Yes please!!!!!! Veteran experience and has always made some Plays for us ! I’ll never forget that 1-handed pick against Seattle and then the game- winning PD against the Rams when we won our first game that season.
I do like maye a lot, he was my favorite jets player on those teams a few years ago. I do think between converse and key one will step up as a decent 4th safety but maye elevates that floor as safety 4 after adams, clark and davis
It’s crazy him and Adam’s are vets now, I remember drafting them and being so hyped as a younger man 😂 I thought the duo was gonna be nasty. Our defense was fun during that era. The dancing pre-play game holds a special place in my heart. 🥲✈️

I always felt like when Maye was let go, it derailed the Jets safety room and his career.

I feel like the Jets are skating on thin ice with all these guys they’ve signed coming off injuries or historically injured a lot, and with their financial situation I’d sit on what we have in the safety room because after they sign their draft picks, they will only have about 5 mil in the till. I know they can renegotiate contracts and trade guys and so forth, but can we stop kicking the can down the road? Who knows, maybe a udfa ends up filling a spot in that room.

Yeah, he’s great. Puts on a youth camp down in his hometown of Melbourne FL. My son was a participant this year. Loved in the community

Maye knows the Jets system and can play both safety positions, so I think he would be a good fit for the right price. I wouldn't give him more than the Veterans minimum and one year

I think Maye would be a nice addition to a secondary that is much stronger now than when he played here. He can also mentor Tony Adams.

The only negative thing I can say about Tony Adams is he gets injured a little too often. I not very confident Adams Isn’t going to get injured this season. I’m not very high on Davis, he’s very inconsistent with his tackling.

In single syllable words HELL NO ! The Reason ? Character Issues. The Jets got lucky when the crap went down after they cut him. The Jets are fairly deep at safety. If the need another body give a shot to a UDFA that will appreciate and value the opportunity!

As a passionate fan who stuck through our recent years. I just feel like watching him be a part of that degenerate locker room, then jump ship, then getting the suspension, and digressing in New Orleans... It's all changed my position on him. Let him go find a job somewhere else. I dont want him back now that we are in position to win and hes out of a job. We let every player who "wanted to walk" aka "were acting selfish" basically walk out the door regardless of their contracts because the Jets sucked and they wanted greener pastures. Go find your pastures.

He didn't. Diggs and Simmons are younger and better. That is why they cost more. Maye was with the Jets before and he costs less. Plus, he fits the system and adds a veteran presence.

No thx on Maye just not the same player anymore, we do need another guy at S even if it's a body for camp/insurance so a vet makes sense, unfortunately Simmons or Diggs will be pricey
