The truth is, I’m an ex-Turk who was closely tied to Zack and after betraying Shinra to help Veld, my old boss and his daughter, ex-leader of the first Avalanche and defeating Zirconiade alongside my other defecting Turks I went into hiding
I hope that in part 3, Zack in another timeline can meet Cissnei again and I also want to know about Cissnei's real name which is still a mystery until now
@@royhetharia2816i honestly won't be surprised if Cissnei becomes one of Zack's party members for Part 3. Like seriously, they're not just gonna give her so much in-dept in Rebirth if they're not planning something for her
They totally stuffed this up. In Crisis Core Reunion, Cissnei was in the helicopter. In that fight scene where Zack fights all the soldiers and die you can clearly see the Turks helicopters hovering and watching the fight. So there’s no way that Cissnei didn’t see Zack die. This probably put her over the edge so she left the Turks… That would have been the more likely scenario. Cissnei also knows that Aerith is Zack’s girlfriend. Cissnei saw Zack with Cloud and let them go not once but twice. So not to acknowledge Aerith and Cloud is pretty poor… Knowing Zack died she should have consoled Aerith. ie I’m so sorry, I saw Zack die. In the unlikely event she didn’t know Zack had died, seeing Cloud with the Buster Sword, surely she asks how he came by with it and what happened to Zack? That’s what a normal person does. I found the Cissnei scenes really out of place because of this. They stuffed it up. Unless there’s a better explanation in part 3…
@@tvbenglishsongtranslations Yeah, I feel like Cissnei here got a lot more stuff and parts where she could've ended up saying. In an interview with the devs directors, they did said that they added part just to make sense on some of it, but I guess not all of it. I'd be happy to see if Cissnei got to join the team after Aerith was lost. This also sucks that Cissnei and Tseng never gave those letters to Aerith.

Who loved Zack more Aerith or Cissnei? For the fact that Cissnei moved to Gongaga and looked over his family shows a lot. A nice twist from Noumara to really build Cissnei's character. I'm sure she will be back in Part 3. Cissnei got closure by meeting Aerith.
I guess both. you already know Zack made an impression on cissnei enough for her to move to gongaga because zack asked her to look after his parents and that's a big change that's lifestyle and etc. but Aerith also did something similar. Zack also asked Aerith to always wear pink when they meet. and she still does in hopes of meeting him despite it being 5 years ago since they last met. and the letters, for 5 years no replies but she still wrote letters to Zack.. so yeah both
@@tigera6 no lol his parents/people from gongaga literally never heard from him again and hes not really talking about himself; only about aerith to everyone
I don’t know what it is but I really love Cissnei’s voice acting especially when she pronounces words like “awhile” when saying “been following you for awhile”. Maybe it’s the sass she gives off.
Damn! Cissnei deserve some closure. It's still inside her... the guilt is still hunting her. There's no way she don't know what happens to Zack because she is still a Turk in hiding or mighty be a spy sent by Tseng. Her feelings for Zack is genuine as far as I can see...
Yeah deep down tseng isnt a bad guy either he tried to protect aerith for zack and i think he wont hurt cissnei because he likes her but he is loyal to shinra and thats make him dangerous
Cissnei was in the area where Zack had his last stand. She should have known about him being killed by the Shinra troops. I lean towards her, telling them that Zack is alive somewhere instead of being dead. She has been doing and saying questionable stuff throughout the story. It isn't too much of a stretch for her to say that sort of thing.
@@mysticlightning7655 She absolutely knew he died. Not just common sense deduction from her being a Turk and finding his body but actual on screen confirmation. She says it in Rebirth that she's waiting for "someone who isn't with us anymore" aka Zack
I knew that Cissnei recognized Cloud, what I didn't expect is that he maintains so much secrecy in revealing the truth about where he knows him from, perhaps she will confess it in the third part once Cloud already knows the whole truth. Although I don't understand why Cissnei tries to keep it a secret that she was one of the Turks, she could easily say it in confidence.
1:52 so Cissnei senses Zach is alive in another reality? Her dialogue kinda reminds me of how Cloud feels guilty and misses Aerith after she dies in AC, except Cissnei has hope that she'll see Zach again 2:00 - spoilers - - - - Both A and Z will be 'dead' characters in this reality/timeline, but the ending to Rebirth leads me to think Cissnei and Cloud will somehow be able to meet them again :) calling it now - worlds will merge in FF7R part 3, Cissnei and Zack will be reunited, as will Aerith and Cloud
It would be a form of 'communication' with another world, and to bring closure to the character's mind and sanity to know that the person they care about is still out there.
