Had great pleasure in working on the 757 for 36 of my 42 years as an aircraft engineer. Sturdy, robust and versatile airframe and the RB211-535E4 is a magnificent engine. How long they remain in passenger service is questionable, as are now becoming more costly to operate and maintain in a highly competitive market. But no doubt at all the 757 will continue to grace the skies flying freight for many years to come.
Sad to see these amazing birds go, Jet2 757’s are real classics!
Love it how a few airlines are struggling to part with their 757s and great to see videos still being made of this wonderful type
Enjoy every moment with these classical planes as in the future we can only get either 320neo or 737max😢
@@airplaneboi747 yup. It's so sad. It was a brilliant design with world class leading performance and engines. I don't think we will get anything as good until a genuine replacement is brought to market
Is this my imagination or do I spot a crack in the Engine Nacelle that's been repaired and shows when the light hits it just right!
Could you specify the time when you see it, I'll also have a look😮
@@airplaneboi747 Okay! Let me take a look!
@@airplaneboi747 I see it at the very 1st 24 seconds in. Only noticeable when the angle of sunlight hits it just right. Runs kind of diagonally to the Pylon. Appears to have been painted over So is somewhat sub Cutaneous in appearance
I saw some gaps between parts but not sure if it's the crack you said😂
@@airplaneboi747 Probably is. Could they have replaced part of the Cowling during an Heavy Check/MX Overhaul?
