Very insightful video on how to analyse and draft better teamcomps. I have two questions though. First, wouldn't the improved red draft still have problems since it doesn't have the better scaling (even with the ornn items) and blue side has at least 2 lanes with prio (top and bot) ? Second, what's your take on picking lux for the red team support? I feel that lux would be better than zyra as she offers damage and CC lock, similar to zyra, whilst having a shield for the whole team giving more mitigation to the poke that blue side has. Hope you keep up the good work and have a great day!
Thank you for your comment! So in terms of scaling, I think the only champion on red side that would suffer would be volibear. Every other champion has the ability to continue scaling considering the blue team's draft. If the blue team's draft consisted of any hard engage tanks than the scaling factor from red would greatly diminish, but since they are mostly made up of squishies red will gladly go into the late game with them. In terms of priority, I dont think blue side has priority bot lane anymore if its jhin zyra since that lane provides a lot of dmg and cc. Red's top side still has priority though. I think lux support would have been a good choice here too if it wasnt for the morgana. I picked zyra in this case because she has the ability to take down her black shield compared to lux. Lux supports usually go guardian rune and supportive items like athenes, mikhails, etc. but zyra goes full ap which is useful for baiting out the black shield in case anyone gets caught out by her plant barrage. I have seen it being done in solo queue but have yet to see a competitive zyra vs morgana matchup. Have a great day too!
@@zernos_park Thank you for the quick and in depth response. I think that your reasoning on why red team has scaling makes complete sense. I didn't think of it like that. For my next point there will be a tl;dr since it is my reasoning to what was said on my first comment. In the end I have the question that pertains the following section, so feel free to just answer that if you so desire. When it comes to picking lux, I believe she is much better into blue team than zyra. Like you have mentioned, zyra builds more ap and thus can burst morgana's black shield, while lux can't due to building supportive. But wouldn't that advantage from zyra be lessened in the later stages of the game? I feel that due to blue team having a poke/pick style of plan, zyra becomes weaker since her main strength, other than picking off mispositioned enemies, is zoning the enemy team on choke points, whilst lux can help mitigate blue team's poke. Moreover, as shown in lgd vs suning last bo5, lux isn't that bad into morgana in lane (although in that game it could have been due to caitlyn that the lane was so oppressive). All this to ask you if you think that, if red team was willing to sacrifice a bit of early power, lux would be a better mid/late pick? Tl;dr: wouldn't lux shield poke mitigation/pick potential outweigh zyra's burst/pick potential in the later stages of the game (if you are willing to lose a bit of early power)?
@@goncalosousa5237 From what I saw of that LGD vs Suning game, it was clear that lux and caitlyn did not win that lane because of their picks, but rather it came down to player execution and coordination from LGD that allowed them to get ahead with lux against morgana. But I do see your point about lux mitigating the poke damage with her shield. Yeah I think it would better. Zyra has to play really well in order to get value out of her plants. I can see her suffering against the poke in the later stages of the game. Good read!
I love how you pratically say "ashe is pretty good against jinx" and nowadays jinx is like meta some people getting it B1 even, but no one awnsers with ashe, just aphelios or jhin :/