@@SolusArmaturaI hate to tell you but they’ve been building up to the worlds merging for 4 years since Remake came out and introduced Zack living in another timeline. It’s really your fault if you didn’t see this coming by the time the third game comes out.
This whole section was a good callbacks. I hope they give Cissnei a big role in part 3 or at least a few chapters. I feel that conversation where Aerith is hyping her up and saying if anyone could she can is telling like she’s gonna be a key piece. If Zack is with the party that reunion would be poetic.
That ending dialogue was really interesting and I do not know what to think about it. Cissnei: This world of ours is about to change. That's not my gut talking. The writing's been on the wall for a while now. And there's nothing we can do to stop what's coming. Aerith: I bet you could, if anyone. It's either writers' reference that part 3 will be really different and Cissnei will have some bigger role there. Or it is reference to something, i don't know. Really curious about it. Cissnei: That's sweet. You now, I think I see it now. What he saw in you. Yeah.. Well it will be probably that Aerith is personification of hope.
I played Crisis Core for the first time just 1 week before Rebirth came out and Cissnei became one of my favorite FF7 characters in less than a minute, so I was super happy to see her brought back for Rebirth. I wish she was a bigger part of it, but at least she's tied to a couple of side quests to flesh her part out a little bit.
Son Cissnei did recognize Cloud After all, I wasn't sure, because she doesnt seem bothered by the fact that he doesnt remember Zack, but the. She met Cloud when he was mako poisoned, she must know have deduced that Cloud forgotten memories were due to this, and for some reason she wants him to remember on his own and not with her help
She was a really good addition to Rebirth. Just the right amount of mystery and very well delivered/written. The way she dealt with Cait Sith and Chadley was perfect. A lot unsaid but one of the better presentations in terms of facial expressions conveying everything you need to know.
As much as i like zerith, i like cissnei also. So if aerith not end up with zack i hope they make zack with cissnei. I just want my boy got happy ending 😂
yes, its pretty blatant. Specially if you take into context that remake/rebirth puts a lot of highlight on cloud and aerith relationship. Even the main theme songs tell you about it.
She's deliberately being ambiguous (like all the answers she gives). When Cissnei says, "I can see what 'he' saw in you," she's clearly referring first and foremost to Zack, but she uses that to also tease Cloud. However, Aerith and Cloud don't realize that Cissnei is talking about Zack so they both act confused and think Cissnei is primarily talking about Cloud.
Cissnei has an unwavering belief in Zack and seems to be able to feel that he's not really gone. The fact that she can see the Whispers might have something to do with how he survived and how he comes back in the next game. The "wind" that helped Zack wasn't Aerith because the Whispers on the hill at his last stand were gray not white. Those gray Whispers were the planet's but somehow they decided to save Zack maybe they felt Cissnei's wish. Tseng told her, "You're going to save Zack's life" she might indirectly have done so by strongly wishing him to live. The command over the Whispers was broken in Remake so it's possible to influence them with emotions. When Cissnei said the world is about to change and there's nothing we can do to stop what's coming, Aerith told Cissnei, "I bet you could, if anyone." A ridiculous amount of foreshadowing if there's nothing there next game.
She is ex-shinra and now lives in Gongaga. Aerith even cooked with her and talked about having dinner with the Fair's. I'm surprised Aerith has not put the pieces together that the guy she is talking about is Zack. Or maybe Aerith knows she just wants to keep a poker face.
There are many great female characters in ff7 rebirth, like Esther, Commander, and Kirie. I think Sisne has the most special position among them. Aerith and Sisne are both closely related to zack, but they differ in crucial aspects. Aeris vaguely remembers zack as a "friendly older brother in the neighborhood" who hung out with her sometimes. Sisne and zack have been on several missions together and have supported each other by affirming their introverted sides. In Crisis Core, Sisne was supposed to kill zack, but for some reason she didn't. I think this is how Sisne truly loves zack, otherwise it wouldn't be possible for him to protect his hometown alone and take care of zack's parents. So, I think the relationship between the two is something like “a stupid, but honest and kind boyfriend who started out as a business relationship.”
Why didn't Cissnei tell Cloud and Aerith the truth? That She's part of the Turks and also Zack's close friend. And why didn't Cissnei also ask Cloud about how Cloud could have the SOLDIER Uniform and Buster Sword that were supposed to belong to Zack?
I'm pretty sure telling exactly that will make Cloud lose trust in her and worsened his ongoing identity crisis. Plus, Cissnei already knows about Cloud wearing a SOLDIER uniform. So why should she ask that? I mean, when Zack encountered Cissnei at the beach during his escape, she immediately saw Cloud (already wearing the SOLDIER uniform) shortly after.
coz Cissnei knows Zack died in that 1000 infantrymen battle, and shes the only one who knows that it is Cloud whos Zack with and gone missing. Base on Crisis Core there were two Lab subject who escaped( Zack and an unkown infantryman w/c is Cloud).
