Should kept it tho probably had cool stuff for some games 😂
OMG dude, my parents bought this on Black Friday and we received it on Christmas. Overtime, this would be so frustrating until they released the PS2 mini. This 1st gen console was so buggy they didn't even think it through upon release.

*- Nostalgia -* Sometimes what hurts when I see these old nostaglic games being played, isn't just the fact that the games were popular 18 or so years ago (which is nostalgic on its own), but more about how young I was at the time, and how my life felt. My life was completely different, and so was everyone elses. The world was straight up younger. 35 year olds with families now, they were 16/17 years old back then, playing this game fresh while it was popular. Im sure kids who were 8-15 years old probably got their hands on the game too. There was different movies in theatres, no iphones, an 04 Honda civic was actually pretty good, Mcdonalds would've had all the play houses and their old style furniture, and Blockbuster was a thing, no netflix, pre youtube, just a simpler time. MTV and Much music, teletoon was around I think, and other popular ps2 games were out like Star Wars Battlefront or medal of honor Rising sun, CLASSICS. Xbox 360 promos were probably being advertised. And when I watch videos like these, looking at an old 2004 nostalgic video game being played on a 19 inch tv, I think about more then just the nostalgia of what the game was like or my memories playing it, but I also think about the how the time of life was overall, and I can feel all the nostalgia of life from the early 2000s just by looking at the game. Sometimes I love nostalgia, and its a feeling I can get lost in as I sit on the front porch watching the rain, but sometimes I dont like nostalgia because I'll look at a friggen IPOD touch and suddenly these shivers go down my spine thinking of the 2007 Call of duty Modern Warfare, superbad, and my younger life I once had, aswell as the younger lifes everyone else had at that time. When american pie was released in 1999, all the teenagers would've watched it, but... they were born from 1980-1990, I can just imagine the time of life and American Pie coming out in theatres, and my cousins who all have children would've been teenagers watching it, and trying to throw their own parties and get laid like the people in the movies. Point Im making there is, the weird thing about nostalgia, is sometimes you arent even feeling your own nostalgia, you're kind of feeling nostalgia for everything and everyone, because you are re living and re feeling an entire point in time thats embedded in your longterm memory, or you are imagining a point in time from before your existence, and you're feeling that point in time. Like, take 2007 for example, I was a young boy, but that year was the year that the people who were born in 1989 graduated highschool, and for some reason, I can feel nostalgia in that even though it aint my life, because when I look at older adults photo collections on Facebook, it always shows them having their highschool grad/dance from some very old blurry 2007 album, and I can sort of feel their lives. I swear you can extract nostalgia from pretty much anything that's based off of being in the past, even if its only been in the past for a few years, just thinking about the year 2016 gives me nostalgia, I graduated that year. Or 2018, when my friends all had a home together in college and there was some fun times we'll never have again, and its funny how 2018 was 4 years ago but nostalgia will make it feel like 8 years ago. I was at highschool 6 years ago, but when I visit the school nowadays, there's no cars, students, or teachers, and the school is completly vacant (obviously because im there afterhours), and even though I was just going there 6 years ago, I feel the feeling like Im a 60 year old man walking around the school listening to Pink floyd comfortably numb, reminiscing about highschool 42 years ago, as I peak through the front door into the dark hallways and my memory shows nostalgic flashbacks of that same dark hallway having so many students walking around. Aside from that, even if I see an old Blackberry phone or an Mp3 player, just makes me go like WOOOAH, because I remember my brother getting his first mp3 player and the whole family being blown away way way back in the day, those 2001-2004 memories of camping trips with the family, wont get those times back. The only unfortunate thing about nostalgia is you can't go back, so whatever nostalgia you feel over anything, thats the closest to reliving that memory you're ever gonna get until your life is flashing before your eyes. I hate nostalgia sometimes becomes I can feel it whenever I look at almost anything from the past whether its movies, games etc...But I *LOVE* Nostalgia.
@@trillfrank9893 I feel all that. There's many days where I'll just be reminiscing on old times from 11pm-3Am, thinking vividly about humanity and my own existence and life that I've had, and I'll top off a bottle of white wine in the process. Not a great habit which I luckily do alot less of now, but I always felt there was a reason for doing it, because the pain is definately hard to shake. I pray every so often, and I find I'm always asking the creator 'Why this?" and "Why that" , because the more *why's* that get answered, the more comfortable I feel
Glad to say that this game was my first experience with video games ever. I used to play PS2 before pre school everyday in 2006, this game was still all the hype at the time. Even though I wouldn’t actually learn how to play the game how you’re supposed to (actually doing missions) until a few years later, I still had fun playing around on it as a 3 year old kid ( I have 5 older brothers all born in the early to late 90’s, only I was born in the early 2000’s, they weren’t the best influences 😂) and will never forget those times even now 16 years later.
@@StrnageHasBeenAbandoned yeah, I had afternoon preschool classes (12pm-2:30pm), so when my second oldest brother (born in ‘94) would go to school in the morning, id go into his room and play his ps2 for a few hours. Speaking of GTA IV, I have 1 distinct memory of when that game first came out and watching him play it on our Xbox360, he had a “32inch RCA CRT TV” in his room, so it looked huge to me. I only played San Andreas a lot until he sold his ps2, then it was IV for years until V, but even then I went back to IV because I didn’t like V.
It felt like you were with adrenaline, and then if u raised your hand above your head, your hair would slightly come up, it's nostalgic indeed, but I don't miss those high levels of radioactivity
I remember when one time I was at my cousins house he still had his old PS2 from 2004 and he showed me this masterpiece. I still remember that the disc had one tiny scratch and we put it in and we were hoping the disc would still work. The TV Turned on but the PS2 was making a loud noise and wouldn’t turn on. When we were just about to give up and have lunch the PS2 turned on and the game still worked! Then after a few years he gave his PS2 to me and I still have it.
I remember the very first 2 days after that game came out. When our teachers asked why this or that guy didnt come to school today we just collectively responded with: "Oh, he got San Andreas.". Like it was the flu or something. What a time it was.
Sadly I was only 1 year old when it came out so I couldn't have the experience/nostalgia to this game. But I'm still happy that people in that time got to experience with GTA San Andreas, big respect for the veteran.
i didn't have consoles growing up at all, we had the classic family computer that we all used, my dad got the game for me and no guide, he was my guide because i was small and internet was quite new, i finished the game in about a month, i remember vividly being stuck in flying school for the longest time and also low fps low hz ah i miss those times man
I start playing GTA sa in 2023, but when I see this video I always miss old games such as PS2games although I was born in 2010. I have the same feeling as GTA sa players in 2004.
Back when you were a child, everyone was writing cheats on paper but you had them all in your mind and didn't even need paper. You were the genius between all your friends!

