I remember Jonathan sitting next to Joni after Marcus died and said , his dad trained him to take over when he was no longer there, but its not that way ,an outsider took his dads place at Daystar. Doug weiss has his own ministry for 30 yrs , just because you marry a man dosnt give him the right to run the ministry Marcus trained Jonathan to take the mantel .
Absolutely agree! Joni is not the "host", she is the co-host. Doug's narcissistic personality has him taking over Minstry Now and Joni is allowing it..... pathetic!
Doug knows how to play minds , If Marcus knew back than ,that Joni would take Doug instead of there son to continue in this ministry , the will would had been written to protect from the devil that comes to kill , steal and destroy . I've also heard about that, too. Because I've been watching Daystar many years. It was so good to see Jonathan right beside his mother especially after his Dad's passing. I also remembered that during the funeral service Jonathan had said he'll take care of his mom.

I have a five year old son in Heaven after being treated for two and half years for leukemia, a husband that passed four years later and both of my parents have passed. The hardest lost for me was my son. I can say God was faithful through it all.

I am so sorry that they are not with you now, but you shall be with them again. My son also went to heaven, my only child, but before he left Jesus showed up and gave him a grand tour! He was so eager to leave after that.
@@valiana1975 As I was approaching my son's hospital bed my son was suddenly lifted up by his shoulders and turned toward me. He had sight in his eyes and as I proceeded to walk to the other side of his bed and greeted him he was then gently laid back down with his eyes closed never to open again in this lifetime. When I looked at him lying there I saw a big tear running down his left cheek. I got a paper towel and wiped that tear away. While all this was happening I physically was not comprehending he was dying. He was received just a short time later. I believe there were angels there with him ready to take him to his eternal home. I am most grateful to Lord Jesus for all He has done in bringing me through this ordeal. I give Him all the glory.
My first grandson (I have four daughters) died when he was 5 from an aggressive strain of meningitis in 20013. I saw him healthy and hearty Saturday afternoon and he was found dead in his bed the following morning(mothers day). Two years ago my daughter (his mum) had a near death experience during emergency surgery. She found herself at the edge of a meadow and saw her son on the other side. He was older, taller and stockier and his blonde hair had turned brown. He was grinning at her from ear to ear. She went to walk towards him but he shook his head to signal 'no' and held his palm up. It wasn't her time to cross over. God bless you Tiernan. We all miss you but know we'll meet up again in Heaven 🙏

@@hushpuppy8334Yep, I have respect for Jonathan and Suzy in being strong enough to listen to guidance from the Holy Spirit and separating themselves from this situation.
My husband passed with Covid in early 2021. We were married 43 years and we both had Covid during our 43td anniversary. He passed away later that same month. My heart was broken into a million pieces! I’m still not over it and it’s been over 3 years. I’m so very lonely although I know the Lord is with me but I still feel so much loneliness. I still cry everyday because I miss my husband. He’s in heaven waiting for me I know. We served in ministry all our married life. Life is so different now. My dad passed away 9 months after my husband and my twin sister passed away last year but losing my husband has been the most difficult and painful thing I’ve ever gone thru. I’ve had 2 open heart surgeries and pacemaker put in but through all the surgeries and illness, nothing compares to my broken heart. I know Jesus is coming back very soon and I hold on to that hope when I will finally be whole again.

The pain is real and loosing a loved one is devastating however you decided to stay in your pain or Jesus to heal you completely. The Bible says we should not be like people who do not have knowledge about the people who passed on. Staying unmarried is not a sign that you loved them dearly but it’s a choice that everyone should respect. The Bible specifies when should people be listed in the widow list . If you are still young Marry than commit sin .
You'll be whole when you LET GO OF THE PAIN and SURRENDER TO JESUS.
I say the following Scripture almost everyday - especially during this SPIRITUAL WAR we're fighting - and it always quiets my mind and heart:
"Be anxious (worrisome, fearful) for NOTHING, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and the PEACE of God, which transcends ALL understanding, WILL GUARD YOUR HEART and MIND in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
I was widowed more than 20 years ago (my husband was an alcoholic) and then remarried and divorced by a man who cheated on me twice. Most of my family is gone and the family I have left lives out of state. I am never lonely because Jesus is always with me.
During COVID the Lord brought a wonderful man into my life. We just celebrated our third anniversary. (The man who cheated on me died a couple of years ago.)