Back then after playin crisis core for the 1st time when it came out i always wondered what happened to her and the remake shows her a part of her story
What a woman, for what was a one sided crush in Crisis Core... she's seriously taking it all the way on her end, willingly, without complaints, all for a memory as she knows he's dead. It really doesn't get any further than looking after the dude's aging parents and protecting his hometown. Then we have... Aerith hitting on Cloud first thing because he reminded her of Zack. Geez.
@@AnimeFreak-ox8xz oh yeah, terrible of aerith. how dare she fall in love with another guy 5 years after losing contact with zack? how dare she move on with her life and try to find happiness instead of being stuck in the past? she should stay loyal to zack for the rest of her life and never fall in love with anyone ever again, we need more women like that... you ppl sound insane with these takes. these are complex characters with complex emotions, moving on from a past love and falling for someone else is a normal concept and a lot more realistic than "holding on to your first love".
@@ugh5281 well, she's been sending letters to Zack for 5 years after his disappearance, clearly not over him. Throughout rebirth we can see she's still harbouring feelings for Zack. Not saying she shouldn't move on. But she's hitting on the first guy she meets, who resembles Zack while she is still not over him. That's unhealthy and it's what we call a red flag.

I felt so bad for not picking the first answer! We were so close to finding out Cissnei’s identity that I *had* to ask her. I love they brought back Cissnei but by doing so they created some inconsistencies Cissnei should recognise Cloud as she followed Zack with Cloud and let them go… Cissnei should have known Zack died being in the helicopter. Cissnei as a Turk knows Aerith. So you would expect her to say ‘I’m so sorry, I saw Zack die’. If she did not know Zack died, I’m sure she would have said ‘Cloud, the guy with you. Did he die? How did you get his buster sword?. If she truly cared and love Zack she would have asked this. Anyway…
It do have a lot of holes in this story. I think Cissnei was just added on a whim that they didn't thought much about her. It's as if they've forgotten Cissnei knows a lot about what happened before. Yet, in this story it feels as if Cissnei is clueless. In part 3, they better make things right.
I mean…..are we sure that the Turks ever encountered Zacks body? I mean this might sound morbid….but in all likelihood with the military squaring off with Zack and Zack kicking the hell out of them before dying…..I wouldn’t be surprised if Hojo had his “sample” recovered, it very well might have been that Cloud wandered off taking the buster sword and shortly after the science division recovered Zacks body. The Turks only know that one of the samples were captured but not who…..and due to the events of Before Crisis coming into play by this time things were spiraling out of control for the Turks on their end, and cisnnei was forced into hiding
From her dialog, it seems she knows Cloud, she knows Aerith, and she knows Zack is dead. However, Cloud lost his memories, and Cissnei never met Aerith in person. Neither Cloud nor Aerith knows her, and she isn't particularly close to either of them. She is holding back info because she needs to maintain her new life to watch over Zack's parents. And her spilling the beans would necessitate for the story to explain who she is, which the writers didn't want to do.
@@RealLifeIronMan she’s waiting for her puppy to return… That’s a reference to the fact she’s waiting for Zack to return. Angeal give Zack the nickname of puppy. The dialogue suggests Cissnei didn’t see Zack die.
Theory why she didnt tell them the truth. She knows Cloud was suffering from Mako poisoning the last time she saw him. This is probably her way of protecting him, just like Zack did in his last moments. She wants him to remember on his own. Secondly, explaining that she saw him die, would also require her to explain why she was there and she clearly doesnt want anyone to know she was a Turk. Finally, she's waiting for him to come back. She might have saw him die, but she doesnt say he's dead. Even in her vague way, only that he's gone. She probably doesn't want to admit it out loud. She's in the denial stage of grief.
Y’know what’s especially messed up about this? Cissnei never found Zack. Let that sink in for a moment. This is gonna get really dark: Crisis Core Spoilers . . . . So are we to assume OG Zack’s body was recovered by Hojo’s troops, taken back to Shinra Manor, where Hojo dissected the crap out of him? That’s messed up!