@@CJRealRichBoyLiving i know its 17 years later but I remember my first time too. I got it from mvc as it was then on London Bridge it was my payday and to enjoy the whole experience. I went greggs got a pizza slice a chocolate dougnut and a red bull then came back to my office. I only worked in a printing room in this building and had the room and pc to myself. Opening the box and looking at the map and the little booklet is all part of the joy i sat greasy fingered well fed and looked out over the drizzle covered london but my mood was good. Id been all over the forums for a while and had been reading the speculation over it all map size, 50 cent voicing a character and more .Then i got home but barely had any time to play properly as I had to go out in my clio driving around randomly with friends. After all the intro bits and the bike mission which i found unreasonaly hard for the second mission I went robbed a tractor and left it in a ditch. Was a good day. Explored more with more time on my hands but what a game.
A classic, this game along with vice city was my childhood. With madden in its prime, and other classics like resident evil 4 and NFL 2k5, good times for sure.
This was the first game i purposely stayed up all night to play. I use to have a gta sa channel on my tv. I didnt turn it off. I burned out 2 lasers on my systems.
i'd run back home to play before dinner... and swallow dinner in 3 bites lots of water to gobble it down and and run down back stairs do 4-5 more missions before bed time

The nostalgic vibes this video gives, it's just... something. Like, for the first couple of years after this video was filmed, people would be asking you, "You filmed yourself playing the PS2? Really?" But then it goes away, after that bit. It gets to be just a video that's stored in your collection. All of a sudden, when it gets around the decade mark, then the memory-lane factor starts to sink in. As the years go by, it gets exponentially greater. Makes me want to film the stuff I got going right now, and compare it to the glass TVs, holographic pocket smartphones with 3D-display calls, and computers with 3 Thz processors we're going to get in the future, lol
Man i remember when i played this when i was like 4 or 5, at the cousins house, they had a neighbor with a pc shop (basically an internet cafe) so i played it on the pc version, not the ps2, the only mission i finished was the first one, after that was just pure chaos, and u know i had that paper, now, 11 years old (my moms account) installed gta sa on my pc, when i just heard that tsssss, it instantly put a smile on my face, that golden line, ah sh*t here we go again, bringing back childhood classics is just pure happiness
Nowadays you have to spend 3 hours downloading the game onto your console even if you have a physical copy of the game. And then you have to spend hours updating the game every week.
Besides installing, which doesn't take long, you can still do that. Only game off the top of my head is the Spyro trilogy has you download the rest of the games.
My special hugs and thanks for the great soul who recorded that. Probably with no intention to make this historical. But I felt I was in the old times again ❤🙏🏾
I had the same problem. Sometimes my TV stopped working. I needed to smash it on the side of the screen😂. After every slam I was afraid my mom was going to wake up.
Lol, When I play GTA I usually start at 11am and ends 8am in the morning, and before my mom wakes up I make sure to cook breakfast for her and my brother to lessen her anger when she wakes up and sees me still playing lol
I've remember I played almost a year just fooling around, killing people, make explosions. Then one day I started doing the missions and couldnt stop until I finished the story.
can relate this... I was like 12 years old and thought the missions would be too difficult for me, then tried one and realised "oh thats quite nice"... I was so proud of me when I completed "wrong side of the tracks" after like 50 tries.
Same here, before I could figure out the missions I would just screw around shooting people, jacking cars, running people over, beating people up, starting road rage fights, and seeing how long I could run from the cops with all 5 stars lit up.
I was in my early twenties back then. I never thought that I would grow old! Now when I look back from my 40s...time flies by. I will replay this game i think.

