    Those are nice looking manifolds... might be a bit close for insulation too but it looks great. Once wrapped the insulation might be close but probably won't be touching side to side... im guessing there'd be about a ½" gap if 1" thick insulation is used...

      Cost... press fittings are stupid expensive - I hate pressed fittings. Somewhere someday a class action lawsuit will happen when the wrong big building has the seals inside the fittings rot out from some small change in the water supply... 😂 let's see if it outlives pex. That's another future problem waiting to happen... remember quest fittings?

      my guess would be for the ability to drain down the individual apartment / unit in case of maintenance.

    • @JoeA1974
      @JoeA1974 6 месяцев назад +1

      It makes both servicing a section easy as well as facilitating the purging of air out of each zone.. if there's air in a line the pump sometimes will push everywhere else instead, leaving that section air locked and without flow...
      Those boiler drains are great for hooking a hose up to and blowing out all the bubbles 🫧

      No not pumping, this is municipal water thats where the pressure is coming from you can see the meter in the video. No, at 3:39 he makes a comment about pulling the tees in regards to some tools or a specific tool idk

    • @JoeA1974
      @JoeA1974 6 месяцев назад

      @@jakeb.4225 I'll be honest with ya' ... I only half watched the video . . 😆 other stuff was playing on a different screen...
      Sure looked like hydronics... especially with boiler drains on each of those lines on one side... I use a boiler drain on each return and valve both ends... and that's if there isn't already flowsets to put on the supplies and returns.

    • @JoeA1974
      @JoeA1974 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@jakeb.4225 there's a big tool for pulling a short nipple out of copper pipe where you can then braze a pipe into that socket... when we say PULLING TEES that's usually what we mean... maybe that was what you were asking about... 😏
