    Im far from an expert, but I suspect the reason these nocturnal animals are being seen more and more throughout the day is due to the deforestation that you mention. Their usually prey is being wiped out and so they are having to hunt Caiman more and more which is forcing them to hunt Caiman whilst they (cold blooded) are sitting out in exposed land, trying to heat up. Just a thought.

    EVERY time I look at them, I just think OMG youre fuckin beautiful. It never gets old. Our beauty (if we have it) is the consequence of hours, weeks and even years of effort to try to look a certain way........their beauty is just an accidental bi-product of what they are, they 'roll out of bed' looking that good. I just fkn love them.

    The Jaguar (Jaguarius onca) is a big cat native only to South America, it is one of the only three living big cat species found in the New World, the others are the Puma (Puma concolor) and the Jaguarundi (Herpailurus yagouaroundi), it is the only extant species of the genus Jaguarius (New World Roaring Cats), which originated from North America and was more diverse while first appearing in the Early Pleistocene, the genus also has two other recognized species being the extinct American Lion (Jaguarius atrox) and the Yucatan Leopard (Jaguarius balamoides), this genus is in fact most closely related to the clouded leopards (genus Neofelis), to which the new world roaring cats (genus Jaguarius) shared a more recent common ancestor with during the early Pleistocene in Eastern Asia.

      You should go check the correct (and current) taxonomy. Jaguarundi and puma are NOT considered big cats. They don't belong to the Panthera genus.

    • @indyreno2933
      @indyreno2933 5 месяцев назад

      @danle3181, big cats are not defined by the genus Panthera, they are more correctly defined by the tribe Pantherini as a whole, there are actually eleven extant big cat species: the Asiatic Cheetah (Acinonyx venaticus), the African Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus), the Puma (Puma concolor), the Jaguarundi (Herpailurus yagouaroundi), the Leopard (Panthera pardus), the Lion (Panthera leo), the Tiger (Uncia tigris), the Ounce (Uncia uncia), the Northern Bohebao (Neofelis nebulosa), the Southern Bohebao (Neofelis diardi), and the Jaguar (Jaguarius onca).

    Please no one began to mispronounce these beautiful cats as "Jag•Wires" as this narrator so painfully does throughout this whole video 🤣

      The strongest bite RELATIVE to their size !!! Tigers and lions still have a stronger bite than jaguars. Check your facts and please, don't come with that 1500psi you see everywhere, that's pure fallacy. And btw, jaguars holding their breath longer than a dolphin ? Come on... You do REALLY not know what you are talking about. Stop your bs and go back to school... 🙄

      @@danle3181 Incorrect, I ll give one exemple but you can just google it. Lion bite force ~650psi, Jaguar bite force ~1650 psi. Its not a small difference.

    I believe that you mispronounce "Jaguar"... It is not pronounced "Jag-wire"

    • @LearnAboutAnimals
      @LearnAboutAnimals  Год назад

      The pronunciation "jagwire" for "jaguar" comes from a regional dialect in certain parts of the United States, particularly in the Southern states. This pronunciation variation is influenced by local accents and linguistic patterns. Different regions and communities often have their own unique pronunciations for certain words, and "jagwire" is one example of this regional variation.
      But you are correct. The normal way to say it, is Jag u ar.

    I dont Buy Black Panthers and Jaguars are the Same They may have Started off the Same Yet you Can see a Few Differences due to Evolution I Mean How many Lions Cheetahas Tigers in the World Look Different None the Closest is the Mountain Lion and Puma and the Difference is Tiny Caused by Evolution which also Changes the animals

    • @danle3181
      @danle3181 5 месяцев назад

      Panther is vernacular and may be used for several species. So, a black jaguar is exactly the same species as a "regular" jaguar. Stop spreading wrong information please.
