I never see it mentioned but they added custom new animations for the new weapons for the older Emotes in splatoon 3 (Victory animations from Splat 1 & 2)
I do not think so. I have not played much of 2, but I do not see an option in the menu. I think the character's emote just depends on if it is an Octoling or Inkling, its gender, and the weapon it was using.

i wish the octolings had their own victory animations like in Splatoon 2. It doesent look right when they do the female inkling winning animations.

All of the octolings personalities from Splatoon 2 were just taken away in Splatoon

Looking back at Spoon 1 you notice how much the animation has improved over time!
I wish Splatoon 3 had the expressive defeat animations from Splatoon 1 and brought back the octoling animations from Splatoon 2
Yeah, it could show your character looking all upset when you have to look at your stats
I really wish they add lose animation in the Splatoon 3 becuse it just makes me mad to see the opponent's victory dance
