Glad to see you starting to take using a torch series James. Seen a guy years ago use a torch for hours, without gloves or mask of any kind and he had to go to the hospital for major burns. You don't notice them right away. Ok, back to the video.... HOOAH!!!

Working on black Betty Always my favorite video, but I thought you already put back the rear end already, just hopefully have it already to replace, thank much for the video james.
I did this work and filming last week there's another video coming next weekend but there's just so much work that has to be done yet.

Think I would have left that end piece on but maybe you know something I don't. I used Ospho Metal Treatment on my 84' International 9670 frame then painted the frame with a brush, using Rustoleum. Turned out better then I expected, that is for sure.

I agree as well, but the pieces are so expensive and some aren't available my parts list was 7k and it wasnt complete.

Looking good James. Hey just a suggestion. If you haven’t completely made up your mind I’d suggest Airliner suspension. My friend Wayne puts it on everything he can. Says nothing else rides like it
I was originally going to use patty the parts trucks airliner but its as worn out as the original so I don't know for sure which way im going

leave everything on rearend, unhook all attaching bolts, hoses, torque arms, cage brake, roll it out, jack stands up by air tanks, will have to adjust frame with forklift after removing the first axle, repeat.

Just out of curiosity and in no way a criticism why change the original air suspension?
its just so worn out, the replacement parts added up to thousands of dollars and a few pieces weren't available

@@JamesPretty Awesome I know a few years back Bruce Wilson did a will it start. On a Mormon cabover. In the Game's of Farm simulator 19 and 22 both the conventional and Mormon cabover was used to model for the TLX Phoenix and the TLX 9000 cabover.

James just my opinion but if Betty was my truck I would z cut the frame where the 5th wheel plate ended and add the new cutoff there…. Nothing like a stretched Marmon! My dad had one that was stretched I loved pulling that icebox up and down I95…. And the people who loved seeing her! Btw it was a 325 inch wheelbase road like a cloud

you're not wrong! if every single piece of the Hendrickson wasnt worn completely out and every part was available id maybe consider just repairing it, but after searching for months I was only able so source about 80% of the parts and the bill was well above 7k dollars. I have the 8bag. I like the simplicity of the 8 bag im not set in stone on it yet.. I just want to get the frame blasted painted and the sleeper replaced and the new tanks on. and then put some drive train in it.