Zack's body was likely found by the Turks and he was given a private funeral by them. Cissnei has two specific reasons for feeling guilty. The first one is she let Zack go when he was on the run. Not that she could've physically stopped Zack anyway but she didn't know Tseng would've helped Zack. At the time she wanted to protect Zack from the Turks. They had no idea that the subjects they were after would turn out to include Zack. The second reason is that when Tseng ordered her to find Zack and save him, she couldn't find him again in time before the army did, and Zack died. Cissnei would've went with Zack and Cloud if she could go back in time to when she first encountered them. She has to live with the fact that she sent him off to his death. She would also feel guilty about never telling Zack her name and never telling him her true feelings for him.
I hope zack and cissnei will end up❤ .. aerith and cloud feels forced and i dont see them fitting each other but if they want it ,they can have it .. Cissnei is best girl❤
Not in my version 😅 Cloud and Tifa finally have their date. Despite Aerith being lonely i really don't like her flirty behaviour with Cloud, especially cause she knows that Tifa has feelings for Cloud. For her(Aerith) it feels like she sees Zack in Cloud and just wants to fill the gap, cause she has a feeling that Zack might be already dead.
@@LeocaprioDinardothe biggest pro for a tifa cloud romance is their history. To break it down a bit, cloud's main motivation to go to midgar to become a SOLDIER was to become stronger to be able to protect the ones he liked and to become respected and make a for himself like Sephiroth, since he couldn't protect Tifa when they went to mount Nibel. The promise they gave each other on the water tower etc. We also followed the whole story of Cloud and Aerith getting to know each other. And you can't name a single moment where it would make sense that Aerith or Cloud could have fallen in love with each other. Aerith story and motivation follows a whole different vibe. She being alone in her childhood, being the last Cetra, losing her mother, losing Zack is a different narrative. But no point that indicates she is falling in love with Cloud as a person other than she sees a replacement of Zack in him, cause that's the only thing that could explain her somewhat superficial feelings for Cloud. I played the OG when it came out and it was more of a forced romance. It just didn't work plotwise back then nor does it work in remake or rebirth. But that's my two cents. And I don't tell people what to believe and what not. I am not that presumtous to tell others that they didn't understand the story or didn't have a f'ing clue. If the love story between Cloud and Aerith makes sense to you, it's totally fine. For me it just doesn't and can't have the substance that Tifa and Cloud have with each other.
Sorry to all those Cissnei fans out there, but... this just makes me hate her. Instead of being forthright about what she knows, she intentionally dangles the truth in front of Cloud. She's fully aware that he doesn't know Zack when he *should* and even though he needs answers to figure out what's going on in his own mind, she just kinda waltzes off without giving much. Real jerk move on her part.

@@LodyPolskieNarodowe okay so hear me out plz! I understand that in ff7 remake we defied fate & “defeated” the events of original ff7. Throughout the ff7 rebirth game, we see that there aren’t any more whispers bc duh we beat fate therefore the events of the game cannot lead to the original story of ff7 but it kinda does..? & also we see in the game that some of the whispers are back. The point of the whispers is so that the current events of the game follow the events of the original ff7 timeline. So 1. Why are they back, & #2 does this mean there are multiple timelines?
@@Sahrah3201 1. Idk why Sephiroth created his whispers but he probably thought it would be nice to use them. The white ones have to defend the planet. At least I believe so. We can see this when the weapons use them to defeat the Sephiroth's whispers and when they block the path to stop Cloud from seeing Aerith's death, so he can't break up mentally as much as he did in OG. I don't think they're just "normal whispers but with a white colour". 2. Yes, there are multiple timelines. And I believe Aerith and Cloud are located in the new timeline created by Cloud himself who didn't accept Aerith's death and defied the fate by blocking Sephiroth's attack. The rest of the party is located in the OG/rebirth timeline. That's why he can see Aerith. I think so at least. I also hope I explained the ending to you. Also, if you still have some doubts or you don't understand something, feel free to ask. I'm not an expert of FF7 but I've been interested in the franchise for some time and I know few things about it.
