For ground, I would recommend focusing on capturing points first. Pushing towards the enemy is also not your only choice for when no new enemies appear, you can also just sit behind a capture point and defend it. I would also recommend to always be in clsoe proximity to your team so that they can help you if you do get shot. I am planning on making a video where I go more into detail on how to get better at the game but that's probably still a bit away, so stay tuned :)
