We are Really Busy Down Here in Broward County but we could use a Little Rain 🌧. I Know it’s Rough when it Rains and it’s Challenging to Mow Wet Grass & Sometimes, You can’t Mow, Because it’s Rained too Much but we need it. Thanks for Sharing Mike, Take Care and Be Safe Out There 😎🇺🇸

      @Something2LookAt  3 года назад +2

      The owner of the house called them sunflower trees, obviously different from the regular sunflower. But I can't find them on the internet so I think they may have the name wrong. They are a rapidly growing tree that will take over the entire back yard if you don't stop them.

    • @karenheartoriginal3783
      @karenheartoriginal3783 3 года назад +1

      At first I thought they were fig trees and was shocked...we’re grieving the loss of ours to a freak snow storm (it never snows here!) but we’re very thankful I’d taken two babies from it that were safe in the greenhouse during the week of ice. Been prepping the soil to plant them soon so have had figs on the mind. Good you got those whatever-they-ares so they don’t overrun their yard!! 👍👍👍

    Does your velocity deck ever get clogged up after mowing those thick nasty weeds. I have to scrape out my ferris icd deck too often. Sick of it. Was wondering if im the only one dealing with this tiresome issue. I realize it happens less often with sharper blades. But down here in south Ga half of my customers dont believe in weed n feed and big dandelion cabbage looking weeds grow like crazy and they have this mucus snot crap in them. Sticks to the deck. Ugh

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  3 года назад

      I only have to scrape the deck in the latter stages of the rainy season. Same thing, it's not the grass that clogs it, it's the weeds. I'm astonished sometimes how much wet mess comes off the deck when I scrape it.

  • @404nitro
    @404nitro 3 года назад +1

    Judging by how many clippings were coming out from such tall grass wit the Cheetah, I assume that you were using the Kavli blades? Was that from this year? We are still about a month from needing mowing on a serious level unless this warm weather streak stays around, then maybe two weeks or so.

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  3 года назад +2

      I don't think so actually. This is older footage and I can't remember what blades were on when. The Cheetah is sure doing some good mowing though in this video. :) So, refresh my memory. Ridin Green so I'm assuming John Deere, but I can't remember what model you're using?

      @@404nitro That's right, I remember now. And there was something about the deck you have...

    • @404nitro
      @404nitro 3 года назад +1

      @@Something2LookAt I had a MOD deck, and they suck on northern turd, and I mean bad. I replaced it with a regular 7 Iron Pro deck shell and am very happy I did it. I have run JD for years and love the 7 Iron, but thought I'd try the MOD. Never again. Though maybe you are referring to the fact that I sometimes run Scag blades under it? It is a 60" instead of 61", but they run the same length blades and they work with the help of a spacer to lower them down some on the spindle. They are the only size Scag deck blades that you can run under a JD.

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  3 года назад +1

      @@404nitro That's right, the 7 Iron. I had forgotten that name. I hear good things about that deck. Cool that you can run Scag blades. Yea lots of people don't realize that you can run many different blades under these machines. It's fun to experiment.
