Government officials eyeing Karuma muck stones - NEMA

The National Environment Management Authority has asked cabinet to urgently take a decision on usage of the contentious muck stones excavated from the underground tunnels at Karuma Hydro power project.
NEMA officials told NTV that some unscrupulous government officials were fronting private companies to demand certificates from NEMA to sell the valuable stones at the expense of government projects.
