I take you to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point - Full Review

I take you to Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas.

If you are taking a Disney Cruise you might get to experience Disney New Private Island. Ok, it's not technically a private island, the Disney tropical getaway is located on one of the 700 island in the Bahamas. Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a tropical paradise, with history, culture, traditional Bahamian music, Junkanoo, local Bahamian crafts and so much more.
Disney and the Bahamian government have done a fantastic job with this new destination. I want to make sure you understand the direction Disney Cruise Line took with this new Caribbean Destination. This is not a theme park. The idea was to let families enjoy the culture, natural surroundings, and heritage of the Bahamas.
What not to miss at Disney's Lookout Point:
1. Be ready to walk. The walk from the Disney cruise ship to the tram stop at lookout Point is 10 minutes if you walk quickly.
2. You need shoes. The island has beautiful flowing boardwalks that keep the habitats of the animals that live on the island undisturbed. These boardwalks can get very hot. You need some type of footware especially for your kids.
3. Enjoy the Beach at Lookout Cay. This is one of the best cruise line island beaches I have seen. If you have been to Turks and Caicos this beach is very similar and amazing. White sand with pink hues that you can see during the golden hour. The beach is very long and wide. The water entry and shallow and clean and perfect for families and children.
4. Snorkeling at Disney's Lookout Cay is lots of fun. The reefs are literally 50 yards from the shore. I did snorkel and will post a video on that soon.
5. The Cabanas at Lighthouse Point. There are cabanas for rent right when you walk off the cruise ship (Family Cabanas). These are nice and you will see them in this lookout cay review video. There are two sizes and I tour and review both Disney cabanas here.
I also take you to Serenity Bay (18 and up) Disney adult area. The Cabanas here are the same layout as the smaller family cabanas. I like the Disney Cabanas at Serenity Bay because they are where everything else is located.