I would love to talk to you and encourage you. Your husband is having a GREAT time with Jesus! He is not sad and does not miss you. He LOVES you and he THINKS of you OFTEN. He and the Lord do NOT want you to be lonely. However, in order for you to be happy, you have to open your heart, surrender your pain and let the Lord fill you with his love, peace and joy.
The Lord also may have someone else with whom to spend the rest of your life, but you will never be able to receive that person until you LET GO and SURRENDER your pain to Jesus. ❤✝️🙏

Joni thank you for your story, I lost my Mom in 2023 and I ended up suppressing my feelings while still working daily my body started swelling from fluid overload, I was in the Hospital from April-June, well on May 6,2023 I flatlined 5 times God raised me up and put my heart back together again! The body keeps score. So when we don’t heal completely, the emotional or mental hurt, grief, & pain will affect us physically. Furthermore, some wounds only God can heal them so we have to learn to let go and let God do what only He can do🙏🏽

I went through an incredible stressful time and I am 73 and have finished my first book. God has a plan and it doesn’t matter what your age. My book is being published by TBN division and I already have a second book in thought after this one. I will write 6 books, God willing. His words I’m just the facilitator

There is just something about Dr. Weiss that doesn't sit well with me. He has a lot of innuendos in his conversation not suitable for Christian TV. He certainly is no Marcus Lamb. Jonathon and his family were not ready for another man in their father's chair.

Personally I feel his ex-wife Lisa has the right to privacy. She is a private individual, she did not ask for her life to be blasted on international christian television. Joni and Doug chose to display their engagement, lavish wedding and reception on international christian television and social media. They should have kept it private (not a secret) and not have Doug taking the host seat. He could have supported her just as easily from behind the camera.

Had no idea Marcus passed away til now. Losing a husband or wife can be a definite difficult storm. I'm so sorry to hear of Joni and her kids loss and my condolences go out to you all.
My greatest storm was losing my oldest child in August of 2020 unexpectedly. She had just turned 33 the month before. She left behind two daughters. I was completely numb for 2 1/2 years. Its still a deep struggle but I know the Lord has been carrying me through it all and still. I believe she's waiting for me in heaven and I look ever so forward to the reunion.

Joni, i remember being introduced to you and Marcus at Mike Evan's church in Euless. You were considering moving to the Dallas Ft Worth area. It has been a long walk through the years. The Lord never gave up on me, even when i gave up on me. Thank you,Joni, and thank God for his love and metcy during our growing up years of almost overwhelming responsibilities. It concerns me that she married so quickly. Women can feel very vulnerable & alone at this time but it isn't the time to make life choices. Grieving properly takes time. Women are strong and you might find out how much you truly like being single. It's easy to find someone but the right one takes time.
Agree! Any good counselor (Doug's a counselor!) will suggest you don't make any life changes for a minimum of one year after the death of a spouse or a divorce.
I talked to a marriage counselor before and she even mentioned that after a year most that are divorced begin dating again...although Joni's situation is a little different, it's actually quite common. Most of the time, what we think things should look like isn't what God is actually doing. That's what I have learned...He can expedite the grief process. I also believe someone like Joni who has this type of ministry, honestly shouldn't be without a spouse. Similar to a male pastor not being single. You could also think of it this way, Marcus probably wouldn't want Joni to be single for the rest of her life or not live an abundant life just because he is gone. Life has to be lived regardless if one loses their spouse. Also, if you watch one of the recent videos, God brought Doug into her life after a year and they had counsel around them during the courting phase.🙂
Also both Marcus and Joni knew Doug , he was on there show and also counseled them , so Doug knew what he was doing , if he were a Christian counselor and Christian man , he would had giving her ample time to grieve, heal , and get on her feet ,and far nothing take advantage of her weak self , if true , my mother was 39 yrs old when my father passed at 40 , left with four young children , house , cars , stay at home mother , and a Christian , I remember my grandmother came helped with us kids , for almost 2 years , but our mother put children first died 96 yrs old , never remarried, Doug left his wife to marry Joni , if they were so spilt in there marriage why didn’t he leave years ago there marriage, Doug and his wife were marriage counselors , come on can’t save ur own marriage , your in wrong business close the doors , fishy story there telling , truth will be revealed.