Heart is a very strange thing and Zack will probably never find out which woman really loves him. Because, how can you find out if someone loves you? There is probably only one objective criterion and it is when someone goes away from their comfort zone just for you, when they do some things which they normally wouldn't, when they do something not liking, in other words, to judge a person by actions and not words. And Zack's game, Crisis Core, is written in such a way that it is nearly impossible for anyone to help him because he is able to help himself on his own. In fact, Crisis Core is a masterclass in writing. One of the main themes there is the view of the world through the lens of a popstar. Soldiers are conceptualized like popstars. They have fame, fanclubs, easy travel, freedom. But how can they find out who really cares for them? Zack is a Soldier, a popstar. He meets Aerith and thinks he found real love. And in the context of Crisis Core, it's perfectly valid. Look at her actions in Crisis Core. She hugs Zack, lets him persuade her to sell flowers, and when he disappears, she sends him letters. It is not much but in the context of Crisis Core, it is OK. She seems to be quite passive, a princess type afraid of any change and the need for cuddling, and probably not having abilities to do more. If only there was just Crisis Core. But alas, there is FF7, and it shows that what she has done for Zack is the literal minimum of what she is able to do, and the whole thing with Zack was just fangirling. Look at her actions in FF7, when she obviously finds the real love of her life, Cloud, we will find how active she is when she wants. Firstly, she meets him on Loveless Street, he immediately catches her attention, maybe because of a similar hairstyle, clothes, and sword like Zack's. And she wants to be remembered, so she immediately gives him a flower. Well, as small a thing as it looks, in these games, gifts are taken very seriously, and this gift is mentioned more times later. But did she ever give any gift to Zack? Well, here she just caught an interest and they departed. But a few days later, Cloud fell through the roof of her church and that was the moment where she completely lost it. She took it as a sign of God, and maybe she was right, that this is the right man for her. From this moment, it was just a play of cat with a mouse, where Aerith was the cat and Cloud, ever thinking he does what he wants, was just a plaything. I don't say she is manipulative; she probably did it intuitively, but her actions are clear. She fell in love so much, she was so sure that this is the right man that like immediately she decided to show him to her mother. Oh Aerith, you didn't show Zack to your mother in two years' time, what happened, that you are able to do it immediately? You lead him to your mother. Mother understands but doesn't like Cloud and disapproves of your choice, sending him to secretly leave. What did you do Aerith? You don't ever say goodbye to your mother and leave home just to be with him. He leads a dangerous life? Never mind. You find there is another woman in his life? Doesn't matter, you will fight. In a few days, you leave everything which you liked, you travel under the sky, you don't like, go to countries, far away from your beloved slums. In the end, you even lose your life just for his cause. And even after death, every time when you could help him, you do. You gave literally your everything to Cloud. And you want to tell us that you really loved Zack? Like really? Zack always perceived Aerith as a city mouse, timid and passive. Little did he know, she was actually an assertive lioness, especially when deeply in love. Now, with hindsight, it becomes clear how little she truly cared for Zack. She hugged him, yes, a very beautiful scene and meant much for Zack. But for her? It cost her nothing. You can quite see how later with friends, this fangirl is speaking that she has a boyfriend and he is a Soldier and she even hugged him. And when he vanished in Nibelheim? What were her thoughts? No stretch, it was something like this: "Oh, Zack surely doesn't love me anymore. He probably found someone else. Unfortunate me. But I will not leave it this way, I will fight, I will send him letters..." Yes exactly, a fangirl. Imagine Cloud in Zack's position. Aerith wouldn't send him any letters; she would take action. She'd inquire with the Turks, other Soldiers, or even journey to Nibelheim herself. Within a month, she'd either be dead or have Cloud back. But for Zack, it was different. Why? Zack couldn't have known this. It's a double tragedy; he dies not far from Midgar, his last thoughts consumed by a fangirl rather than someone who genuinely loved him. It could have been even worse. Aerith might not have realized she was merely fangirling; it was her first romantic relationship, and she didn't know any better. Perhaps she genuinely believed she was in love with Zack. But what about Cloud and Zack's friendship? I hope Cloud truly is Zack's friend. Perhaps there's an opportunity for Cloud to step out of his comfort zone, to go out of his way to help Zack, instead of the other way around, as it always is. Now, consider this hypothetical scenario: the endgame could be Cloud choosing Tifa over Aerith. In response, Aerith, out of despair and seeing Zack pining for her, might sacrifice herself for him. This is where Cloud's true friendship could shine. Cloud could either remain silent, being a false friend, leading to Zack living with a woman he thinks loves him but doesn't, and with a friend who isn't genuine. This would be in line with the themes of Crisis Core, as many pop stars endure such false relationships. However, while this ending is intriguing, I'm not a fan. I want a happy ending for Zack. Alternatively, Cloud could prove his friendship by intervening, saying, "Hey Zack, Aerith, don't ruin your lives. Zack, I know it hurts, but she doesn't truly love you. Aerith, I wish you the best." This would clear the air and lead to a genuinely happy ending. Plus, Zack could find someone who genuinely loves him. And we already know who it is. Yes, it is Cissnei. He can now see that while Aerith was writing her pathetic letters, she was going to his parents, tending to them. When he escaped from the laboratory, she twice disobeyed orders. Even after his death, she went again to his parents, absolutely committing herself to his memory. She never moved on like some fangirl of Aerith. Her actions are so much more than Aerith's ever been. And now they give us Cissnei here, it is like a ray of hope for Zack, that he has the possibility to have a happy ending. How nice it would be. I so wish they don't put him in another suffering, but I don't have much faith seeing Rebirth where they let him die like three times? Why are you doing this to him? If you like him, give him a happy ending with Cissnei. And if you really like him. Make a proper remake of Crisis Core, not just a remaster, and put a real affection system so we can choose who we love. How I would like to say to Aerith: "You are such a child unripe for a real relationship :-)." Zack deserves better.
