That is a huge pygmy! I've never seen one that big. They are always so chill, in a coil on top of pinestraw against house. I've never seen one moving. They are easily seen, if you stay aware & alert, just look for that coiled pattern. Thnx great vid!
Thanks! I am with you on your love for these snakes. I currently have my own dusky pygmy, a beautiful red Carolina pygmy and I’m working on tracking down a western pygmy too!
Crofab is so ridiculously overpriced but needed and they know that. Its a monopoly all by themselves so they can sell it for whatever they want and we don’t have any other choice but to pay it or chance dying all tho very unlikely from a pig.
@@naturecoastcolubrids in 2020 I caught EIGHT Florida Softshell Turtles! Yay! I always walk em down to the water barefoot, lettem go. They always come back, dig nest lay eggs in my driveway, eggs never make it to hatch, we got foxes, coyotes, opossum, raccoons, many birds of prey, feral cats, I love the NWFL critters round Bay County. I've caught ONE Snapping Turtle, gotta doit by the tail. I've caught one rabbit. (Cool, huh? I ain't no girlygirl!)
@@naturecoastcolubrids I remember it from maybe 10-15 years ago. The guy was my age then. I tried to look it up last night but couldn’t find anything. I’ll look some more today. I definitely remember it and it was definitely a pigmy.

pygmy rattlesnake is so underrated, I bet if they were a larger breed people would be more interested but gosh are they beautiful
Super cool video. I have a Carolina pygmy myself. I absolutely love this species of snake.

Wife was bitten last week. Ambulance was there 5 mins after bite. 2 days in hopsital and $100, 000s in medical bills. $65K of that was for crofab
What's a crofab?

Beautiful pygmy Rattler!
It would be really helpful to have a video that gives us the sound of the rattle?
The pygmy is so small you really can't hear it's rattle at all.
Hey. I just liked & subbed.
Thank you!

There was a death in Duson Louisiana. A guy picked up a football and got bitten.
There is no record of that anywhere that I can find. When was this?

The word pygmy doesn't make me whine any less
I have one sitting on the side of my house. Not comfortable with him being there.
