    Good catch. Coincidentally Don has just posted a video on correcting a similar issue but there are many such out there. Maybe a project for the long cold summer days? 🤣

    Tim: Congrats on finding that issue. Funny but just yesterday a channel called "RestoreOldRadios" (recommended) posted a video on correcting a rubbing coil on an otherwise pristine speaker. Looks like a lot of very careful work to re-center the cone.
    Since you're unlikely to use that original speaker as it is - it might well be worth the time spent to investigate a repair?
