The transformation is lovely. How you share your thought process, the setbacks and successes is the magic here. Your authenticity. If I could make one suggestion-it’s for you to slow down, give yourself grace. This room is more than a three part transformation. Walk us through your choices for the stair wall treatment in one episode. The fireplace treatment, your decisions, techniques and why in another. The front door and window treatment in another. You have a rapped audience. We aren’t looking for speed-we’re looking to be included, which you do so generously. Give yourself grace. We aren’t going anywhere.

@@XOMaCenna I hope I’m not too late for you to see this, but there are flexible molding products. You might check them out in case you want to add more, or use in future projects! It might give you ideas that aren’t limited by rigid materials! Or maybe use in your stair designs... you never know!
Another thought I had about midway, before you started on the design you did, but I was thinking layering precut arch “moldings” out of the 1/8” sheet and possibly routing the edges, or somehow mimicking a curved casing at the top, with layered and routed pieces...

MaCenna, in outside privacy fencing, when a board has that angle cut on both sides of the top, it's commonly called a "dog ear."
I don't know why your arches mimic that shape or why the angles seem so random - but your solution to that issue is gonna be epic! Can't wait to see them all completed. The improvement will be amazing!

You can make short cuts in the side that you’re bending to. This makes space to bend and it lesson the pressure on the top. Just slight cuts, kinda like if you’re sewing and do curves, you have to take out some of the material so it lays right.

    Definition of TRANSFORMATION!
I love how you showed every single step, from your vision, to every single material, how to manipulate the material, adding details for elevation, and then budget breakdown, and let’s not mention the vision of the entirety of the home. Not only did you elevate the entry arch, but you made sure that there were unity in the home’s structure. You are such an inspiration to women who have a passion for art and life/home style but may not know exactly where to start. ❤

Hey MaCenna, if your house was built around the 20's to 30's, the very straight lines in the arches would indicate an art deco style. You see this straight line arch style a lot with mirrors of the time, less so with door archways. I would assume the arches are original to the house.

I love your style! But I think those chairs are far too big for the space. They make the room look really unbalanced. I think they'd work better in the family room as it is a much larger space.