Cissnei really is a ray of hope in FF7. To me she's the best girl. The endless shipping wars and Tifa vs Aerith fandom forever at each other's throats gets extremely tiresome. I'm glad there's an even better girl in FF7 for the sane people to root for instead
@@jesse1381 Yes, Cissnei is gold. Silly me, I went through half Crisis Core thinking she is just a cold professional. And then lighthouse scene happened and I started to understand.
@@jesse1381 Yes, I would be pretty sad if he will not survive. He had epic death in Crisis Core. But in rebirth they let him die how much 3 times? If he will not survive it will just cheapen his death. We already have precedent, Rufus Shinra died in OG but they resurected him in Advent Children and it is great. But at least we have new interactions between Zack and Elmyra and Marlene, something I never thought about, but it turned out to be superb.
That was the most useless, dodging questions ever. She didn’t even answer them “who are you, none of your business” “what are u hiding, I know cloud” like that’s so dumb
Yes and? She's ex-turk who for all intents and purposes settled down to live a quiet life. Makes a lot of sense for her not to say more than she has to. Me when secret agents hide personal information:
They know exactly what they doing, Tifa, Aierth and even Cesseni don't want to tell Cloud, It so obviously Cloud know Zack, Especially for Aeirth, Why would Aierth come with a stranger she just met to a dangerous mission? Aierth knew she can trust him because of she instanly recognize a sword, and the first class and the eye, it a only reason why Aierth join Cloud to a journey all because of Zack, Aierth knew what she doing! And the fact that when cloud telling a orgin story, Tifa instanly knew something not right with a story cause she was there and she mention Cloud wasnt in a hometown, Technically he was but as a regular soldier, She knew there a mixup and Tifa didnt even tell him about a real story Cesseni literally met Cloud when he was passing out due to mako poisoning, Why would she ever forget him easily when Cloud is with Zack who Cesseni been waiting for him, and not even Cesseni tell Cloud about Zack, She even reference to Zack about loving Aierth, She was a turk watching Aierth on a watchlist Three girl dont want to tell Cloud about Zack and what really happen is sad...
These parts really annoyed me. Not just with Cissnei, but Tifa and Aerith as well. Personally, I feel they're doing more damage to Cloud and his memories than what they are helping him to resolve, by keeping him in the dark permanently. They gladly take it so far passed the point to where Cloud's memories are totally f*cked with what really happened. Not spoiling anything here for those who haven't played yet, but come Nibelheim when he *does* start to recall, Tifa keeps her trap shut and admits that his screwed up memories are correct. Real douche move. Makes me regret romancing her. In fact, it's *because* of this that I'm convinced none of them give a shit about Cloud nor him regaining his memories. This is on par with having the person you 'love' be trapped in a burning pit and instead of helping them out to save their life, you stand there and watch them burn to death because they have to 'help themselves out'. Really makes me glad they kept to the original storyline as far as Aerith's concerned, because having one deceitful b*tch is more than enough.
Yeah, all three women gaslit Cloud pretty bad in Rebirth. As much as I hate to admit it though as a Cloti, Tifa was probably the worst. She knew the truth about Zack in Nibelheim, and how he was Aerith's lost love whom she's been agonizing over, and she hides the truth from her too. That's really messed up.
