Hey bro… I just really wanna know that how many days you get as summer and winter vacation… I heard it’s like 2.5 months summer and 1 month winters… which so good to be true… what is it for MIT
I heard the same too. But as of now, we're still shifting from the COVID affected calender back to the normal one. So it's as if we have no holidays. But I guess we've shifted well enough now and if everything goes well, we should get a winter vacation. Just hoping for the best.
EEE is an old branch. CPS just came this year. So no one can be sure of how the branch would be. But it comes under Electrical department as well. Just do some research on the branch. Hey. I'm in IT. I've heard the seniors say the mechanical branch is not very good. And also if you're focused on placements, then always go for CSE as mechanical placements won't be comparable to CSE anywhere.

Bhaiya are placements for the ECE branch good ? And how much should I study to upgrade my branch after first year .. please tell .. btw very nice video 👌
Hey. The placements are very good for ECE. Some companies allow ECE people to sit for placements along with CSE people. So overall it's very good. To upgrade, you'll need a CGPA above 9. It's not very hard to achieve. You'll need some consistency that's all. All The Best
Hey if u focus on placements then CSE is always the choice. But if you're interested in the subject and u want to go for masters and not care about placements then go for mechatronics.
Just focus well in ur first year. The bookings for second year hostels will depend on ur CGPA. So if u need AC room then you'll have to study a bit. It's not tough but don't neglect. Nothing more than this. Have fun.. All the Best
Blocks 5 and 6 have triple and double sharing rooms. They are like the old school hostels without AC, common bathrooms and all. Blocks 16,17 have single and double rooms. Both AC and non AC with attached bathrooms and not common bathrooms. Blocks 19,20 have 2 rooms with a common kitchen forming a unit and there are several such units. So u can choose what's best for u based on This.
Hey, toughness depends on how u plan ur schedules. The studies are not very hectic. If u can get a cgpa of 9 and above (could be lower too. But I'm telling u the safer option, these numbers are accd to what I think so please do not take them literally), you should be safe for a branch upgrade. But if u are not very good at academics, then it will be risky to depend on the upgrade.

Hey man. College and school are very different. But yeah I studied 11th and 12th properly and that was a very big help to me. But, the toughest part of college is to keep yourself from distractions. If u can do that with a fixed routine then you'll rock. All the best
My son has got admitted in cyber physical systems - a new course... And about extensive usage of drugs usage, . is what we hear.. Is it true.. Ur comments
As you mentioned, the course on cyber-physical systems is new. If I'm not mistaken, it came this year, so I don't think anybody can tell how the course is. And the talks about drug usage have always been there about Manipal. I've seen people who had the habit of drinking before coming to college, people who got addicted to drugs and alcohol after coming and some who never got involved in any of those. Personally, I don't drink or smoke or do drugs. I've been asked to drink and smoke before. And I refused, I was never forced into anything. Due to several pubs around, it's easier to get such stuff but it's completely your decision if you want to do it or not. All the best to your son.
I've heard Data Science course has been structured very well. I don't have much info on how the teaching is. Data Science is a very specialised branch. I would recommend u take generalised branches like CS if u get instead of data science for undergrad. But then if u don't have better choices or you're interested in the field. Then take it by all means. It will be worth it.
I would say IT. The only reason being DSE is a very specialised branch and it's best to have as generalised a branch as possible for undergrad. But it depends on ur interest too. If you are really interested in DSE then go for it. And also just saying, don't reply to old comments as somehow youtube doesn't show them. Just put up a new comment I'll reply faster or else I'll have to manually search
Hey. The labs and all are world class and MIT has several foreign partner unis. There are several research opportunities should u choose to go in the path. So in that sense, it's good enough. Though I have 0 clue about the placements. If u need a good placement, choose a better branch. Definitely biotech is not the way to go
Electronics and Instrumentation is a good branch. Idk about the placement offers given. But ik that Wipro, Flipkart, TCS, Deloitte etc are the recruiters
If you have no better options, then go for this one. As there's always a chance to upgrade yourself either after the intra sliding round or after the first year with a good cgpa. And also CCE is not a very bad branch in itself. Statistically it has the same placements as CSE and IT. So there is no problem there.
Just check the previous year's cutoffs. They give you an idea of the branch you would get. The cutoffs usually won't change much but usually it's around ±1k variation.
