I'm an American and love my country and wanted to thank them for serving and also thank you for serving your country and being our closest ally. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 RIP to the great Toby Keith.
Just found your channel. I am so sorry that you and your fellow Veterans are not respected as you should be. I would like to say "Thank you all for your service". We are all a part of the human race and should always show respect to those that have sacrificed for something bigger than themselves. We love and appreciate all of you!!
Toby wrote what all of us Americans were feeling after 9/11. Saying we were angry is putting it politely lol. Toby really supported our troops, both active & Veterans. If you notice that I put this in past tense, it's bc Toby sadly passed away Monday February 5, 2024 from stomach Cancer that he had been battling for the last few yrs.😭
It's sad your veterans don't get the recognition they deserve! So, from a fellow patriot from America, to you and all you compatriots, a gigantic thank you for your service! We in the USA recognize and thank you for your contributions to freedom around the world!
I wish you had that over there. Of course my ancestors were British,Scottish,Dutch. We love our country. My dad fought in WWII and Korea, well he could fight but he worked in a field hospital in Italy where he assisted physicians, surgeons, and cared for the injured and maimed soldiers in the USArmy. He could never talk about it. The only question he ever answered was why he fought and what kept the soldiers going. His answer was LOVE of this country and our people and our principles. Such integrity&patriotism that generation had! He passed it on to me, thank God. I am an AmericanChristianPatriot thru and thru. My British Cureton and Woodham families came here in the beginning when we were British colonies in 1600's except the DuBois came South in the 1800's from NY. He was one of the first who came south and married a Creek Indian daughter of a chief. She and her DuBois husband founded the town of Tallassee,Alabama on the Tallapoosa River near Montgomery,Alabama. You can tell by those names the Creek Indian language was used for the town and the River!
As a mother of 2 sons whom are active U.S. Army. I promise you that you and all of your British bothers and sisters that have served along side the U.S. We in the U.S.A. are just as proud of y'all, we thank you just as much as we do our military.
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service to your country. It takes a special person to give 10 years of your life to your country!!🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
Young man. I've never set foot in the U.K. but I would still like to thank you for your service. 10 years is a long time and you deserve to be recognized by all. Thank you, sir!
I'm an American vet and I would like to thank you and all of our Brothers and Sisters in Arms! You are great allies and we know we can always rely on you! I salute you all! 🇺🇸❤🇬🇧 God bless you Sir!
As one vet (USA) to another, thank YOU for your service. America loves her allies and wants to make friends and peace with her 'enemies'. Here's a virtual high five for you: 🖐
Thank you for your service and for Britain being an Allie in Afghanistan for the United States. We appreciate your service and all you did backing the USA up. Much respect to you.
My father served in the RCAF/RAF in WWII in the Battle of Britain. At the end of the war the US Generals offered my dad's Pathfinder Squadron to transfer into the USAF... he served as a fighter pilot in Korea, 5 tours in Vietnam and the Cold War and never looked back to Canada. He retired as a senior colonel (who turned down his brigadier star 6 times so he could continue to fly combat) and he died shortly after retiring. He instilled this kind of patriotism in all of his kids... that we are passing to our children to keep his legacy alive. You are absolutely right on when you say that this kind of fighting spirit and patriotism doesn't really exist outside of the USA. I believe that this song and video reminds the free world that they have much to appreciate for having the USA on their side as allies. God bless America for being the guardian of freedom for so long.
I was a 20 year USAF vet that got out in 1990 . I live outside an Air Force Base and when I'm outside with my 8 year old grandson at 5:00 pm we can hear Retreat playing and we both face the music and put out hand over our hearts. I taught him this respect for our country at an early age.
Well, I'm an American and I want to thank you for your service!!! Great Britain and the United States ALWAYS stands together so, I feel honored to thank you for your service, you did after all, stand up with Americans in the middle east to defend freedom!!!
Well, your 10 years of service is recognized by us Americans, for we've been going to battle together the last 200 years. Really hope your country can find a way to appreciate what you provide. Semper Fi!
Thank you so much for your service. I’m a former military spouse and we consider you our brothers in the fight to ensure freedom and democracy. Thank you sir.
