When two knives are comparable but one of them for the price you can get a backup for your backup for your backup for your original knife it's kind of a no-brainer
Very good objective comparison video. But really, the Kershaw automatically wins simply for NOT being a Benchmade. And by the way Kershaw also offers a lifetime sharpening warranty.
Personally I am in love with spyderco but my second go to is kershaw I own a blur and the lucha. That being said benchmade offers a lifetime sharpening as well as a few other knife brands.
I have 5 Benchmade knives including the Phaeton (EDC) and Infidel. Love them! Just ordered my first Kershaw the Launch 7 with carbon handles and magnacut blade. Can't wait to check it out.
I just bought the Kershaw Iridium & Kershaw Heist. Can't wait till they come in. Enjoyed the video comparison, your unique approach in handling them & presentation of the stats. Subscribed...
I love my iridium! Razor sharp out the box, no lock rock, the KVT ball bearings make the action like butter plus it has a perfectly centered beautiful D2 blade with solid lockup so no blade play AT ALL and ive noticed no lock-rock. Win for the Iridium IMO as its a MUCH better value for a knife of similar build quality. My only small gripe about the Iridium is I wish it was made in America but I cant expect that for the price. Maybe they will release U.S.A made versions in the future with better materials but honestly the quality feels way more premium than a $60.00 to $100 (retail $99.99) knife. as of now im enjoying the hell out of mine! Great review and channel! ✌️
I love to hear it! I did see they released a limited premium with cpm20cv but not sure if that one was made in the states Regardless I agree- an absolutely high value knife! Thank you for watching the channel!👊🏽🔪
Great video, i'll pick an Iridium as soon as i can. Benchmade prices are crazy nowadays. Btw any chance we get to see a review of the Benchmade Presidio II? I think that one has a fair price for what it offers
I'm a big Benchmade fan but I'd still get the Iridium over the Bugout. The Kershaw seems to be a very solid choice and the price difference is just ridiculous. Microtech seems to be similarly overpriced, it'd be interesting to see how some of their offerings measure up.
Bro! That is a great video idea!! Random people off the street guess which one costs more!😱😂 I wonder how that would fair with people who knew nothing!
Got the iridium and the heist. Great value and quality on both models my heist is easier to draw and has a bit better feel. I've had several Benchmades and wasn't impressed with what I got plus their customer service was unmotivated. Kershaw gave me free springs just for asking and answered all my questions.
i would like to see the Kershaw iridium titanium version vs the benchmade bugout.,.. both use premium metals and the price to performance ratio is much closer to each other in that respect... that comparison would be much closer and i would like to see what you think would be ther better choice ?
It's just psychotic how much the Benchmade and some other brands are still charging for those blades when there is so much competition, and you are really not buying quality over quantity. It's like they rely on the history and sell to us that they are higher value when they are not.
Iridium all the way. For $65 it’s a better knife at a better value. The only thing I wish is it would come with a Safeway switch. Axis locks tend to close when pommeled. I think they should all come with safety’s. Just my opinion.
You should have done the review with the regular Bugout since you are reviewing the regular Iridium! You compared the upgraded Bugout with stock Iridium. The Bugout has to be upgraded or you have to buy it already upgraded in order for it to even remotely compare with the Iridium. The Bugout is nowhere close to as good as the Iridium. Not even remotely close! The Bugout is a joke. A ridiculously overpriced piece of trash. It’s not as bad when you upgrade to the metal handles, but the regular Bugout has only half the knife handle attatched to the blade/mechanism. It’s bendable and plastic like material on the second half of the handle, no metal frame at all. Just plastic that’s easily bendable. I wouldn’t pay $20.00 for one. I own one but didn’t pay for it. I knew better.
Hard to go with Benchmade these days-- their prices have gone up while well-made US knives are available for less (Hogue, Kershaw) and Chinese factories are putting out very nice stuff. Want a Bugout with Micarta? Oknife Rubato. Want a cheaper Bugout with FRN scales but no flex? Böker Kihon DC. Want an US-made MagnaCut Bugout? Kershaw Bel Air. Want a Bugout in 154 CM and more variety of handle and blade styles? Kizer has it covered. Yeah, Benchmade is making it harder & harder to justify buying nowadays...
My son bought the mini bugout and it broke within a month. The axis lock spring is its weak point. I was very disappointed and had very high expectations. Don’t get me wrong. Bench made fixed it. But now I’m left feeling like the high price pays for future repairs. This was a horrible first experience with Benchmade And so far it hasn’t been worth the hype. We’ll see. I have a trove of budget knives that have been tested repeatedly and have lasted decades without issue. Pretty sure my son learned a lesson here
@tacticaltavern I think the iridium is a cheap junk knife with bad steel the benchmade is a great knife but overpriced for what the specs and type of steel you get I personally look for m390 sv 110 maybe sv 90 cr20 even cruwear or vanx is great but I use my knifes even the collectors one idc
I love the 940, after that I have nothing good to say about Bitchmade! Kershaw however meets all buying categories! The Bare knuckle being a perfect knife!
When two knives are comparable
but one of them
for the price
you can get a backup
for your backup
for your backup
for your original knife
it's kind of a no-brainer
This is too good! Hahahaha
😂
This is so freaking true!
Best comment all day 😂👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love to see the continued support from the big companies! Nice to have comparable options in different budgets
Absolutely!
Very good objective comparison video. But really, the Kershaw automatically wins simply for NOT being a Benchmade. And by the way Kershaw also offers a lifetime sharpening warranty.
Thank you! Appreciate the added information too 👊🏽🔪
I’m really curious about if they are going to do a mini Heist or Iridium. If they do, the Mini Bugout’s days will be numbered…
Mini irridium now out😎👍bye bye Benchmade😂
Personally I am in love with spyderco but my second go to is kershaw I own a blur and the lucha. That being said benchmade offers a lifetime sharpening as well as a few other knife brands.
This channel is underrated my man. Keep going and more people will join.
I appreciate that! thank you for watching! 👊🏽
I have 5 Benchmade knives including the Phaeton (EDC) and Infidel. Love them! Just ordered my first Kershaw the Launch 7 with carbon handles and magnacut blade. Can't wait to check it out.
Right on!!
More great content from the best tactical blade reviews on youtube
Thank you brother!!👊🏽🔪