Why blame Aerith when shew knew almost nothing.. not until tifa told him some bits... But it is not her job to tell stuff to Cloud because she almost knew nothing and she is not the one involved.. it is not her job.. because its disrepectful to cross boundaries to stuff you're not even involved with and know little of
Cloud's memories? No. But cluing him in on the future? F*CK YES! Aerith knew of her death and knew of a whole f*ck ton of other shit (INCLUDING THE WHISPERS THAT RED HAD TO TELL THEM ABOUT AFTER AERITH SHARED THIS KNOWLEDGE WITH HIM!) that was GOING to happen in the future yet she CHOSE to keep her mouth shut instead of letting the man she 'loves' (in this case Cloud) clued in so they could try to prevent / resolve it. Aerith? "Nah, f*ck it ... I'll just leave 'THE MAN I LOVE' in the dark and let him suffer if he does choose me over Tifa, because TROLOLOLOLLL SO FUNNY! FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF CLOUD! LOL!" .... Yeah ... does that sound like someone who loves someone else? If your answer is "yes" then you have a very warped opinion of 'loving' someone. @@AiLoveHue
@@Doreai have you seen the game? Aerith and Red's memories were erased in Rebirth after they crossed the whispers at the end of remake... And at Rebirth you can see Aerith is trying her best to save the planet and Cloud that is why there are multiple timelines... Yes, I have seen the game. Both actually and I was referring to Remake BEFORE they lost their memories to the Whispers. Aerith had this knowledge which she unconsciously and unintentionally shared with Red 13 while they were rescuing her. In other words she WANTED to keep everyone in the dark while she had answers. Which means during that period while she still had those memories and prior to then, she chose to keep her mouth shut the entire time and leave Cloud in the dark. Not just him, but Tifa as well when she'd also want answers. @@AiLoveHue

I was so disappointed they didn't use any for Remake. Glad they did for Rebirth.

The truth is, I’m an ex-Turk who was closely tied to Zack and after betraying Shinra to help Veld, my old boss and his daughter, ex-leader of the first Avalanche and defeating Zirconiade alongside my other defecting Turks I went into hiding
To be fair we don't know if the Before Crisis stuff is true yet. Crisis Core is canon to Remake because of Reunion but Before Crisis isn't.

I'm not crying. You're crying.
Aerith asking if Cissnei is expecting 'someone'😢 Cissnei still waiting for the puppy.
I suppose that's why square released crisis core reunion, so that people could know about these characters
Zack also asked Aerith to always wear pink when they meet. and she still does in hopes of meeting him despite it being 5 years ago since they last met. and the letters, for 5 years no replies but she still wrote letters to Zack.. so yeah both
@@jcie3424Oof I either never knew the pink thing or am surprised I didn’t remember it.. either way, means a lot.

Aerith considers herself Zack's girlfriend. Cissnei considers herself Zack's family. Now you tell me who loved him more?

Both A and Z will be 'dead' characters in this reality/timeline, but the ending to Rebirth leads me to think Cissnei and Cloud will somehow be able to meet them again :) calling it now - worlds will merge in FF7R part 3, Cissnei and Zack will be reunited, as will Aerith and Cloud
That'd would be cheesy as all hell. Death would mean nothing if the "worlds merge." I really hope that doesn't happen.
@@SolusArmaturawelcome to the multiverse

This whole section was a good callbacks. I hope they give Cissnei a big role in part 3 or at least a few chapters. I feel that conversation where Aerith is hyping her up and saying if anyone could she can is telling like she’s gonna be a key piece. If Zack is with the party that reunion would be poetic.
That ending dialogue was really interesting and I do not know what to think about it.
Cissnei:
This world of ours is about to change.
That's not my gut talking. The writing's been on the wall for a while now.
And there's nothing we can do to stop what's coming.
Aerith:

*CRISIS CORE FFVII*
I'm surprised Cissnei would not give out spoilers, and Cloud is really sharp thinking about Cissnei's hidden secrets
I wouldn’t be surprised if she played likea ninjutsuless Yuffie. Maybe pull out pistols when her throwing star is away.
Son Cissnei did recognize Cloud After all, I wasn't sure, because she doesnt seem bothered by the fact that he doesnt remember Zack, but the. Cissnei (to Aerith) : Yeah...
Aerith : Yeah what?
Cissnei (to Cloud) : Yeah?
Cloud : Yeah...?
She was a really good addition to Rebirth. Just the right amount of mystery and very well delivered/written. The way she dealt with Cait Sith and Chadley was perfect. A lot unsaid but one of the better presentations in terms of facial expressions conveying everything you need to know.
I have a feeling that in part 3, she'll join the Turks to help with the evacuation on Midgar, and maybe we'll see other Turks from Before Crisis.
As much as i like zerith, i like cissnei also. So if aerith not end up with zack i hope they make zack with cissnei. I just want my boy got happy ending 😂
I love Aerith (more than Cissnei and Tifa even) but stay with the one who stays and looks up for your family like her own even when you're long gone
Cissnei is down for Zack and this proves it, I think they’d work well together as a couple
Is it just me or did Cissnei imply in the final dialogue that Cloud likes Aerith?
I think she was playfully asking cloud if he too knows what zack saw in aerith. Although you could be right
yes, its pretty blatant. Specially if you take into context that remake/rebirth puts a lot of highlight on cloud and aerith relationship. Even the main theme songs tell you about it.
