His Scottish accent in Tintin was also on point.
I'm SO glad the first thing I hear is that little bit about Golum
I feel half of the best perfomance winners in Oscar in the last 10yrs should give their award to Andy Serkis.
This man is truly talented and underrated.
With age, Andy came to look like Kenneth Branagh's twin brother.
BTW, Andy deserves a greater recogniton. Even putting his
performace capture career aside, he's still such a brilliant actor!
Do you mean Kenneth? 😁
@@DCK2017 OMG yes! My bad :) btw he's one of my favorite British actors. I don't know how I could mistake his name.
Definitely Andy brought Gollum to life and his performance was a masterpiece. It's a difficult role and he created an epic character that'll remain there forever. I always see Gollum when I see him. A true superstar. Definitely love his voice and he is 3rd on the all time best vocal artist after Mark Hamill & Kevin Conroy.
YES!!! Hopefully they can get Christian Bale for when "Vice" comes along!
He played Albert Einstein in a BBC drama with David Tennant. One of my favourites roles of his and they missed it.
Andy Serkis is easily the greatest character actor of our age.
Andy Serkis is one of just a handful of actors who can really play a wide range of characters and you believe he is the character, everytime. And the character doesn´t even need to be human. One of the best actors of all time.
The Bilbo meets Gollum part of Hobbit is probably one of the few good parts with that trilogy.
But what an amazing person and actor with an interesting career!
That trilogy was wildly disappointing . Bums me out.
@@maybeitswaybelline6555 agreed, and it's probably the only Hobbit on the big screen we'll get in a very long time. The riddles in the dark scenes were really amazing though
I honestly can't think of an actor who has played in more major franchises or more iconic roles than this man. And he's so good on top of it.
He deserve an a oscar.
FHS 7 Why?
Stank Nugget ‘Cause he’s a brilliant actor? Obviously.
@@colinjensen8303 obviously not brilliant enough
Wave Razor oscars don’t define someone’s credibility
Oscars are pointless. Just woke awards at this stage.
And now hes added Kino Loy of Andor to his credits. Phenomenal.
This is long over due. You sir are a national treasure.
Serkis was awesome as Ulysses Klaue, sucks they killed him off.
A victim of diversity i suppose. I was hoping to see him in Ant-Man
Thanos brings Klaue back to show him how to be a villain, here's hoping
At least this guy is directing the Venom sequel and in talks to play Alfred Pennyworth in *THE BATMAN*
Is he really dead though? He got shot off camera plus got his arm chopped off by a pissed robot. I think he has survivability on his side
@@trequor Sorry I don't speak alt right so that doesn't make any sense to me.
It's such a joy listening to talented performers like Andy Serkis talk about their craft.
I need three more hours of this, please
Hello gorgeous 🌹
Thanks for the beautiful comment, I'm so overwhelmed by your amazing words 🌹🌻💞🤗
If I ever meet this man I just want him talk like Gollum for the entire time lol
DIdn't had the chance to talk with him a lot about Gollum, I talked with him about Andor.
22:58 I remember watching Black Panther and thinking how great his acting is. He's not particularly jacked but his body language and gait were those of a bodybuilder... Andy Serkis is an absolute gem.
Andy Serkis is a clever guy!
(18:06) Andy and Martin V1
(22:28) Andy and Martin V2.
Same 2 people, 6 years on...
He literally plays 2 opposing characters and is still a legend 😂😂
What is taters precious?
Po-tay-toes! Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew.
When he says "raw" at 14:18 it instantly made me think of that scene and the part where he is talking about the fish.
One of my most useless talents is a pitch-perfect Gollum voice impersonation. It's a neverending source of amusement for me, even when it has long since become annoying for all of my friends.
Oh this reply made me laugh out so loud 😂 love it
14:17 “I was raw” but were you wriggling
Love Andy serkis he's such a good actor and seems kind and funny Man his dedication to roles is amazing just casually goes to Rwanda for research on gorillas. His love and dedication and enjoyment for what he does is lovely

We still want Tintin 2
This man is a genius and it astounds me how underrated he is. It's ridiculous.
2:00 he says 'lord of the rings was turning point in my career...',its one of my fav movies all time, with gollum most genuine ,best played character,i never knew this guy existed till black panther, where this guy stood out for me in acting!
If the Oscars had a category for Best Performance in Motion Capture, Andy Serkis would have won it more times than anyone else. LOTR, King Kong 2005, Planet of the Apes! Seriously this man has no bounds and I'm all here for it.
Yooooooo Andy Serkis is not even in my top 50 favourite actors, but when this popped up in my notification, I realised I wanted to see it MORE than my favourite actors! I've just had this revelation wowsers. Mad respect to Serkis, a legend for years to come 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Alberts stuff You have a list of top 50 actors?
@@stanknugget - lol no, I just said it to highlight the fact he was under rated 😁
I probably could sit down and make a list though! 👌🏻😂
Alberts stuff Come back here and post it when you’re done.
@@stanknugget - Nah can't be bothered lol
Alberts stuff finished your list yet? It's been 17 hours already hurry up!! 😂
Serkis is easily one of the greatest actors alive, truly extraordinary talent, the man literally mainstreamed performance capture.
Love you Andy. May you make as many more.
This guy is one of the best actor of this generation. Definitely the king of motion capture. And one of the few actors who truly deserve an Oscar.
He seems really chill
He also plays Alfred in The Batman 2022 alongside Robert Pattinson
5 years later and Animal Farm is still in development. IMDB says 2025, but there have been no recent announcements or casting other than Andy so who knows. I do hope it gets made one day
Would love to see Liam Neeson talk about his famous roles
George Rios all his roles post 2010 are the same lol, would be a short video
Well, in this one I was a badass sword fighter...another badass sword fighter...oh, this one, I was a badass with a GUN, so that was fun for me to explore
The Iceskating scene in Kong makes me weep every time...every time...
2:17 Peter Jackson must not know who Steve Buscemi is
🤭😳😳😳👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Lol. Imagine if they'd cast him without mocap. Great actor but would have been very bizarre
One of the most incredible and influential actors of all time. Also one of my favorites. He's so versatile and has just blown motion capture and performance capture acting out of the water. The fact that they essentially rendered technology just for his Gollum is absolutely insane. Planet of the Apes has now become a favorite movie series of mine and is no longer a joke because of him and the team behind it all is so cool. Thank you Andy Serkis 💕
