- It's wonderful how some wool and pipe cleaners can transform into a realistic needle felted bunny sculpture. This time lapse tutorial will show you the entire process and demonstrate the steps you need to make your own cute wild rabbit.
This video includes - pipe cleaner armature, wrapping wool, adding wool shapes to build the body, making paws, creating a head with face detail, adding wool eyes and lovely long bunny ears, attaching the ears and head, making a cute fluffy tail, reverse felting for fluffy fur, adding a darker shade for more realism and adding horsehair whiskers.
I chose some beautiful rabbit coloured wools that resemble a real bunny (see below for links).

This is so beautiful! I am a beginner in needle felting and for now I enjoy to create bunnies and birds, I hope to one day make them look more realistic, as they still very much look like simple dolls. Thank you for this video, all those tips are amazing, like the reverse needle to make them look more woollen, that is great.

Thank you! 😊 I used carded slivers from Heidifeathers. Not sure what exact sheep breed. You can get different shades to resemble the real animal. They do a mix of 10 colours to try amzn.to/3wZi2b0
