I’m late to the party , never heard of Mia Goth until a couple of days ago when I watched X and Pearl in preparation for Maxxxine which I saw today and thoroughly enjoyed it, thought the third act was unsatisfying but still had a great time , Pearl I was blown away by, hands down one of the best films I’ve seen in years, Mia should have been Oscar nominated
Really enjoyed it It’s a very good trilogy

christopher reeve is a brilliant actor

I was disappointed that they didn’t explain why pearl and maxxxine looked like each other or why they lived similar lives. Other than it was okay but definitely the weakest of the three.
Mia Goth’s next films are Blade and Bride of Frankenstein.
Maybe they’ll make a fourth film explaining this

It doesn’t necessarily need an explanation its more for the audience as opposed to the characters themselves in the film. I guess the director just wanted to show you how badly both characters wanted fame and how similar they are.
I was very much looking forward to this as I loved X but was left a little disappointed. The start is great and very 80's, some squirmy kills (one in particular) but the character of Maxine doesnt reallt develop snd it goes a bit wild in the third act (maybe intentionally). Will rewatch on blu ray but feel it was a bit of a missed opportunity. Kevin Bacon was great tho.

Sounds really good and Mia Goth is a great actress I think. I loved X and Pearl so will probably like this too.
