This doesn't replace a boom op or balanced audio.🤓🧐 That said, just cuz I have a camera doesn't mean I don't shoot not-LOG video on my phone sometimes (I'm making a comparison). 🥴😅 Affiliate link: pumperjones.com/microboom Link to the short video made with BOOM: ruclips.net/video/8PjuFyZIp3s/видео.html
Great Review. It would be more useful to me if the cable was reversed. Female on the mic end and Male on the camera end. All of my small mics except for my Lav receivers have male 3.5mm outputs
Same here. That double female 3.5mm adapter lives on the microboom, currently. I daily drive the VideoMic Pro. They seem to have designed the cabling with something like the VideoMicro II in mind. That said it can handle a lot more weight than that. Frankly, this would be a great mount for the VideoMic NTG.
Yeah, I found the angle that kept it out prior to this shoot. Fortunately, it has markers on the angle rotation piece, so I was able to get repeatable results. As far as I can tell it's only getting into the shot as much as the operator allows (ex my "vlog walking shot"). If it's in the frame - adjust slightly, and lock it down. That said, I wouldn't use it for anything action heavy. Walking was about as far as I'd like to push it on camera.

Really excited to use this when we travel for interviews on the go!
Thanks for your review :)
Sure! Thanks for making it. Hope it works out (as a product) as well for you, as it has for me!

looks like it will get in the shot a lot