Awesome! Thank you!

This was a great comparison. Thanks for the info. I went with the Kershaw. Maybe Benchmade next.
Excellent choice and best value!
Great video, i'll pick an Iridium as soon as i can. Benchmade prices are crazy nowadays. Btw any chance we get to see a review of the Benchmade Presidio II? I think that one has a fair price for what it offers
I own and like both. I think I’m done with Benchmade though. $500+ for their Narrow is outrageous.
WILD!!!
I have the carbon bugout and Iridium, and I EDC the iridium and Ekko more than the bugout. It just feels right.
I'm a big Benchmade fan but I'd still get the Iridium over the Bugout. The Kershaw seems to be a very solid choice and the price difference is just ridiculous. Microtech seems to be similarly overpriced, it'd be interesting to see how some of their offerings measure up.
I'd like to see the Kershaw compared to the CJRB Pyrite for best budget knife....
Great comparison man,
I own both knives and IMO the Iridium feels more premium in hand while being the better value.
Bro! That is a great video idea!!
Random people off the street guess which one costs more!😱😂
I wonder how that would fair with people who knew nothing!
@@tacticaltavernDo you know if anyone makes micarta handles for the Iridium?
Hmmm I don’t off the top of my head but I am sure they will be coming soon!

Awesome review amigo 😉😎💪🙏
Aye thank you very much!💯
Another great review sir!👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it- Thanks for watching!
Great review, man! Kershaw is the better value by a mile.
Thank you! I agree!
I went with the mini iridium. Not bad
It's just psychotic how much the Benchmade and some other brands are still charging for those blades when there is so much competition, and you are really not buying quality over quantity. It's like they rely on the history and sell to us that they are higher value when they are not.
Preach, my friend! 🙌
Great video 👍🏼
Thank you for watching! 🔥🍻
i think you should check out the kershaw covalent. i find it to be a fantastic knife and by far the best designed clip.
I will have to check that out!!
I think a better apples to apples would be the Bugout and the Deka, which in that case the deka wins hands down in my opinion.
Iridium all the way. For $65 it’s a better knife at a better value. The only thing I wish is it would come with a Safeway switch. Axis locks tend to close when pommeled. I think they should all come with safety’s. Just my opinion.
Extra safety never hurt!
The Iridium is 100% a better knife
Why are you not comparing the grivory bugout? This is the premium bugout. The Iridium also has premium version. 😊
Good point however I wanted to compare the aluminum to the aluminum versions ✅
You should have done the review with the regular Bugout since you are reviewing the regular Iridium!
You compared the upgraded Bugout with stock Iridium.
The Bugout has to be upgraded or you have to buy it already upgraded in order for it to even remotely compare with the Iridium. The Bugout is nowhere close to as good as the Iridium. Not even remotely close!

I wouldn’t pay $20.00 for one.
I own one but didn’t pay for it. I knew better.
The Iridium looks better, is cheaper and D2 is more than enough

You make a great point! It is extremely competitive 👊🏽 luckily for us there are so many great value options!!
Benchmade lost their minds with their pricing.
It’s up there for sure 😅
My son bought the mini bugout and it broke within a month. The axis lock spring is its weak point. I was very disappointed and had very high expectations. Don’t get me wrong. Bench made fixed it. Benchmade is over priced.but i do enjoy there blades .but more so Kershaw if your on a budget.both are fine knives yes .
Iridium vs Heist
In my opinion, Benchmade Bugout wins for sure.
Please slow down.
Watch the video at half speed buddy
Benchmade have become ridiculously expensive. I’m done with the brand
Ain't nobody paying 2024 Benchmade prices! Freaking ridiculous!
🥲🦋
American made end of story
What if they made an American version of the Kershaw? Then would you still pick Benchmade?
It's a folder. Neither will outperform a fixed blade. So buy the more affordable option.
Very true and good advise!
Fixed blades all day 🔥🔪
Huh lmao
What does your comment mean?
@tacticaltavern I think the iridium is a cheap junk knife with bad steel the benchmade is a great knife but overpriced for what the specs and type of steel you get I personally look for m390 sv 110 maybe sv 90 cr20 even cruwear or vanx is great but I use my knifes even the collectors one idc
The bugout sucks
Why?
I love the 940, after that I have nothing good to say about Bitchmade!
