Then they were cut off by the record company for not meeting a quota. No more Gamma records were recorded or sold. Then Ronnie Montrose started a band called Montrose and Gamma was almost forgotten. When Tatiana comes in with her angelic voice, and Eugene starts that pretty bass line, that is one of the most beautiful snippets of melody ever. Also, I love that Jinjer are always a band. Brilliant, virtuoso musicians, but nobody tries to outshine the rest.
People get shocked by her voice and they miss how awesome the band in whole is. Guitarist is insane, bass player is even more insane and the drummer... damn! Gotta give credit for the whole band.

Excellent reaction! Older Jinjer is good, but I do feel they have grown better with time. I think that, in the beginning, they were a metal band, but with age they gained a style that is unique to them.

Teacher Teacher is just perfection. It took me 10 times listening to pick up all the intricate details in this song, the smooth tempo changes, the singing styles that switch on a dime. You could stop the vid every three seconds and have something to say.

Cloud factory for sure, but the official LIVE video is even better than the official video! And the live version has their "new" drummer Vlad playing it.

This took my song of the year for 2019. The epic multi-movement structure, vast range of textures, brain-engaging angular timings switching into huge-sounding 4/4 singalong chorus (even is Vlad *is* doing his best to keep your ear guessing whether it is actually 4/4 on the drums!), great metaphorical lyrics.... & when she comes back in with that tender vocal after the genius chilled Roman-doing-long-delay-chords-for-soundscape-on-guitar & Eugene-fingertapping-melody-with-his-right-hand-while-keeping-the-low-end-going-with-his-left-on-the-bass section.... well, I get a little emotional.... & that is *wild* for a song which has a couple of blastbeat sections!! #AmazingComposition :)

BTW, there is a new live video for Retrospection that they just released too, though the official video is one of their best with lots of great behind the scenes stuff and even baby pictures. @@janfransson5910 The sound is better than a lot of venues, but not quite where I'm used to from the stuff Napalm Records does. Still her performance is epic and I just always feel an edge of intensity in their live performances which the official stuff as good as it is can't match for me.

In most cases I think it's better to hear the studio version before the live version, just to know what the live version is based on, and understand what the differences between the two versions are. As always, there are exceptions, like Perennial. :)
I agree with you 100% on the blast beats. I've never really liked them until I heard Jinjer's drummer (Vlad) do them. I love his blast beats. Even more, I love his ghost notes, he is a master at them. If you like hearing ghost notes, do their song "Retrospection" official video. I've got tons more song suggestions, but I need to get to bed, just got home from work. I was waiting to get home to watch your video. You guys are awesome!

It's fortunate that you liked the blast beat parts, because they use them a lot. Sometimes perfectly, sometimes needlessly, but you're definitely going to hear more of them if you keep on the Jinjer train.

Jinjer and Unleash the Archers are my two favorite bands, it's cool to see someone react to both pretty early on (and seemingly love both). I actually found Jinjer because I listened to UtA. They're on the same record label and I kept seeing the thumbnail for Pisces in my recommended videos so I eventually clicked it and fell in love immediately.
I love it. You're experiencing exactly what I did when I discovered Jinjer. They're my favorite all time band. I'd suggest Pit of Consciousness Live in Kiev. It's a live version of my favorite song.

The epic multi-movement structure, vast range of textures, brain-engaging angular timings switching into huge-sounding 4/4 singalong chorus (even is Vlad *is* doing his best to keep your ear guessing whether it is actually 4/4 on the drums!), great metaphorical lyrics.... & when she comes back in with that tender vocal after the genius chilled Roman-doing-long-delay-chords-for-soundscape-on-guitar & Eugene-fingertapping-melody-with-his-right-hand-while-keeping-the-low-end-going-with-his-left-on-the-bass section.... well, I get a little emotional.... & that is *wild* for a song which has a couple of blastbeat sections!! #AmazingComposition :)

@@janfransson5910 The sound is better than a lot of venues, but not quite where I'm used to from the stuff Napalm Records does. Still her performance is epic and I just always feel an edge of intensity in their live performances which the official stuff as good as it is can't match for me.
@@j.f.fisher5318 Agreed, I still prefer the official video in this case. In most cases I think it's better to hear the studio version before the live version, just to know what the live version is based on, and understand what the differences between the two versions are. As always, there are exceptions, like Perennial. :)

I agree with you 100% on the blast beats. I've never really liked them until I heard Jinjer's drummer (Vlad) do them. I love his blast beats. Even more, I love his ghost notes, he is a master at them. If you like hearing ghost notes, do their song "Retrospection" official video. I've got tons more song suggestions, but I need to get to bed, just got home from work. I was waiting to get home to watch your video. You guys are awesome!

It's fortunate that you liked the blast beat parts, because they use them a lot. Sometimes perfectly, sometimes needlessly, but you're definitely going to hear more of them if you keep on the Jinjer train.

Jinjer and Unleash the Archers are my two favorite bands, it's cool to see someone react to both pretty early on (and seemingly love both). I actually found Jinjer because I listened to UtA. They're on the same record label and I kept seeing the thumbnail for Pisces in my recommended videos so I eventually clicked it and fell in love immediately.

Edit: once I see you are really into the band, I'll recommend two kinda underrated songs that aren't usually requested for reactions. "Words of Wisdom" and "Exposed as a Liar".
