LEGO 31088 Prehistoric Sea Creatures Part 2

- So here’s Part 2 in my LEGO Prehistoric Sea Creatures series AKA Part 16 in my LEGO 31088 Deep Sea Creatures series.
There are EIGHT Prehistoric Sea Creatures that are all new MOC alternates of the LEGO 31088 Deep Sea Creatures Set that use up to FIVE LEGO 31088 sets for the biggest ones.
The eight new MOCs are Archelon, Leedsichthys, Cephalaspis, Livyatan Mellvilei, Anomalocaris, Megalodon XXL, Xiphactinus and Basilosaurus.

Ooo, looks like I inspired the XXL idea.
Are you going to make an updated MOC of Dunkleosteus? A new study was published that reconstructed Dunkleosteus to be much smaller than previously thought. The new size estimate puts Dunkleosteus at 12 feet (about 4 meters).

@@kathleennelson5635 Yeah, the new reconstruction looks kinda like if a Dunkleosteus head was stuck onto the body of one of those really fat goldfish.

For single-set deep sea creature builds, you should try a barracuda, a sea anemone (for the majestic tiger clownfish), Dory from Finding Nemo, a jellyfish, and then maybe a two-to-one anglerfish. You could call them the "Finding Nemo Alts," as they are all in Finding Nemo.
Those are all good ideas, and I think he should also do finding dory as a part 2

I think the idea of Livyatan hunting Megalodon is outdated really, considering the size difference and the fact Livyatan died out a little while before Megalodon did. Well let me explain myself: Livyatan was definitely big, 13.5 or 16.2-17.5 metres depending on which estimate you go by, and is estimated to weigh 57 tonnes based on the 17.5 m length. It lived 9.9-5 Ma (million years ago) near the end of the Miocene period until the beginning of the Pliocene period. Megalodon on the other hand was much bigger, at a maximum length of 20.3 metres and 103 metric tons. The later study suggesting a 16-metre Megalodon was in excess of 61.5 metric tons instead of 48 means it's probably even heavier at 20.3 metres, possibly even outweighing the Fin whale, which would make it the 2nd largest animal to have ever existed after the Blue whale.
It also lived from 23-3.6 Ma, 1.4 Ma after Livyatan died out.
In conclusion: Livyatan vs. Megalodon? No contest, O. megalodon is extreme diff.

Hi bricksmarty, I was just wondering if you will be making a creature with 6 sets or more because I only have 4 and I don't know how much to buy. Please let me know how many sets you will have in your biggest moc for the deep sea creatures, thank you.🙂
5 sets is the biggest MOC I've done so far - both Leedsichthys and Megaladon XXL take 5 sets. I have no plans to make bigger MOCs especially as Rebrickable only allow a maximum of 5 sets for an alternate build