I am an American but I want to say thank you sir for your service to your country I believe you and every veteran should be honored for what they've done. I also consider y'all over in the UK my brother's and sisters
Craig, thank you for your 10 years of service to your country. Many people here in the US will buy soldiers a meal if they see them out in uniform or restaurants will often offer discounts. I know i have bought meals several times for Service men an women if I see them in a restaurant in uniform. It is the least one can do for someone putting their live on the line for their country.
9/11....first it was complete shock, then the unbelievable heartbreak as the toll kept climbing...then the sheer ANGER that every American had....he describes it perfectly in this song. Thank you for you service and here is a virtual high five! :)) Toby has always been patriotic, but he has some very fun, humorous songs too.
Thank you SO SO MUCH for standing with our Troops & having their backs!! Americans TRULY Appreciate your sacrifices & Service & your beautiful families too! 🥰🙏🏻🇺🇸Blessings!!
Toby is much like most southern Christian men who grew up here in the United States most of us are multi generational service volunteers. Thank you sir for taking the time to learn a little about us .
I am a US Navy Vet. I served during the 1st Persian Gulf War. I want to Personally Thank you for Serving YOUR COUNTRY and putting your life on the line to keep others safe! God Bless! oh and HIGH FIVES !!
My hubby was a Navy Medic stationed with the Marines for a time. He loved it and made it his career. Thank you to all our Military - past, present and future. God Bless you all! 🙂
I am fortunate to have several members that have served and gave their life so we remain Free. All service members, veterans, and those that gave their life deserve respect, honor, and thankfulness! Without them our lives would be different.
Not gonna lie, I'm not a huge Toby Keith fan... but this song was exactly the right thing for a country reeling in the early aughts. I was in my local Kroger grocery store around 9:00 AM on the 20th anniversary last year. They shut the corporate music off, cranked the PA volume to the MAX, and played this song over someone's cell phone. “The Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist” still gives me goosebumps every time. Virtual high five: ✋🏻
Well then on behalf of someone in the USA who’s husband served in the army, Thank you for your service!!!! We are all still here because of all of you and you could never understand how much we really appreciate you!!!
I’m from Texas and I want to say Thank You for your service. 🇺🇸 Another song by Toby Keith that you might like “American Soldier”. Also, Trace Adkins sings a great song called “Arlington”. It’s in honor of the Arlington National Cemetery. It’s a place where a lot of soldiers are buried going back to the civil war. A singer named Darryl Worly who wrote a song about the 9/11 attacks which was around the same time Toby wrote Angry American. Anyway, Darryl’s song is called “Have You Forgotten”.
I come from a long family in the military I am a veteran myself and I am honored for the song tears are in my eyes I lived thru many wars Thur my family some did not come home!!!!
JOE HERE AGAIN, I WAS READING SOME OF YOUR COMMENTS SEE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MENTION THAT YOU WERE MILATARY, AND WE WILL RESPOND. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR SERVICE, DONT KNOW YOUR NAME YET, BUT EVERYONE WHO READS MY COMMENT THANK THIS MAN FOR HIS SERVICE.
Thank you so much for your service! You don’t have to be an American for this song to apply to you. If you believe in fighting for freedom and peace…you are a Patriot. ❤
Thank you for your service from Canada! Not many countries show this type of pride in their military. I too enjoy this song especially since it was a 9/11 inspired song. Toby Keith as you saw in this video makes it a point to perform for the military going where they are at to do it. NOT very many performers do, very few.
Well, let me say first, Thank you for YOUR Service!! Bless you and all who have served! Thank you for your reaction as well!! I love this song and am definitely a patriot here in the US. This song and video bring tears to my eyes and a smile to my face every time.
OMg I just heard u say you spent 10 yrs in the British Army and you've never gotten the respect from songs like we do in the USA... I'm just going to say to you right now... I have so much respect for you... You served your country... 10 yrs... nothing but respect... wish Great Britain.. had song writers like Toby and Alan.
