  • We need to go back to the wild source if we want to move our captive husbandry forward. But there are cautions and dangers in doing so that we need to avoid. Freshly back from Madagascar, I discuss how important wild environmental data is, the dangers in misusing it, and how to change our captive husbandry properly.

Appreciate you talking about this in-depth here, as in depth discussions about this sort of thing don't get talked about nearly enough within the hobby, even with other creators filming the process or documenting it, as you've done, or otherwise.
If we want to keep things properly, emulation is key.

I'm starting to experiment with gigging for my Uroplatus fimbriatus as they come from the same place as the tropical Madagascan chams. As I've got 39 plus cages I use a humidifier for the whole room as I can use a fogger on all these cages. Is the fog from the humidifier different? I've also noticed when I use the cool humidifier function it produces fog that only fills a small portion of my room however when I use the warm humidifier function the fog fills my whole room. Is this an acceptable way of fogging when compared to your traditional fogger and is warm fog the same?
