Andy Serkis deserves an Oscar
he's too good for the oscars
Pretty sure the guy could just play an Oscar. Dude is incredible.
those scumbags wont give him the acknowledgement he deserves there a bunch of puppets
What are you talking about? @@midnitedip8850
@@twstf8905 the academy awards don't consider motion capture as a legitimate form of acting, so Andy couldn't receive an Oscar for his performance in the planet of the apes trilogies.
man, andy serkis is waaaaaaaay to humble. For the love of god, protect that man. I saw the movie and it actually made me tear up quite a bit
I cannot fucking believe Matt Reeves is directing Batman..... This dude took over the Apes franchise and delivered one of the best trilogies ever made. If Ben can't direct, then we honestly couldn't have gotten a better choice than Matt. This dude understands that less is more.
And the fact that he wants to do a noir style detective story tells me that he understands Batman. Add Ben, the most physically accurate Batman, and we have a chance of having a tremendous film.
And can we please get Andy Serkis nominated for an Oscar already?! I still think Jackman deserves to win for Logan, but Serkis definitely deserves a nomination as of right now.
Alex Love i couldn't agree more
Alex Love Ben is out
How did you like the teaser trailer ?
One...Of...The...Best..Trilogy I ever had the pleasure of enjoying. From the originals to the rebut (not the 2001 movie). This was the most heart warming satisfying trilogy I had ever watch, I can not put into words the sadness and the emotional connection with Caesar's character. From Rise of the planet of the apes to Dawn of the planet of the apes and then War for the planet of the apes. No series like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, comes even close to my expectation that planet of the apes as delivered. I will truly miss this epic journey from the first time I have seen it. I hope that what ever comes next will be just as exciting and as gratifying as the trilogy was. I have never experienced a movie like War for the planet of the apes in my life.
It's refreshing to see an interviewer who seems like he actually really cares about cinema, most interviewers seemingly fail to do even the basic amount of research required to interview the people they are asking questions to. This was an amazing interview with fantastic questions.
I have never seen King Kong without crying my eyes out! I love Andy Serkis, he's the best!
the honest excitement Reeves, Sirkis, and Zahn shows in this interview is making me so excited to watch this movie.
46 minutes isn't long enough. We need a month to talk about this masterpiece.
Give Caesar an oscar
people confuse war film with action film. Thin red line, apocalypse now. I love you Matt
You can tell all of them had a good time making this film, & are very happy with the final product. I would be too, they should be very proud of the work that they did, incredibly moving film.
I' m in love with andy's voice
Films a masterpiece, matt reeves is probably my favourite director
Can you imagine Amiah's family asking, "Did you get a speaking role?" Amiah: "Um...it's complicated."
I just saw War, and I was YELLING at Cesar to get him to snap out of his blind rage for revenge, even at the risk of the entire ape tribe. Such incredible filmmaking. Thank you all so much for this trilogy!
Just saw "WAR". My God, I do not know if I will recover, (just a movie) but forever in my heart for Caesar! I bawled at the end of WAR and still am crying. So VERY real!
I couldnt believe myself, I always get to the movie early and of course the movie I was waiting for the MOST this year. I end up coming late, that kinda ruined the flow but It was an Amazing movie. I was really touched by the ending for the simplicity in it too. Everybody's having their time and Caesar just fades. I liked it, so far Best Movie of the Year
Especially at the scene of the redemption of Red!!!
Andy Serkis, like Richard Taylor at Weta, are excellent, excellent, ambassadors for their art forms.
Andy Serkis is the best actor of all time
I’d argue with almost anyone that Andy might be a top 5 all time actor
Agreed! Just listen to him in this interview and his respect for the craft alone shows what type of actor he is!
Roddy McDowell played three different characters in the franchise, hopefully Andy Serkis can take on a different character in the next films too.
I was hoping the same as well - That in the next movies that Andy Serkis would play his son Cornelius because I don't know who else could top Andy's performance in Planet of the Apes.
Amiah Miller was great in the film 👏
Its so weird seeing Andy's face and how he talks in real life and you can see Gollum in him
Matt and Andy gonna create one of best batman movie of all time with Robert Pattinson
wonder what it was like for amiah to get cast then get the script and not have any lines, she did brilliantly nonetheless
I'd love to see Planet Of The Mo-Cap Guys!!!
I am loving this Director Matt Reeves. What a treat it would be to work under his direction. The Batman is in great hands if Mr Reeves is in fact at the helm. #Salute
Steve Zahn is amazing.
There has never been a role he's played that I didn't enjoy fully.
(Especially in Saving Silverman. 👍😎)
Neil Diamond baby! 🤣
War for the planet of the apes is one of my favourite movies of all time.
Caesar for President
this is the best day, really feeling incredible, worth it 100% ... thank-you sooo much
Love this movie love b a d a p e.
39:54 Amiah's reaction lol
Amiah Miller just sits there being really cute.
The interviewer looks like Liverpool FC manager
Andy plays in the new movie black panther he got wild! 😉😆
I cannot help but to think of Caesar and his apes in any set of pronouns but those traditionally reserved for humans. I think thoughts such as, "He's a good man", and "His people," or "His wife and children." A scene in "Star Trek, TNG" where Picard is addressing, Worf, "You're the bravest man I have ever known". Worf is a Klingon. a member of an alien, non human race, but he is a Klingon man, not a human man. That's kind of how I perceive Caesar and his apes.
It's too bad that Roddy McDowell died it would've been great if him & Andy got to do interviews together since they both played Caesar.
Right? I think Roddy would have absolutely adored Andy. I know he would have been insane about performance capture, he would have wanted to know all the details about how to do it. Were he still living, I can completely envision him working with Andy at imaginarium as a very elderly ape in one of these movies and loving every single second of it. He would have been 95 this year, I really miss him. But Andy reminds me of Roddy in soooooooo many ways. I truly feel no one else could have done this role better, nor paid it better homage. Andy was the perfect choice. Andy was the only choice. ❤
Woody wears a Legion of Merit which is a medal generals get when they retire. Was the choice of medals just random or is the inference he's no longer in the actual military.
yay for iggy pop. also, i heart andy.
Poor Nova is mute even in interviews
Lol, why didn't they let her talk.
if I was in the movie raise dawn and war here how it would I would live with will and then cecer will be my ape and at the end of raise I woule be with cesar and dawn if kaba killed ash and try to kill cesar the its on war I would go on to what happened a the end the arrow hit cesar so I uod do it instead of the donkey
만도르르야! 너 지금 머 하~니?^^
내캉 술래잡기 하자카나, 만도르르야!
만두르르^^
I understand the director's enthusiasm, and I respect the work that he did. But there were times when I just thought to myself: "Will you please let the *actors* speak? Just *keep your mouth shut*!!" It was especially irritating when he would either answer a question for the actors or when he would interrupt them. Seriously, dude! *BE QUIET!!* I want to hear *Andy* answer the question. Same thing with Steve and Amiah. Matt didn't have to speak *all the time*.
I hate this interviewer. Trying to make EVERYTHING POLITICAL. News flash: Democrats dehumanize their opponents too! Jeez. Just look at the news cycles on CNN 24/7.
I don't hate him. But I did roll my eyes when he just *had* to bring up Trump. It's like he was chomping at the bit, waiting to jump at the chance to bring Trump into the mix.
