    Hi, Ryan - thanks a lot for all your self-less work! I have Q for you - something quite weird happened just now when I meditated along your "20 Minute Meditation Session", but you can't write any comments there - so I thought here was the next best thing!?
    Please just write some short answer, if you are able and have the time - because this not only caught me completely off-guard, but also knocked me a bit "out of balance"!
    [[[[PS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE TIME WITH SUCH A LONG TEXT - START AT THE '[*]' BELOW !!! ]]]]
    Background: I've been meditating for maybe 3 years or so (with an at least decent consistency...my chronic depression makes it very hard indeed to muster up enough "mental energy" to do anything....sadly! And I have also been meditating for probably 4-5 more years, but with highly irregular consistency: everything from "home-retreating" for a couple of weeks at a time, twice or once daily to not meditate at all for months).
    Anyway, to my Q: Nothing really "spectacular" have ever really happened to me while meditating before (such as "angel-choirs", strong bliss, weird sensations etc.) ....I don't know how usual they actually are, of course - but not everyone get such ("meditation"-)experiences" if I'm not mistaken?
    Anyway, that's at least what I've read....so, after having accepted that I am probably just not one of those who gets such experiences, I haven´t been thinking much about it, especially not since I found other areas in my life which have changed for the better. (such as, for ex.: I've been diagnosed with ADD and Asperger and have always, for as long as I can remember suffered from quite debilitating anxiety as well as a really hot temper...things that have gotten so much better that I don't consider myself suffering from anxiety any longer - and when I tell people how hot-headed I've always used to be, I don't think everyone believes me...anyhow - that wasn't for boasting, but [at least in my mind] vital info.)

  • @leonardderosa8440
    @leonardderosa8440 9 лет назад +1

    Hi Ryan I appreciate your teachings. There is a dearth of good solid common sense teachings on Kriya. Do you have a website or e mail address?

    Ryan I had a question to ask you and hope it’s ok to ask here . My apologies if I sound naive , I wish to learn and understand .
    I have been wondering why the technique is different from the Haung Sau taught at Ananda since the guru who taught is the same . You use the mantra soham and mention the crown chakra while they only focus on the third eye . The lifting energies through the spine is also different . Awaiting your response .
    Thank you 🙏

  • @Nibe_D

    Hi! What is the difference between Nadhi Suddhi Pranayama and Anulom Bilom Prayanayam. Both are alternate nostril breathing. Inhale: Left nostril, Exhale: Right nostril and again inhale through the right nostril and exhale through left and continue the process. Both adopt the same process. But i am confuse.

    In the morning, I do 1) Alternate Nostril Breathing 2) Sohum mantra 3) Sushumna Breathing each for 10 min in that order. Along with that I was thinking of doing Kapalbhati before alternate nostril breathing for 5-10 min. I think this will serve 2 purposes 1) Bring me into wakeful state by inducing some Rajas 2) Help with my skin disorders. Do you think it would negate Kriya Yoga practice benefits?

    • @KriyaYogaOnline
      @KriyaYogaOnline  9 лет назад

      +Amit P The order looks good. Be sure to rest 5 minutes in between each technique to sit quitely and observe. It is a good beginning practice. See my videos on preliminary kriya practices. You have described most of them.

      +Ryan Kurczak
      I have 2 further questions
      1) Is there a reason for 12 or multiples of 12 repetitions? I feel distracted by counting and I simply keep a 10 min timer on phone for each practice.
      2) Some days, I just don't feel that I have achieved the level of consciousness, clarity, awareness after the session. Some days, I just feel elated and that I am "in the zone". Is that normal or should I change something the way I practice?

    • @KriyaYogaOnline
      @KriyaYogaOnline  9 лет назад +1

      +Amit P 1) 12 is easy to use the sections of your fingers to count. Use a timer instead if you want. 2) Does God not exist in the normal every day? Its an opportunity to learn to recognize that.

    Hi Ryan, when I do kryia pranayama I hold my breath for short and then I feel better the warmth coming down the spine. In the end I hold my breath for longer while focusing on crown. Then I don't think so much and something just kind of raise and then my heart also pumps much more. Is this okey? Should I hold my breath in the end? Thx
    Best reg

    Hi Ryan. I've been doing 20 and 45 minute kriya meditation daily for a little while. I have a question. When feeling the cool electrical currant go up my spine, I'm not exactly sure how to get it to the crown of my head. Go through 3rd eye, or angle through brain to top of head? Or does it matter how I get there? Thanks.

      +shivani tyagi No it is not. You must engage the full path for which the Pranayama is only one 8th. See my book Kriya Yoga Continuing the Lineage of Enlightenment. Stay tuned for future videos on this topic (have patience though, a lot of projects going on.) Or watch for my next book coming out this Sunday, which speaks directly to this.

      I really admire your work Ryan and im going to buy your books. Now a real important question.......i know that Pranayama is only one of the 8 limbs of yoga. Do uou teach all the Patanjali Raja Yoga? or only Kriya? and i dont undestand a thing,Yogananda said that Kriya yoga is a path to Samadhi and you "only" need to practice Kriya ..........for your entire life or maybe for a lot of reincarnations,but only Kriya. am i wrong? I BEG YOU TO ANSWER ME or please give me your email address if you could be so kind. thank you. sorry for my english...im italian.
