    All this tells us is that Van der Vaart is probably not a good judge of talent. It’s extremely unlikely that Kane was technically “shit” when he first started training with the first team. It’s not like he has ever relied upon his athleticism, so he most likely wasn’t there for that reason. It’s also very, very hard to imagine that he’d be invited to train with the first team in a professional club playing in the Premier League if he was as bad as claimed here.

    • @BigDadJan
      @BigDadJan 9 месяцев назад +19

      Van der Vaart is also from the Ajax school, where the most important things are technique, a first touch and ball control. He wasn't there as a scout, he was there as a judgmental teammate. He's the type of guy that prefers Ryan Gravenberch over Jude Bellingham, he likes what he likes and Kane was probably just bad at the things that Van der Vaart appreciates within football as a youngster.

    • @sdemosi
      @sdemosi 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@BigDadJanVan der Vaart has an abrasive personality. He was a technically very good footballer who made some odd career choices and didn't win as many trophies as he might have given his early promise. Saying Harry Kane was shit is similar to saying Henderson is shit. Untrue, pointlessly rude and attention seeking.

    • @JoBlakeLisbon
      @JoBlakeLisbon 9 месяцев назад +1

      I've watched Kane for England many times and thought exactly the same. He's so slow and ponderous at times you have no idea what he's doing there. Then he gets a chance and it's game over.
      If Kane was a highly talented player he wouldn't have been sent out on loan thirteen times as a youngster. He had some potential but it is his own focus and concentration that has allowed him to raise his game to its current level.

Plus, it isn't a lie that Spurs was holding back Kane as Spurs is simply not that great of a team and now at BM he pretty much has the chance to become Ballon D Or if he keeps getting this insane numbers, his only rival imo is Bellingham atm and Kane could've never be competing for a Ballon D Or title if he was still at Spurs.

      Even then, he's still not considered for BallonDor. And now he spent half a season in Bayern, and is not considered top 5 nominees. That's why BallonDor is bullshit lol.

      @@andrewg537 Exactly, but now he better be included on the top 3 Nominees, his numbers right now speak Volumes and will do even more when he wins some trophies. Sadly, at Spurs you can't really grow much once you are in a level like Kane or Son is, because these guys are absolute monsters. But as of this video was uploaded I can see comments 3 or 2 years ago absolutely ridiculing and roasting the shit out of Kane, that's why I'm saying these comments didn't age well, because maybe you don't like the guy, but you can't deny how good baller he is. I personally don't like his style, but this brother is insane, imo much more influential than Lewandowski or Haaland, because not only can he scores, but his assist numbers are also crazy for a number 9, people just hate on him cuz he is English or idk. With all this being said, yes, Ballon D Or is an outstanding pile of BS!

    Harry Kane was offered to Rangers in 2011 (on loan) when he was 18, we had just won the league for the third year in a row and, as the story goes, Rangers thought he was a bit too young and far too skinny to be featured with us in Europe and challenging for a fourth consecutive title 🏆
    As it turned out, being only 18, it was thought that he may be happier staying closer to home and playing for a team where there wouldn't be very much pressure and he went to Leyton Orient 😄