Thank you for serving alongside our Troops! From this Veteran's wife and Army Brat. It's truly sad that your country doesn't acknowledge your Troops. God Bless you!💕🙏 from 🇺🇲
Best song ever!!! 🇺🇸 This was how we, Americans, reacted as soon as we could breath again!! The the 911 Attack, NOT a War. It was an Ambush Against Our Citizens, Men, Women & Children! WE were ANGRY! EVERYONE WAS ON BOARD! wrote & sang this in response to that Horrific, Cowardly Attack! He performed his SONG FIRST to AMERICAN MILITARY LIVE! Their reaction was the Truth & Said it All. God Bless You! 🙏🇺🇸
Thank you for your service and I definitely understand where your coming from, we are lucky to have patriots. They are on the decline but we are still here and dont plan on leaving🇺🇸
While I am American, I would like to take the time to say Thank you for your service. To your country, and in effect ours. So know that there are so very many of us on this side of the "pond" who appreciate all of you over there!! Thank you!!
I am a proud American citizen (my British Empire ancestors having arrived here in the 1600’s) and want to thank you and your fellow soldiers (my distant cousins) for your service. I think part of our patriotic fervor is due to the fact that we won our War for Independence and the War of 1812 (even though we also helped you out 100 years later in WWI and WWII) and still guard our freedom quite ferociously from foreign and domestic threats. Nobody messes with the US of A and lives to talk about it!! 🥰
Thank you for your service. 💙 I was a nurse for 35 yrs and always made a point to thank every Veteran that I met. I was 15 when Vietnam War ended and our Veterans were treated so badly that I made a point to praise their sacrifices for our Country. Many have cried saying they were spit on in our streets and learned to hide their selfless actions. Most were drafted so could never understand how people could be so ugly. We are going through tough times for 2 yrs, and need to stand together for our Freedoms. God bless ❤
First Thank You for your service. My Father-In-Law served in the Canadian Army for 35 years he retired in 1997. Another great song by Toby Keith is a duet he did with Willie Nelson called, "Beer For My Horses". I think you'll like this one. Have a great day and again, thanks for your service, after all we were all on the same side.
Craig we definitely thank you for your 10 years of service alongside your American Brothers and Sisters and are proud that you did. I gave you an "air high five" to the TV. We do believe here that Soldiers should be treated with respect and a certain amount of decency, they've generally paid a high price for it. I've bought meals for Service men and women, paid for uber or Taxi rides and things like that. It's easy for us to do small simple things like that, because we do lay down and sleep peacefully in our beds at night while they are putting themselves in harms way....just like you did for your Country. I'm a Marine Corp brat, born at Balboa Air Force Base in San Diego, CA, and my son was in the Army and is now an Army National Guardsman. Great reaction to the song!!!
Thank you for your service from a patriotic American! God bless you sir! Please pray for Toby as he's battling stomach cancer. I believe God has lots more songs to sing & vets to see. So ,pray he's back singing again.
Thank you Craig, for your10 years of service for your country. Because you guys are our Brothers in arms and we will be, where we need to be, any time for you guys as well!! God Bless, brother.
Yes ! I’m with you Karen!! What’s wrong with being patriotic anyway. It brings people together in a beautiful way. I was raised in a patriotic home and I’m so proud to be an American.
We own a lot of our veteran appreciation to the Vietnam vets. How our country treated those boys was horrible. Literally spitting in their faces. Having experienced that many Vietnam veterans made it a point to welcome home our service members with the dignity and respect they weren't given. You will often see veterans groups at the air port encouraging new recruits leaving for training and welcoming home our warriors. It took our country a while to separate our feeling about war from the citizens we ask to fight it. It's not all sunshine and roses. A lot of it is just lip service. It's easy to say " thank you for your service", and harder to actually look at veteran suicide rates, homelessness, mental and physical health issues. Once again that's where the brotherhood of veterans steps up. 9/11 also paid a huge part in our service appreciation. So many of us were teens when it happened and signed up to do our part. One group would serve and get out just in time to see our younger siblings and cousins go to serve in the same conflict. My baby brother just finished his military service almost 20 years after our oldest brother finished his. Thank you for your service. Even if your countrymen don't full appreciate what you have done, the American people honor the sacrifices of our allies. It's one thing standing up for your own country, it's another to go to war to stand in solidarity with an Ally.
