- We all know how the west was won - rugged individualism, a bold and daring approach to the new frontier, and a fierce belief in personal liberty and independence. But that does not describe the west or, more specifically, America any longer. We’ve traded individualism for collectivism, risk-taking for easy handouts, and liberty for big brother.
My guest today, Axel Kaiser, makes the case against leftist ideology, why America is the last glimmer of hope in the world, and how a basic understanding of economics could free us all. Today, we talk about public debt and entitlement, whether the leftist ideology that permeates our culture is based in ignorance, stupidity, or malice, why the meritocracy isn’t a representation of power hierarchies, and how, if we continue down this path, we may see a new age of darkness.

I agree that children need values and not being told that whatever people "feel" is real is necessarily real. Facts and evidence matter. That alone should rule out all religions btw.

Just started this episode, looking forward to it. I wonder if you’ll talk about Bitcoin, it is the perfect embodiment true capitalism and the American values.
In CA in Los Angeles students dressed like cats and dogs and acting like such. Parents asking school for kitty litters for their kid. This is tru! Shows how insane USA is gone. So sad.

I'm not a fan of Axel, but I find interesting to hear what he thinks of what's happening in the West, nevertheless, he once said; "If we lose the USA, we lose the Western world", so that's why we need Donald Trump for America. Besides, the more you listen to him, the wiser you are, greetings from Chile.
That is not quite the definition of socialism. This makes it easier to oppose, which is the lowest form of trick from a politician: the strawman. Socialism is just putting the means of production in the hands of workers, which could be public, state, government or even union-centered. This also means the weakening of the power of capital, which is OP in a capitalist economy, and we see this ends up with the concentration of wealth.

The Oxford dictionary says: "Socialsm a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole". Axel's comment on his "new Socialism concept suggestion" and his example on paying taxes etc is equal to "Socialism", it is something that I heard lately (10 years ish) from other people... Now, the Host puts gender indentity into the mix.... So these guys take those concepts put them in a blender and confuse everyone... good luck watching this video. I am stopping otherwise I would end up believing in a flat Earth 🙂.
What he says is not that taxes by themselves are socialism, actually I think he is minarquist. But if you see some countries like Argentina where you pay more than half of what you produce to achieve "redistribution", "right to sexual education" and so on... Well that's socialism. And you can see Argentina as a perfect example.
