The GameSir G8 Galileo seems to take the best parts of my GameSir X2 Pro and adds some quality of life features like the grips and headphone jack. I also like that it works with both major phone platforms, so, anyone who decides to switch teams down the line won't have to buy a new controller. One other thing I really like about this controller, which is something shared with all GameSir telescopic controllers, is that wide bridge that connects the two halves. When you clamp a phone in the middle it feels solid, like a real handheld. The Kishi (both generations) and Backbone are nice; but, their narrow bridges make them not as solid feeling. They wiggle a bit. It's annoying. GameSirs don't have that weakness, in my experience.

im happy game sir finally made analog trickers that work with iPhone! I like their controllers for the moving usb port makes it easier to move! also less likely of breaking! this controller seems good my question is does the phone mode support button mapping? or is that android only thanks!

i was about to buy x2 pro, but it has no headphone jack which is a dealbreaker for me. Galileo has that but it's bulkier than x2pro. Should I wait for something else to launch or buy the galileo?

Great looking controller. Definitely not as compact as backbone one but with the power phones are putting out these days you can find yourself with a more or less fully fledged handheld console.

Looks premium and comfy, really like they include headphone jack and pass thru usb c charging. Maybe I can use it for my old phone as dedicated android emulator console.
this is a great video i have two kids so getting the money for one some day will be tough, but it is a personal goal of mine to own a controller this nice
The only thing I hate about this kind of telescopic controller is that we cannot attach the cooler while playing games. Gamesir needs to make another version with a built-in cooling system like their X3 or LeadJoy M1.
Personally id rather not have a bulky fan attached. The only use fir it would be if im emulating switch.

It seems one of the features that is necessary for an android phone with is virtual button mapping is not present on even higher end devices like the backbone one.Which is sad because not all games support a gamepad so having virtual button mapping can be a life saver.

It's still quite surreal that we're now able to play AAA quality games on a mobile phone. Having a controller compliments that very well! And this is a really nice controller
Basically the A17 performance is not far from the M1 performance, what demolished the laptop market 3 years ago, so if you count that your phone is as strong as a 3 years old laptop, that is not that big supprise, this is why we can't see any huge performance jumps year by year, the phones are already "too powerfull" for a phone.
@@TamasKiss-yk4stlooking at the gameplay of resident Evil on the iPhone that doesn't look to be true just yet. Phomes are insanely powerful but not quite on the level on a high end laptop yet