One name JANE FONDA. Back when I still was a smoker (yea!) I"d drive to VA to buy my Marlboro Reds. It was Veteran's Day and saw a biker's T-shirt saying "We'll forgive Jane Fonda when the Jews forgive Hitler." I grew up watching what we did to Viet Nam vets. Here's my contribution: I'm worth millions -- since I never had kids, every penny's going to our troops. Check out charities, and if they're not up to snuff, no money. Wounded Warriors sounds perfect, but they're not trust worthy. Somebody ought to tell Trace he's being used
@@nancysexton4364: I totally agree about Wounded Warriors, and telling Trace!! You might consider "Tunnels to Towers".... They're a group, like "Habitat for Humanity", but they build houses for military veterans---plus, they put in ramps, and special fixtures, and stuff, where needed, for wounded vets! As a veteran, I appreciate your kindness/thoughtfulness!!
@@catwhisperer9489 I'm amending my will/foundation and TtoT will be added (already give them monthly donations.) Also Gary Sinese's fdn., Gold Star Families, Fisher House, Disabled Vets of America, and am now checking out Paraylyzed Vets of Amer. If you have any other suggestions, I'd welcome them. God bless.
From an American Vet to a British Vet, let me thank you for your service, young man!! God bless!!
As a U.S. Marine I have fought alone side the Brits in iraq. We Marines have a high regard for the British forces, all brits should thank them daily.
My son told me the same thing.
From an angry American, Thank you for serving. All defenders of freedom deserve respect and a free "pint?".
I lost my husband in Iraq in 2009 he was my boots to the ground never give up marine , my Navajo warrior
Rest In Peace my marine
A’HO ❤️❤️
Thank you for his sacrifice.
We thank you for your service. Served 21 years and met many different coalition services and it was always an honor.

As a fellow vet I'm sorry that you don't have that same kind of patriotism in th UK. You deserve it as someone who fought for your country
I believe the British do have the same kind of patriotism. It would show itself if a 911 happened there.
During World War II Winston Churchill gave an inspiring speech and and kept England from surrending to The German
Well said Rich, I whole heartily agree!
You to Sandra!

This song is one of the very few that can turn people worldwide into patriotic Americans
From an American thank you for serving for your country, it helped the world.

All men and women who fight for their country deserves so much love and respect for their fellow countrymen. Thank you to all military.
My Grand Mother came to the good old US as a child from London with her family after WW2. She is really patriotic about both great countries!
Thank you for your service. We know what a sacrifice everyone gave for the cause of freedom. Again, THANK YOU

Toby is patriotic, wears his heart on his sleeve, and has a warped sense of humor. I truly hope you go down this rabbit hole…
Thank you for your service! And you can join the spirit of America pride anytime.
I am fortunate to have several members that have served and gave their life so we remain Free.

Craig, I too want to thank you for your service. I wish that all who have served for peace would celebrate their military men and women.
Thank you for your service from Canada! Not many countries show this type of pride in their military. I too enjoy this song especially since it was a 9/11 inspired song. I'm so happy you finally got to this one. After the shock of 9/11 this captured the feeling of a great many Americans.
This is us. The very embodiment of any and all American patriot!
Well, let me say first, Thank you for YOUR Service!! Bless you and all who have served! Thank you for your reaction as well!! I love this song and am definitely a patriot here in the US. This song and video bring tears to my eyes and a smile to my face every time.

First I want to thank you for your service. As an American myself, I will share this song with you. The British flag is red, white and blue, 🇺🇸 ❤️🇬🇧💯😎
Thank you so much for your service!! Your American friends appreciate you!!!
He has another great song called "An American Soldier" that I think you would like.
Let me say Thank you for your service. It is appreciated.
Thank you Craig, for your10 years of service for your country. Because you guys are our Brothers in arms and we will be, where we need to be, any time for you guys as well!! God Bless, brother.
❤
Thank you for your service to freedom. From an American cousin🖐
Whenever I hear these patriotic songs I wanna burst with pride of our country, our military and what we stand for. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A. 🙏❤
Yes ! I’m with you Karen!! What’s wrong with being patriotic anyway. It brings people together in a beautiful way. I was raised in a patriotic home and I’m so proud to be an American.
Thank you thank you for your service both to your nation and to the world.
❤ Oh, this is so beautifully written!!
I'm a Desert Storm era veteran, and the tears welled-up, reading this!! Thankyou, SO MUCH!!! ❤
God bless.
@@nancysexton4364 : God bless you, too, Nancy!!
American Soldier by Toby Keith is another EXCELLENT, patriotic song. Thank you for your reactions, I enjoy watching you.
