What is thickness of MDF?
Hi Drewbert34 the MDF plate is 12 mm (1/2 inch) thick. The only important thing here is, it is flat and doesn't warp or bend. If the MDF stays dry you can use it. If not you are better of with water resistent material like plexiglass or aluminium.
HansVGinkel I noticed it seemed to be the perfect thickness for the plug with the metal strip attached.