I'm curious to see what part 3 will be like in terms of their relationship...@@yopitalla
No… she is talking about Zack, and looks to cloud for confirmation. He doesn’t know wtf she is talking about but he agrees anyway cuz it’s cloud
Who knows, maybe in Zack's timeline he would team up with Cissnei and solve whatever crisis need to be dealt with in part 3.
They’re trying really hard to hide Zack.
I ship Cissnei with Zack over Aerith personally.
She just gave us a hint that Zack is alive but not with us - a.k.a. wandering in the dream worlds as we play Rebirth.
Aerith telling Cissnei she can make difference is the biggest fucking excuse to have her evacuate Midgar in Part 3.
I love this series.
3:24 She’ll be crushed if you can’t manage to remember her, but she won’t actually tell you regardless 😭
It would have been so cool if that quest would have allowed Cissnei to be a guest party member and participate in battles.
I’m surprised Aerith didn’t mention the Soldier First Class she once knew. She tells everyone about him, but not by name.
Except she did in remake in the park she says his name (cloud has one of his headaches which prevents him from hearing it)
One thing I learned on this scene
Cissnei and Aerith are definitely Zack's Harem
She hasn’t even told Zack her real name 😢
Cissnei being Hojo’s bodyguard on the Sephiroth clone project is an unexpected twist.
Why didn't Cissnei tell Cloud and Aerith the truth? That She's part of the Turks and also Zack's close friend. And why didn't Cissnei also ask Cloud about how Cloud could have the SOLDIER Uniform and Buster Sword that were supposed to belong to Zack?
because "plot"
I'm pretty sure telling exactly that will make Cloud lose trust in her and worsened his ongoing identity crisis. Plus, Cissnei already knows about Cloud wearing a SOLDIER uniform. So why should she ask that? I mean, when Zack encountered Cissnei at the beach during his escape, she immediately saw Cloud (already wearing the SOLDIER uniform) shortly after.
Zack stuff seems to be avoided in this game. Hints only. Maybe that’ll change in game 3.
I think the turks knows well about zack's death, so that's the reason why cissnei didn't ask anything
coz Cissnei knows Zack died in that 1000 infantrymen battle, and shes the only one who knows that it is Cloud whos Zack with and gone missing. Base on Crisis Core there were two Lab subject who escaped( Zack and an unkown infantryman w/c is Cloud).
Back then after playin crisis core for the 1st time when it came out i always wondered what happened to her and the remake shows her a part of her story
Cissnei is so good at conspiracy :)

I love they brought back Cissnei but by doing so they created some inconsistencies
Cissnei should recognise Cloud as she followed Zack with Cloud and let them go… Cissnei should have known Zack died being in the helicopter.
@@tvbenglishsongtranslations She says she is waiting for Zack even though she knows he is dead. She feels him in another timeline.

@@LeocaprioDinardo can you elaborate or just leave it in the dust of a myth?
So is this the same cissnei from crisis core who was an ex Turk? Or in this timeline is she different
Yeah, she was a turk. It's the same Cissnei.
@@LodyPolskieNarodowe this whole game confuses me so much. Like I don’t get how there’s 2 aeriths & 2 clouds. This whole timeline thing doesn’t make sense to me
@@Sahrah3201 Every time someone defies the fate, new timelines are being created. Each one is different from others, like in the remake/OG one Zack died, but in another he survived. I don't really know what else can I say about them but I can tell you smth about the ending and my theory to light things up by a little.
Aerith, I wish you the best."
This would clear the air and lead to a genuinely happy ending.

Yes and? She's ex-turk who for all intents and purposes settled down to live a quiet life. Makes a lot of sense for her not to say more than she has to.
Me when secret agents hide personal information:
They know exactly what they doing, Tifa, Aierth and even Cesseni don't want to tell Cloud,
It so obviously Cloud know Zack, Especially for Aeirth, Why would Aierth come with a stranger she just met to a dangerous mission? Aierth knew she can trust him because of she instanly recognize a sword, and the first class and the eye, it a only reason why Aierth join Cloud to a journey all because of Zack, Aierth knew what she doing!
And the fact that when cloud telling a orgin story, Tifa instanly knew something not right with a story cause she was there and she mention Cloud wasnt in a hometown, Technically he was but as a regular soldier, She knew there a mixup and Tifa didnt even tell him about a real story
Cesseni literally met Cloud when he was passing out due to mako poisoning, Why would she ever forget him easily when Cloud is with Zack who Cesseni been waiting for him, and not even Cesseni tell Cloud about Zack, She even reference to Zack about loving Aierth, She was a turk watching Aierth on a watchlist
Three girl dont want to tell Cloud about Zack and what really happen is sad...
@@AiLoveHue
