- This new webcam is perfect for making eye contact naturally when you're on a Zoom call (or Skype, Teams, etc call.) The iContact is a tiny webcam that you can place over the forehead of the person you're speaking with. The iContact camera is placed in the middle of your screen, and then you adjust your Zoom window to place the person's forehead behind the camera.
The VoxCast that I mentioned near the end of this video is the newest gadget for making this happen. I haven't evaluated it yet, but it's very promising.

Of course, both of these will work as teleprompters too, but I see the more common benefit as being able to see eye-to-eye on Zoom.

Use double sided tape to adhere your camera onto the screen. It is easy to remove without damaging your screen.
Are you talking about a regular webcam? That seems pretty heavy and it would need a flat back.

The iContact product is WAY overpriced, in my opinion.

I simply put my iPhone on a desktop tripod and use the “Continuity Camera” (Google “use iPhone as a webcam”) for 4K video recording.

This is too pricey.
True, it's a higher price than most above-screen webcams, but the iContact Camera is an investment in more engaging, memorable conversations that build trust. It's not just a webcam; its a tool to present the best you!
I bought something similar for $50 on the web
I use an AI software from descript and its fantastic but I only use it for single person meetings
I didn't realize Descript added Eyeline correction. That's great news. I'm using Veed.io to do that when I need to. Will Descript do it live or just with recordings. You mentioned "meetings" so I wasn't sure. Thanks!

Real eye contact includes natural breaks, conveying authenticity and comfort, unlike the constant stare of AI, which can feel unnatural and intense. Our iContactCamera is also more cost-effective and is compatible with most computers.
