This is the song my wife and I played for our first wedding dance. I know the song is actually kinda dark but for us this song reminded us of when we first fell in love. Every moment is better with a soundtrack and this was ours!
This is art. Something you can interpret in different ways every time. It can make you happy, and it can also make you sad. This song is dedicated to the being I've loved most in the world thus far. If you're lucky enough to have everything that matters right now, I hope you realize you have everything now. And you don't waste it searching for everyTHING else. I love you P, always forever.
This song is a work of art, I heard it for the first time today. I have never heard a song which could make you feel so happy, yet so melancholy, such a range of emotions. I’m 44 and must have listened to this at least 2 dozen times today.
Definitely the most catchy song from Arcade Fire. I love the great ironic difference between the lyrics and the melody. Emptiness never sounded this positive! And it's impossible to sit still through it.
Great video and song from this Montreal band first scene nationally on SNL in 2017which included this great classic. Loved the flute. That's church music to me. Literally.
This is a truly magical song, It has a clean sound that many songs from this decade seems to lack, when I originally heard this on the radio, I thought it from the 90's, and every time I hear it I think "yes, this is how modern music should sound" maybe all the big players of modern music should take a look and learn from this masterpiece, a modern classic, one of the only pieces of 2010s music I like, and a true great in my opinion. watch this space
@@EE-ky5nt Indeed since I made that comment I have been made more aware of the great stuff being made, it really is great to see, if a little sad that so much goes underappreciated, such is the way I guess
" _There’s sort of an everything-nowness to life. I feel like almost every event and everything that happens surrounds you on all sides. Some of it is fake and some of it is real and some of it is trying to sell you something and some of it is profound. Every moment of everything refracts into a thousand different things. It’s trying to capture some of the experiences of being alive now in all its flaws and all its glory. I remember being in a cafe once and I was overhearing this woman talking about watching The Sopranos and they had just finished watching The Sopranos, like they kind of binge-watched The Sopranos over a weekend. One of them was saying, “Oh, it’s so annoying that there’s no more Sopranos. I guess I’m gonna have to find something else to watch.” This was maybe six years ago-five years ago and it just hit me that this thing that took ten years to make someone watched in a weekend and was annoyed there wasn’t more. I was like whoa; I feel like culturally the moment and this kind of era that we’ve entered into of kind of everything-nowness has positive and negative sides to it but it’s definitely a new way of being._ " -Win Butler, BBC Radio 1
I went to Lorde's concert here in Korea today, and it was a blast; here is hoping that Arcade Fire, my favorite band in the world, would one day come here as well. There are a lot of AF fans here in the Land of Morning Calm.
While some songs were a bit underwhelming for me. Overall I think the album is beautiful. It makes me think of a whole generation of people like me who grew up having rather comfortable, easy lives and still ended up not being as happy as expected, wanting to have a break from the relentless stimulation we experience every single day, and yet not being able to live without it. It shows the complexity of our zeitgeist, suffering a silent, anxious and apparently unjustified sadness that makes no sense, but hurts, and a strong yearning that never seems to be satisfied.
One of the few songs in this day and age that captures that 80's new wave sound without feeling disingenuous. The only thing that's missing is it being recorded on analog tape!
It's three years later and I still don't have an answer... This is probably the catchiest, most infectious and, yes, danceable song AF ever recorded and yet... There is definitely something rotten in our pop culture.
Every inch of sky's got a star Every inch of skin's got a scar I guess that you've got everything now Every inch of space in your head Is filled up with the things that you read I guess you've got everything now And every film that you've ever seen Fills the spaces up in your dreams That reminds me...
Czech Airlines jingle from like 2006 sounds soo similar, first time I heard this song I got smacked back to that year, they played it right after we landed in Prague from jfk :D I almost cried it was so vivid
if I had a nickel for every time Thomas Bangalter sampled an obscure song about Cola I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

@@chrisfromkc5698 Thank you Chris, I know you are too ♥️
For a song that has an upbeat tune, the lyrics have a rather deeper yet slightly darker meaning to it. I like it.
Cuando escuché por primera vez pensé que era una música de los 80’s.
Es del año 2017 y sigue sonando en 2023 ❤️🎵

Mads Rosenberg holy shit, this is the most accurate statement of this song! I love it
This is unique, great song, even after all this time.

Uplifting, soothing... Everything now you need in this COVID 19 era...
Definitely bro 👍
How can such an upbeat tempo song send a strong down to earth message about status and wealth meaning nothing if you're still unhappy is beyond me.
Love this song! Getting ABBA feels.
Muy hermoso te ase sentir como si estuvieras viajando solo cierrra los hojos

This album is BEAUTIFUL and bittersweet. I dont care about what the critics say, it may not be their best but it doesnt mean its bad.

There is so much great music being made today you just have to search for it. The radio won't reveal the gems to you most of the time.

A happy but sad song ! Love it

@@davidvasquezz1 I have to thank you, i just listened for your comment and i fuck*n love it! Thanks man
Yep...hasn't lost a bit of magic since released.
I've been listening to a lot of depressing songs. Didn't realize how much I needed a song like this.
This song definitely should Playing while the world end.
So 80's...i love it.
Beat pop song of that year hands down.

Let's ask them... Can you add Korea to your agenda Arcade Fire ? :^) I wish u a positive answer
I love this band!...and this song even more because it was the one that gave my life a breakthrough.😎♥️

Heard this on the radio a few times but never caught the name of it, superb tune though glad to of found it. Feel good and melancholy at the same time
Only discovered this song lately and to me it feels like a really good pick me up track to listen to.
Absolutely love it
This song takes me to this mode like a trance---- a good feeling. though ---- that takes you to nostalgic sensation.

This was a really touching and accurate observation. Couldn't say it better
I can relate to this so much, damn I thought it was only me that felt like this
Wow Victor, great words man, you popped it all in a nutshell!
This totally nailed it, similar to Rosy R’s thought here.
Dude, that is a sobering and deep comment.
This song is beautiful
So great..so strong...so sweet...
I feel this, I feel my soul has been lifted.
Espectacular y Maravillosa.....

Love this song so much.
ABBA vibe. Love it
Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk produced this track
How comes this hasn't been a smash hit?????

2021 and this song is still a magical piece of music
This is a masterpiece, like always. Congrats!
Just amazing.
This is the video of Gen X when we were in our 20s - finally and poetically coming to us in our 50s when we are able to appreciate it.
And we realise our Gen Z offspring are just an horrific turbo charged version of ourselves when we were their age.
ca fait un peu années 80 , vraiment super !
Great song and sure it definitely has an ABBA vibe
Me encanta este temazo........😘😘😘
Thank you Arcade Fire. Bought the album this morning and also managed to get tickets for the Dublin gig. Its a good day!

HIMNO THE FREEDOM💪🐊
muy buena canción
for some reason I always imagined that this was a song from the 90s, but that said, I would consider this a modern classic...
"Til every room in my house is filled with shit I couldnt live without"
Love it!!
Ultra Power song great 😎😎😎👏👏👏👏👏
Reminds me of Mario Kart N64 Rainbow Road every time
Esta rola rola tiene un aire setentero
The pygmy flute savagely pedalling the whole song is great.
amooooo esta canción❤
70s sound!!
Alive & Kickin
Si te parece un temazo, es desde la nota uno, el ritmo está entre los 70 y algo que está por llegar como un sentimiento.
