Beautiful people. My ancestors from Scandanavia from some old photos look similar to these men. Are the Sami a long ago blend with Mongolia peoples I wonder.
im pretty shure the culture is somehow connected with the groenland people, the innu and the native miq- maq of canada. their faces and their clothe are really similar..........
Well, if not that close, somehow people in the arctic have and had a similar life style dure to the arctic climate. it sure do look the same to outsiders. :)
Actually, my great grandparents and my grandfather worked with reindeer at Newfoundland in 1908 with Mattie Mitchell, a well known native of the Mik-maq community there.
The book is only published in Norway as a paper book. There are no E-book release of this one. It can be ordered online from the publiseher at lagadus.org, though.
