Hi Chad, Thanks for making this video. I agree with you, Vertical seems to offer a more focused response. I’m awaiting a Marshall Origin 50 Head, and am thinking it will be too much for my current 1x12 Cab. I don’t have the room for a 4x12 so am looking at a 2x12, but again, I didn’t favour upright, as difficult to load and unload. I think for me you’ve highlighted the perfect solution, where out of the way ‘horizontal’ at home, and ‘vertical’ when rehearsing. Kind Regards, Kyler.
It was a revelation for me. Before that, the cab seemed almost worthless. I want to put some different speakers in there, but I just can't justfiy the cost right now.
Hey Sparnz, that is a BYOG Flying V I built. They don't offer it anymore, but if I was to build a V today, it would be from Precision. precisionguitarkits.com/product/v-type
another expensive solution = amp stand +at an angle a bit then you can really start going down the neurotic rabbit hole of where the mics are supposed to go 😅
Would have never thought to do that. I would have just raised the the cabinet off the floor. Interesting concept. Keep rockin!
I read about it somewhere and had to try it!
Very interesting! I have a 4x12 and 1936 2x12 as well and feel the same way. Cheers
It's weird how placement is so important.

Yes, I think it's a reasonable solution! Good luck with the Marshall! And thank you for watching the vid.
Completely agree vertical position brings more open, clear, sustain sound..

I like your guitar mate, what is it, where can I get one lol ? 😉💚👽

@@ChadEtchison Cheers
You get the same effect if you tilt the cab backwards.
Very good to know -- thanks!!!
😅 movin the poor thing off the ground of course will be much better
killer celestions though
+now u dont have to kill ur back lugging a 4x12 🎉

It's so much lighter and it actually fits in the trunk.
im not sure if my marshall 1922 is the same speaker config (basically a 1960 lead / JCM)
i grabbed a $60 proline stand & it sounds killer🥰
@@jonniefast Thank you for mentioning that, I'll look it up!
O noooo the v fell
Haha! Thanks for watching!
Sounds dry and lifeless. Not a tight sounding cab.
