its kinda funny to me that jesse's behaviour kinda matches the tone of the show as it gets more and more serious, but it never comes off as unrealistic. when he's still more green and much more importantly SUPER strung out on meth at the beginning, he's idiotic and kinda zany and a loose cannon as you'd reasonably expect someone baking their brain regularly to be. As he matures (read: gets traumatized) and sobers up, his demeanour is such a far cry getting to season 5
@@grimreefer9324absolutely. We end up seeing that Jesse always had the potential and capacity for depth and wisdom, but none of those kind of traits materialize until he starts to really APPLY HIMSELF
It's kinda sad to see Marie crying tears of joy after finding out Walt will live longer then expected this episode, knowing her last words to him will be "Kill yourself, Walt ."
This episode kinda gives us a taste of what the show would be like if it were a normal TV series, with contained episodic narratives that are set-up and then resolved at the end without too much impact on the overall story. Yet among all the bombastic moments in later episodes, it's this simple, early-series victory between the two that El Camino fondly revisits. You can tell it left an impact on Vince.
The "Someone in the crew said that robot would be a funny line" gave me flashbacks to Bryan Cranston talking about how one time on Seinfeld a guy on the crew said that Bryan should take a hit of the laugh gas before giving it to whoever it was. I guess Bryan just attracts comedic crew lmao

I didn't actually read the title so I was very confused about why Hank punched Heisenwalter last episode but the next episode he's supporting him in hospital
Unfortunately as an electrical nerd there are two things that have always bothered me about Walt and Jesse's battery - it wouldn't have produced anywhere near enough current to crank the RV, and there weren't enough cells to make 12 volts (something Walt should know as you can predict the voltage a cell makes from the materials you use to build it - IIRC these were zinc-mercury cells as he used a zinc anode and mercuric oxide from the brake pads as the cathode, so they would have generated 1.35 volts each ). Also, the wire is far too thin. It could have been done but they would have needed a lot more cells (I'd have gone with 10, making 13v or so) and they would have needed to let it sit for a while for the charge to transfer into the RV's battery, this might have given it enough power to start. Still love the episode though.
That deleted scene where Jesse and Jane make a rain check for the Georgia O'Keefe museum shows that they were such a close couple, no wonder he thought about here even when he was going to Alaska.