I don't know what newer version you saw in 04. 03 was the original version. I heard Hilary Clinton had the original pulled off the shelf, so, 04 was another version. The original one has more gang territories you can get. That newer "The Trilogy" was the one I got in 2013. I hated it. It had less gang turf then the first one
I've only really started to feel like that with a phat I got recently. Most of the time I turn it on and sometimes it just goes to the menu instead. My slims never did that once that I can remember.
@Cauã Felipe Novaes Pelegrini Played PS2 loads and never had that, only found out it was a thing recently. Even my new phat PS2 that struggles to load never does that, only goes to the menu. Actually loads of people who have never used a PS2 will understand because of the internet.
Those mini tv's were absolutely common among gamers in my time. I didn't have more than one tv but a majority of the time there were free periods to play games in the lounge. But it was also timed so if you spent too long you will get kicked off for the day. That's where these mini tv's came in. It was a covert way of continuing your gaming without making too much noise or light escaping under the door. 2004 is such a time. Last year of highschool. I'm playing this, Snake Eater, FFX, DMC, RE4. I don't think there can be a time that topped this era.
Monday - Friday after school we would all meet up at that one friends house in the neighborhood that had this game to all share turns, Saturday we’re all outside playin football all day long & Sundays...we spent it all inside that one friends house to play more San Andreas, Monday... it would start all over again :)
I've owned a PS5 and an Xbox Series X at different times since they released. But none of them gave me anything like the same feels as the older gen consoles such as the PS1/PS2, Xbox 360 and Dreamcast did. And the Mega Drive and SNES before that. I don't know, we gamers just didn't worry about graphics or fps back then so much and games generally seemed a lot more fun and original. Now we just get a lot of lazy remasters and remakes.

Like, for the first couple of years after this video was filmed, people would be asking you, "You filmed yourself playing the PS2? Really?"
But then it goes away, after that bit. It gets to be just a video that's stored in your collection.

Yes♥️♥️
Đåŕķ Ğűý haha
Jesusss yess
Absolutly.
The reason was simple - There was nothing like that before. May destiny bless GTA SA
2004 how I would love to go back even just for a day
This game came out in 2003. 05 Madden was 2004(the best Madden ever)
Take me home
JK number5 San Andreas came out in 04
I don't know what newer version you saw in 04. 03 was the original version. I heard Hilary Clinton had the original pulled off the shelf, so, 04 was another version. The original one has more gang territories you can get. That newer "The Trilogy" was the one I got in 2013. I hated it. It had less gang turf then the first one
JK number5 no it came out in 2004 idk what you talking about
0:19 this is when you feel relieved
Remember that for ya life.
Then that long ass GTA loading screen.
I've only really started to feel like that with a phat I got recently. Most of the time I turn it on and sometimes it just goes to the menu instead. My slims never did that once that I can remember.
Lol yeah 😂
Now this is what I call a quality youtube recommendation.
1950:cars will be flying on 2019
2019:gta san andreas on ps2
Mr. Vercetti 😂😂😂 Mad underrated comment my g 👊🏻
It recorded in 2004 not 2019 and that comment is too overrated
Its Tommy Vercetti in the comment section.
1950: in the future people will be more creative!
2019: people using the same joke over and over again
Mr. Vercetti you meant 2004: gta san andreas on ps2
Nobody:
Me: Trying to roleplay with grove street gang members.

Oooooh the good ol days before depression and working minimum wage 😐😢
I miss those bad graphics and the awful load time
Get them good ol days back! Nobody said we need to hold on to ol days of work styles in todays digital empire building era: Lots of things you could do online to make money and make money work for you: Trade pennystocks/options, online marketing with cpa/cpm/affiliate products, buy sell gold and or silver, buy sell products with FBA Amazon or dropshipping, bitcoin/ethereum trading and or mining, become a twitch streamer, appreneur, do surveys, sweepstakes, flip real estate, flip domains and or flip instagram accounts, make money with airbnb, uber, recharge lime steps, bikes, scooters, make money making playlists on spotify and other streaming platforms, make money uploading videos on youtube like the channel you're watching right now is also doing, make money making music and make that streaming money or royalty money with music placements on playlists or movies and tv shows etc aka PLENTY OPTIONS IF YOU SEARCH FOR IT BROTHER!
@@litt5211 I feel like what you just said requires job experience or experience in general and maybe I feel like those jobs you just mentioned seem to have a low success rate of making it. Is this true or not