I lost my husband November 16th, 2021. I agree, that serving and encouraging others while sharing your story and listening to others stories is a great way to cope and get through things. That is exactly what I did and do, and will continue to do. Of course daily opportunities came up to pray for others. My daughter and me had many supporting us through prayer. I thank God for helping us to grow and move forward in life. So many friendships and relationships have come out of the heart aches.
True! Serving and testifying help us to cope with our own pains and it also encourage others that might be going through similar lost.

I lost my husband in 2022 which would have been our 40 year anniversary. I am praying that God will put my heart back together and praying for my next soulmate that God has chosen for me.

Was so sad Brother Marcus passed. I took it harder when Brother Marcus passed than I did when Paul Crouch of TBN passed. Im so sorry that Jonathan and Suzie and kids for some reason no longer seems to be apart of this as I would think Brother Marcus would have wanted his only begotten son to carry on this ministry. I thank God for Brother Marcus and the old times I always watched Daystar before Brother Marcus passed.
@Lynnjoh Jonathon is Vice President of Daystar and is running the network. He hasn't gone anywhere. Joni's husband has no say in the network so Jonathon has his hands full.

He's still on social media, says while there aren't plans yet to go back on tv he's taking his duties as Vice President very seriously. He said this on social media. He's clear there are no plans to leave Daystar. He still goes to the house and Susie also has her duties. His Vice Presidency, and the lack of any stake or administrative duties by Joni's husband, are simply facts. It's only a problem if you WANT there to be fighting and offense. But those are the facts nonetheless. And they have a right to privacy even if on TV. They don't owe you anything. What they DO share is grace to you, not their obligation.

Stop watching the Daystar channel; 2). Stop financially supporting Daystar. Doug has a narcissistic personality and is obsessed with sex, exercise, money and himself.
Joni fell for attention, charm and lust and has chosen Doug over God's Word and family.
The excitement of a new relationship and the honeymoon phase will pass and Joni will have to deal with any consequences from her recent choices. Doug will exhaust her emotionally and physically.

Im a widow now 5 yrs. and I’m still grieving and missing him. I would never remarry again. I’m a one man woman.!Others Can marry if they want.that’s up to them. I was happily married 53 yrs. we had 4 children. All grown now, but for me there will never be another man. He was the love of my life. Now all I want to do is seek the Lord and grow in His Word and serve Him. For me the problem is all happened to soon. And he just divorced?
He’s divorced and not free to remarry - that’s the point. Whether Joni is grieving as a widow or not.

When someone has a wonderful day after being very sick, it is called rallying and the family has relief thinking the person is better but then they pass onto heaven. It is a common occurance.
Thank you Joni Lamb ❤ it will be 2 years this August my mama has passed. I never thought i would have to live without her. This has been my biggest storm , my heart is broken and i miss her like crazy but God has been my Rock! GOD HAS BEEN HOLDING MY HAND THRU THIS STORM. HE GAVE ME PEACE TO MAKE IT THRU EVERYDAY. I COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT HIM.

Thank you for the opportunity to ask as so many here have; but did Dr. Doug divorce his wife out of convenience? I think I understand his previous marriage was difficult, but that doesn't qualify Biblically. Mat. 19:9 Divorce is permitted only on the grounds of sexual immorality.
It couldn't have been that difficult. When he was a guest on Joni Table Talk (Sexless and Married / May 28, 2019) he spoke very highly of Lisa, including share that she's a great wife, she knows how to please him and the sex is wow.

The word is very clear on acceptable living. Adultery is sin and more so for someone in ministry who should be held to a higher standard. Daystar is all about money only
we should boycott watching it - subscribing to it -I'm not sure how it works because I don't have satellite tv but basically stop watching it and supporting daystar and their glossy version of christianity

May I suggest you watch this episode as in the shoes of someone who is not familiar with you? Your daughters were very gracious as you cut them off when they were asked to speak and you had your back to them most of the time. The person on the other side of your daughters was all but ignored. Maybe adjust the number of guests you have so no one is left out?
Believe me, Rebecca gets enough words in. If anything, Joni gives the daughters too much air time. The panel is stacked with "yes" women. They never give an opposing/alternate view.
