Chicken Satay and peanut sauce......Banging stuff.....You can always tell the quality of the Thai food by how many Thai people are eating at the restaurant. If its packed - Eat there.....If not - Avoid. Anyways great to see you're sampling all the local cuisine. Keep up the good work....and stay hydrated lol...Cheers
You cannot beat fresh made thai food. That papaya salad gives you a taste and well needed vitamins explosion in your body. I think i have to convince the wife we need to go on holiday to Thailand to celebrate our anniversry. But i think she will put me on a leash every evening when gooing out for a beer and a snack.
HI Darren Wow what a fantastic range of dishes you had 10/10. I love Satay to was that peanut dip that you had, Glad to see that everything is going well for you. Thank you for sharing.
I though you looked a bit rough this morning, DJ! 😂 Hope you and 'Belfast John' had a nice evening though. Food looks lovely, as always. Truly makes my mouth water. Thanks for the video and see you in the next one. 👍🤗
som tum and chicken great cure for a hangover. Get proper sticky rice with it in a bamboo pot. Dip it in som tum sauce, thai style. Just Be careful not to hit the slippery slope. Saw many a good guys out there lost to drink. Once you realise there is very little to do , its easy to fall into that trap. Keep active, and just do a couple of nights a week if possible
your right on the cheaper to eat out (or take away) than cook at home, I live with my Partner and 2 daughters and we cant cook at home for what we can eat at some of the good little restaurants we go to , yes there are some crazy over priced places , but if you get off the main streets (which youll learn) youll find some good ones .
Hi wish a great new year ahead ,hotter soon it will be,bike weather for sure, hope you enjoyng your apartment looks fab.Plz be carefull with the salt in thai sauces very high but tastes wonderfull .watched the morning glory vid would also love that for breaky too.Have you had the tom yung with prawns soup its amazing when done right or with meat if ya dont care for fish its spicey or order med TC Byee 4Now Thankyou for the vlogs there sweet to watch.
Hi, the papaya 🥗 salad looks delicious and the chicken and satay sauce amazing i love satay sauce could eat it all day long 😋 you will have to show us a closer look at the sea all the nice waves and the little boats on the sea 😊🥹
I’ll give that restaurant a try next time I’m out there Darren. There is a nice Thai restaurant on beach road next to Central shopping centre called Mae Sri Ruen that you might like.
Hey DJ, watched this earlier and have been craving thai food all day. We were in bangkok and Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai earlier this year, we have been to Thailand several times and i just want to go back for the food tonight, now!!!!!
Hi Darren, the Som Tum, sounds so very nice. 🎉 I'm not a fan of Pad Thai too. I don't like Rice Noodles. But i love spicy 🔥 🥵 food. Maybe like you suggested Medium Heat for spice. 🎉😍
7:00 Did you dig into the Prik Nam Pla (?) condiment in the bowl at the bottom left of the screen too? I like your eating method - a mouthful of each dish and then reflection. It turns eating into a thankful ritual 👍.
All that Food and a drink for just £9 UK pounds !!! WOW what a dream!! Keep going DJ. I'm sure UK price would be around £27.00 and it wouldn't taste as good. [pesky flies]...
Food looks divine, drinks you had looked good. + you said so fresh but that fly was going in your salad bowl over 6 min mark-not so fresh like it was at the start! + very good it is open 24 hours as well 👍🏻
Try the Akvavit Restaraunt on Jomtien Beach Rd especialy good at Sunset, maybe near Soi3 And i bet you will be trying Indian by Nature on the way to Jomtien😊
Hi Darren, Great video, I've mentioned before I've lived here for 20 years, the other day I had a papaya salad for the first time after seeing you enjoy one, absolutely great. I'm 84 and rarely eat out these days the prices here on Koh Samui are about 40% higher than Pattaya and the food her is generally not as good. My Thai wife and I have a favourite Thai restaurant, meal for two costs us 1,200 to 2,000 baht but that includes a beer or two, and maybe a cocktail, it is very good food. M
Howdy from Australia 🇦🇺 😅❤ Wow 👌 👏 amazing dishes...just wondering 🤔 do you dream about food Darren? 😅 Fantastic food review DJ 👌 😋 in Thailand 🇹🇭 take care Hugs Helen in Australia ❤🎉
Yum, lovely chicken satay. And slurpy noodles. Can't beat it. But you can't eat all that every day. You need to choose one meal not three. Lol. And remember the fruit.👍😀
Loving the fresh videos. Can i call you Darren? i just feel a bit silly calling you DJ. I know its probably just me being silly 🙂 However Darren, it looks like your meal had lots of lovely spicing going on. The wooden shack location looks quite cool and looks to be very relaxing . It looks a nice choice for a balmy, casual afternoon. I love that they cook from fresh in Asia. The food was so cheap and much of the food there in Thailand is actually clean, fresh, healthy and nutritious.
Looked lush that. Enjoyed your London stuff and on your recommendation visited Humble Crumble on our last visit to the big smoke, lush. May have to save up for a trip to Thailand now!
If you like seafood, Darren, try the Pupen Seafood restaurant along the Jomtien front. Its always busy with the locals so ya know it's good. All the best 👍🏻
I would highly recommend from the street vendors , papaya salad , grilled chicken and a pack of sticky rice, it’s an absolute beast of a dish and highly traditional. You’ll usually see the street vendors selling this only not restaurants
I'd have gone for a smaller kitchen in the apartment 😂 why cook at home when there's food like that on the doorstep, and so cheap!! As the saying goes "you can't make it for that". Loving the videos now, especially now there's a spring in your step!!
Wow that looked good. I adore papaya salad. But find I have to spend alot of time worshipping the great white porcelain Bhudda. I said I previous comment a place News steak and grill. It's superb. Good Indian not to far away. Indian by nature. Along jomtiem look at sea turn left. Half hour walk you'll find the best Thai seafood restaurants ever. Praneat and Bann Balinga. Good. Enjoy.

Because of your videos me and the wife are planning a trip to Thailand 🇹🇭

Take up golf. Gives you a reason to get away 4 hours in the afternoon. Gents clubs available with free buffet midday.
