Is it way that humans are meant to be or is it just something else that most of see misery and pain and suffering but yet we learn at times when it "touchs" us when it "hurts" us, that at this moment a person isolates his experience and based on his knoweldge of the world and the life he has lived, the qualities he has chosen for himself, he acts with others. I mean why is that "watch and learn" doesn't apply for many and for many its just a negative thing??? Is compassion also a way of life and pain the only way to accept and learn a way of compassion.

And still for some the experience they have is all that matters, not in a meaningless way but lets say a mother who has suffered in her life, to her son his life matters more, why is it that this person can't feel the pain and suffering of his mother but only his and treat her with compassion and kindness when he treats his bestfriends
