Leuze where
Beautiful woman
I cried, too.
Didn't see anything in Charlotte NC but what appeared to be sunset golden hour
A little creepy when dude whispered, "You can zoom in."

My eyes hurt! This sucks in LA!
Who else thought that it was underwhelming??
Miles Boykins I'm completely underwhelmed by the totality of it all!!!!
Robert Bell I know lol
It can be, Unless you have totality, then its amazing
Miles Boykins I wasn't underwhelmed. I was just.........whelmed.
Watching it on a screen compared to actually being there feeling the weather change and seeing it turn from light to dark having to wear protection yes it's. Wish I was able to see it live. I understand your point.
Me "ah aww so pretty, goes back inside"
guys , how can I ask my questions from this stream ?
Theres a Solar Eclipse? Never would have known.
Can Houston Texas see it ?
They can
Grab the special glasses or a welding helmet and look at the sun
I can't believe it!!
It's 9:43 pm and it's finally dark here
Nevermind...
Es muy tentador este acontesimiento, me gustaría poder verlo!! Pero debemos ser prudentes y tener muchas precausiones. Yo lo veré en pantalla. Aquí!
Question from 2nd grader Owen - Evergreen Park, IL - Why won't it happen again for 20 years?
rip im in North Carolina....
Dude, that's in the direct path of it
Heffman55 Tomlinson no... South Carolina is
+Game boyOI You should've been able to see at least some of it,some part of it was visible all across America
Heffman55 Tomlinson well not for us... all we got 2min of barely any darkness. like a cloud kinda
I saw totality with my own eyes and I was like “this is fake looking”
yeahhhh! amazing !!! great! Our God is great! 🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the only thing I got to see was the little bit of darkness here in Clover SC USA then it got Bright again
No video can capture the actual sparkle of it.
I watched it without glasses
Better see a eye doctor
