Watching November 2024. I've played just about every game worth a damn from 1998 to now. I'm 38. I gotta say, I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the greatest games ever made, for it's time especially, and brutally underappreciated. The graphics, the music, the scope, the gameplay, replayability, satisfaction of progression, authentic eastern atmosphere, artistic value, characters, levels, enemies, bosses, weapons, and, above all, badass factor. All off the charts. Never has been and never is going to be equaled.
This is one of the greatest. As shown in the final moments of NGB's credits: _"Team NINJA would like to express our utmost appreciation and respect for the creators of one of the true classic games of our time."_ (referring to the epic classic trilogy of Ninja Gaiden). Well, they certainly made one of the true classic games of our time, as well.
It’s interesting that they had a different version of the Doku intro scene with Ryu’s Black Falcon design, since in game he has the regular dark blue ninja gear.
I noticed they used that version of the scene as the background for the Mission briefing screen, but I wondered why they would have even bothered rendering it. Now I know it came from the trailer.
Possibly the BEST game ever released on the OG Xbox (IMHO). Yes Halo was released as well, but for some reason, NG always stuck out as my most favorite and best OG XBox game ever released. And then BG Black was released that topped it (except it DID remove the 3 OG NES NG games and gave us the OG Arcade version of it). Loved this game. I can't play it anymore because my XBox says the disc is too scratched. And I don't have the Black edition anymore. I sold it and I wish I never did. Ugh!
I loved Halo, but Ninja Gaiden was the game I was most excited about. I preferred the original release over Black, because Black kind of cut things down a bit in terms of finding items, and because I liked that the final boss was so easy in the original version. It made me feel like all the difficulty of the game was given a sense of relief at the end when I could just burn through the final boss so quickly. I just loved the empowerment that it gave me. But I still loved Black as it introduced the Lunar staff, which was such a fun weapon to use, probably just as fun as the Vigoorian Flail.
Happy 20 years ninja Gaiden!

This was the first trailer I saw for it. I'm glad to have found it. Thanks.
I can tell that some CG’s have changed slightly from the final game ,but still cool to watch on HD
It's not HD it's SD 😂

Probably the hardest modern game ever made besides Sekiro, of course Dark Souls and Shinobi (2002).
