Could be the fact that Kali is the goddess of death..
I'm more confused about the "true blue" part, what does that mean?
keitti lauta it's translated from a French phrase but, at least where I'm from (Northern Ireland), it has been twisted to mean certainly or absolute. So, I'm assuming by the line "True blue, I'll be more than a Dead Man's Hand On You" it means he'll absolutely and certainly be more than a Dead Man's Hand on You. So, for instance, if someone asks me if I'm going out, I say "True blue!" as in certainly.
+Jon Rhys Johnston Where I'm from (United States) "true blue" means completely loyal. So I took it to mean that he won't be a burden on her if she allows him to be loyal to her.
