- Come with me shopping to our local Amish grocery store. This store is the real deal, not a "tourist Amish store", but filled with practical items for the local Amish community and public as well. It's like an Amish version of Walmart. It has bulk food items, medicines, kitchen gadgets, dishes, housewares, books and more. Then we check out a local Amish greenhouse to pick up some plants and flowers for my garden. Shop with me and watch this Amish grocery haul and garden haul!

Very nice store and so many interesting items. Here in SW ONTARIO Canada we have Menonite Stores school markets bake shops woodworking idea, signs at the end of driveway in country advertising summer sausages,vegetables etc. It aways a pleasure shopping in this area. The children are so cute. You can see the children walking to/from school,they always take the time to smile and wave.
Our green houses do a plant with me day. You buy a pot and dirt's free and every plant is .99 cent's each and they grow your hanging plants with your tags hanging each jumbo hanging cost me $12.00 I do four and I enjoy the big group we all show were we do coffee tea cookies tea sandwiches. We do it not the nursery but wow I look to it every year of joy.

Amish is the future. Their population doubles every 20 years. In comparison, the crazy liberals, the blue haired crazy people, they don't reproduce at all. That's the great thing to see. In 200 years, there will be 50% Amish people in America.
When I lived in Middlebury Indiana they had these type of Amish stores and you could drive up and down the roads and see signs for baked goods furniture livestock fruit vegetable stands just about anything
My butter turner is my kitchen aid. It's outstanding pulling out all the milk .

Wow I could recognize the Amish burn cream. I had heard wonderful things about it, and then used on my leg when I had 1 of the worst burns. My doctor told me it was going to scar for sure and honestly it didn't look like it was working. (I had 2 huge burn lines from a pot that flipped over and flew right into my leg. Totally bizarre once in a lifetime weird accident). But eventually it healed and you have to look really closely to see a small scar.

It’s really a pretty blue I did like them a lot it’s a great general store you can get basically everything will probably need there and get in and out in a timely manner. I think sometimes our stores are too big and there’s too much variety to find a tree to looking for

Where is this Amish store located? We have several here near Clare Michigan that have the same things. Never know what you'll find. Good stuff though. I always buy my spices there too so cheap!

In this day and age being near Amish and Mennonite is a excellent choice for they produce quality food sources. I live in NJ and am looking to move to Northeast Tennessee. Driven semi most of my life I can tell you the world has drastically changed, NY State is Beautiful and the people are of good character, unfortunately politics has poisoned our Country. Looks like returning to basics of our forefathers is a wise choice to enjoy a simple yet rewarding life. All the Best, God Bless

The large container of cheese I don’t know if we could use that much cheese me and my husband we need smaller quantities but I noticed right there on top there was a smaller bag that I could buy that instead that would probably be my go small bag of mozzarella .

Are you in Pennsylvania? Or Ohio? I live in Pa. Not far from the Amish I just love all of their foods and you can find thing's there that our regular grocery stores do not sell anymore. They have the best crafts.
Kauffman in Bird and Hand has a Amish store. Every three years we get out to PA (from ND) and we go to Kauffman’s and Goods Store (Bethel/Myerstown area). We found an Amish store 2 hrs/150 miles (one way) from us over in MN. Their bacon is super cheap, $.99/lb here.

You stole the pecans by extream. Do what is needed to nuts chop, cut then bake let cool and store in a jar raw nuts will go bad fast . Many store nuts in freezer but I don't have that room with my three freezers. But yes I need those cheap pecan nuts. I open a date pull out center place peanut butter in a piping bag and squeeze straight then pecan then peanut butter and close date next dip into chocolate light and freeze or chill next lightly drizzle zigzag Carmel and crush sea salt and lightly sprinkle . Ok you will be upset but there not really fat at all .

Just curious, for the refrigerated stuff at the Amish store, how does it stay fresh if they don’t use electricity?
I believe they just put cold packs or ice packs in the refridgerator at the bottom, to keep it cold (like you would with a cooler), but it doesnt feel very cold when you open it. Its fine for cheese probably, and they dont sell fresh meat out of it. Also the Amish actually have the old fashioned style ice houses for their personal homes to keep things cold. They actually saw enormous hunks of ice off of a nearby pond in the spring, and keep that in a cool place (like a little room) which keeps other items in that space cold.
The one I have been to in Northern MN they have the freezers outside and only sell cheese/meat/cooler items in cooler months, typically end of October through beginning of May.

@@jenniferr2057 it is between Mahnomen and White Earth off highway 200 a few miles. Called Miller’s Bulk Store and bakery. There is a white sign in ditch (hard to see).
