Man Chris Connelly sounds so good in this video, crazy! This sums up my high school years, seeing both those bands on multiple occasions. Love this popped on my feed ❤. Nostalgia overload.
I found this video only knowing Understanding In A Car Crash, but one song Thursday plays here really captivated me but I couldn't find it's name. I finally found This Side of Brightness, and it is exactly what I needed to get me through these dark times. Good music prevails.
Wow I was absolutely at this show and have the ticket stub somewhere to prove it lol. Thank you infinitely for posting this. And thank you for the high school nostalgia / trip down memory lane
Man I'm so freaking jealous I wasn't at this show. I grew up in so cal and was listening to Thursday and STD a ton around this time. I have a many regrets and one is never seeing Thursday and Rufio or Finch live. I have seen STD tho but like in 2006 and 2014. Didn't get to see them with the original lineup. So sad...dang. I'm legit bummed after watching this. Haha oh well
So cool! I saw them I think in 2002 or 03 when I was about 16 but couldn't find anything about the shows anywhere, just this video and it made me so happy!
@@VeganMayhemSari i still live in the central jersey area. Tons of good shows still at places like starland ballroom and asbury park as well. But who knows whats going to happen now after covid 😣
Saves the day look like they’re having a fucking blast here. In CSD and TBC vids they look like they’re trying so hard to be cool and while stay what you are isn’t my favorite album of theirs by a long shot I feel like this is when saves the day really came into their own even if it’s not what I personally listen to them for
nails on a chalk board with thursday... always hated that bands singer.. never understood how they even were regarded as the "geniuses" of melodic hardcore. LOVE saves the day though
Such an underrated era for saves the day. Chris vocals are amazing here
Totally. 2001 STD was a legendary era.
@@VeganMayhemSari saw them on the Weezer tour, amazing

What a legendary gig for that scene in that era.
I saw saves the day right around this time for the first time, they've been my favorite band ever since

Pure gold, what a magical time
I went to this tour in Chicago when I was 17 and skipped school the next day. Thanks for the nostalgia 💕💕💕💕

Anyone who saw saves the day around this time was truly lucky, it was lightning in a bottle, just magical

I’m so glad you’re happy! I’ve been holding onto these videos for the last 19 years, so it’s nice to know people are looking for them!
Club Krome and Birch Hill had the best shows. Miss these days.
They really did have the best shows. Viewing a Birch Hill flyer today, it's hard to believe the acts that would come in a single month!

This is fire.
Oh to be there

Glad you enjoyed it!!!
I was at this show and it’s still my favorite show to date. 16 seeing saves the day and thursday in new jersey 3 months after 9/11. what a scene
I vividly remember being in the front row getting wrecked at this show! Xo. The fucking best scene.
Last good tour they had. 98-01 great times.
